For quite a long time, the marker that defined whether or not a video on YouTube was truly successful was how many views it had gotten. There are a number of factors that impact this metric. There is of course the amount of time that a viewer watched a video as well as whether or not they actually finished it. More importantly whether or not a user gave a video a Like is also taken into account because of the fact that watching a video all the way through does not mean that you necessarily enjoyed it, a like or a share is going to indicate that you genuinely thought that it did what you were hoping it would do.

Apart from this, according to Creator Insider, YouTube is also conducting surveys in order to directly ask users what their experience was like. This is important because of the fact that it can help YouTube genuinely ascertain the kind of enjoyment people are receiving from videos rather than relying on metrics that might be the result of other factors that are not directly tied to enjoyment in general.

All of these new metrics are going to contribute to the YouTube algorithm becoming a lot better in the long run. This is important because of the fact that it plays quite an important role in the kind of videos that you would end up seeing while you are checking out what YouTube has to offer.

All eyes are on Naughty Dogs biggest game so far, The Last of Us Part 2. The developers have promised a larger world than before while not going completely open world. Director Neil Druckmann explained how the game achieved these and other gameplay details as well.

According to IGN, Druckmann explained their city of choice Seattle. He said that they picked it for thediverse locations that it offers. He also said that he thought that since players would spend a lot of time in the city, they might as well enjoy it. Notable locations in the city include residential and environmental areas.

The team at Naughty Dog said that they took in a lot of architecture in the city. The game presents a post-apocalyptic city that nature had retaken, and Seattle offered a good mix of foliage and buildings. To get as close to the experience of travelling in the city as possible, they surveyed places and scanned these to make them appear more authentic within the game.

Naughty Dog hadnt only worked on the surroundings for the game. According to Metro, they also worked on the different enemies in the game. Aside from human enemies, there are the Infected. These are different from the run-of-the-mill zombies in other games. These adversaries have a degree of intelligence an animal-like one that will try to ambush players from the shadows or when they least expect it.

Very little has changed with the gameplay from the original version. Players can still scavenge discarded junk and other materials to use in crafting. The skill trees are still essentially the same, with learning supplemented by pills and training manuals found in the wild. The doge and attack moves are still the same, but the melee combat has been improved this time around.

The Last of Us Part 2 is rated M by the ESRB Ratings Guide. It is developed by Naughty Dog Software and isscheduled for release on the PS4 on June 19. It remains to be seen whether it would be able to make its launch date on time.

We see how far we havent come confesses Don Cheadle about the themes explored in the 1980s set Black Monday. In its second season on Showtime, Black Monday explores the excesses and greed of Wall Street in the wake of the Black Monday crash of 1987. Cheadle explains Its unfortunately a very cyclical process. These systematic and institutionalized events change their face but at the bottom they are always about the same things. Equality, justice and the haves and have nots. We try to shine a ridiculous light on it and come from a place thats comedic. We are dipping our toes into all of these issues: sexual identity, race, feminism, power dynamics and the class systems. We have that perspective of 30 years, which can help shed the light on how far we havent come sometimes.

Its a show that vacillates between tones from dramatic to comedic. Cheadle reveals, Ive never minded going back and forth between those kind of things in TV, movies or plays. If you believe the characters they can take you anywhere. It doesnt throw me off if we are in a very down moment that is immediately undercut with something ludicrous. Because, when we think about our lives, sometimes and thats whats happening. We are in these heavy moments and then something bananas will happen.

Last year Cheadle received a Best Comedy Actor Emmy nomination for the show last year, the 9th for his career without a win so far for the Globe-winning and Oscar-nominated actor. On Black Monday, he plays Maurice Mo Monroe, a stock broker who starts season two on the run after being framed for causing the Black Monday event. The actor explains, Mos a live wire. Every week on the show they push the boundaries and we have an opportunity to do something that is crazier than the week before. Hes also a bit of a Don Draper in ways. Hes got this past. The best and most fun part of this year is we have been able to bring in his backstory. Weve been able to bring all these things back in play. The writers always attempt to, at the end of the season, throw all of the puzzle pieces in the air and then come back the next year and try to put it back together. It makes it feel like a high wire act and gives the show a lot of its energy.

One of the seasons most energetic and ambitious episodes was Idiot Inside, in which Mo instigates an over the top shoot-out inside a bank. Cheadle says, This season has been a lot of fun. Theres been a ton of things where we are very ambitions in what we are attempting to pull off in five days. Which is an insane schedule. We push it to the limit. The bank episode was tipping our hat to Michael Mann and the whole Miami Vice aspect. It was fun to take that milieu and treat it completely ridiculously. Two guys on roller blades are the henchmen! It was a ridiculous but a difficult scene to pull off.

Reflecting on the cast Cheadle says, We connect off camera. These are a group of people that are my friends now. All very empathetic people that are advocates for change. All of us have causes that we join with each other to help move forward. Sometimes the best things we learn from the characters that we are vicariously living these crazy things through is the cautionary tale of where not to go and what not to do. They teach us what to stay away from.

Ahead of their greatly-anticipated bout, it appears that Eddie Hall has put in the hours ahead of his fight with Game of Thrones star Hafthor Bjornsson.

When Hall was crowned the 2017 champion of World's Strongest Man, the weightlifter clocked in at over 30 stone on the scales. Now, the former world champion has boasted his impressive body transformation on Instagram, as he has dropped 22lbs in weight.

Along with the image that donned his stunning physique, 'The Beast' told his followers:"Just back from an afternoon bike ride with the kids.

"Sitting at 164kg so overall 10kg lost and feeling great for it."

Both Hall and Bjornsson were apparently close friends, according to The Beast's comments on the True Geordie podcast, however, their relationship has turned sour over recent years.

Their feud has seemed to reach boiling point recently, as Bjornsson bested Hall's 500kg world-record deadlift. The Icelandic went one kilogram further, but Hall questioned the legitimacy of his world-record attempt, as it wasn't completed during an official competition.

The pair are now due to settle their differences in the boxing ring and 'The Beast' has claimed he's feeling incredibly 'nimble' as the former champion aims to shed the weight.

Speaking on another Instagram post, Hall revealed:"It's all coming together nicely, I'm feeling good. I'm feeling strong, that's for sure.

"Bodyweight is coming down massively, I don't know what I weigh right now but I'm feeling really good.

"I was 27st 7lbs when I started when I came back from Australia.

"I anticipate to be 26 7lbs, maybe a little bit less.

"This is a good weight for me right now. I'm feeling fit, feeling nimble and I'm able to do the boxing stuff really well.

"Weight for the fight, I don't know. I could come in at 120, I could come in at 170.

"We have just got to wait and see how my body adapts to all of the training.

"The main thing is I'm keeping strong, I'm not letting anything die off.

"The boxing work has taken a backseat right now, but I'm building my fitness up so I'm preparing myself to get into the boxing work.

"Which is good, we're making progress. We've got 15/16 months until the fight, so plenty of time. I'm enjoying the journey."

An overnight fire that destroyed a shed and two vessels at the National Civil War Naval Museum in Columbus is being investigated as arson, officials say.

The fire was reported about 1:30 a.m. at the facility off Victory Drive. The large wooden shed was located behind the museum close to the Chattahoochee Riverwalk and Bulldog Bait and Tackle shop.

There were multiple points of origin, Interim Fire and EMS Chief Greg Lang told News 3 Monday morning.

The most valuable pieces of the museums collection are stored inside the main building, which did not appear to be damaged, Lang said.

The suspicious fire came hours after Columbus had its first protests in the wake of the George Floyd death in Minneapolis. Floyd, an unarmed black man, died while in police custody. The officer, shown in cell phone video with his knee on Floyds neck, has been charged with murder.

Sunday afternoon, a peaceful protest including about 100 marchers was held in downtown Columbus. It lasted about two hours. A second protest march started not long after that. Columbus police arrested dozens of protestors at the intersection of Veterans Parkway and 13th Street. Most of them were charged with failure to disburse after warning them not to enter the road, according to police.

Neither march had a required city permit. But before the original march began, police met with organizers and said the organizers followed the instructions that were outlined. Most of the original march was contained to the Broadway sidewalks.

On May 25, 2020, George Floyd was killed by members of the Minneapolis Police Department, who had pinned him to the ground with a knee on his neck while he struggled to breathe.

The protests started shortly after.

It's a heartbreakingly common story in today's America: a black man, usually, but sometimes a black woman or child, killed at the hands of police. Protests start, firings are sometimes issued and arrests are sometimes made. In this case, the officers involved have been fired and Derek Chauvin, the officer seen kneeling on Floyd's neck in a video, has been charged with third-degree murder.

Cleveland is no stranger to this kind of story. Tamir Rice was 12 when he was shot by police in a Cleveland park less than six years ago. There were no arrests.

Today, there are protests spreading across our nation. Cities are enacting curfews. And yes, there has been rioting and looting, directly harming small businesses and their owners, here in Cleveland and across the nation. As a business publication, those are stories we'll tell.

But this moment is about more than that. It's about structural racism. It's about police brutality going unchecked. It's about the different ways in which our community is hurting. Crain's wants to be there to help tell all of the community's stories.

Protests all over the country, including in Parkersburg, Florida, Minnesota, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., were held in response to the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) Protesters took to the streets across America again Sunday, with violence flaring in pockets of largely peaceful demonstrations fueled by the killings of black people at the hands of police. A truck driver apparently deliberately drove into demonstrators in Minneapolis nearly a week after George Floyd pleaded with an officer pressing a knee into his neck that he could not breathe.

Protests sprang up from Boston to San Francisco, with people robbing stores in broad daylight in Philadelphia and Santa Monica, California. In Minneapolis, the tanker truck sped into a peaceful crowd of thousands on a closed highway, but no protesters appeared to have been hit, authorities said.

The Minnesota State Patrol tweeted that the driver was apparently trying to provoke protesters and was arrested. Protesters swarmed the truck and jumped on the hood, even as it kept moving. Police then came in force to clear the highway in the city where violence erupted after last weeks death of Floyd, a black man. The protests quickly became national, spreading to dozens of cities large and small, and have lasted for days.

The officer who pressed his knee onto Floyds neck for several minutes has been charged with murder, but protesters are demanding the other three officers at the scene be prosecuted. All four were fired.

In neighboring St. Paul, thousands gathered peacefully in front of the state Capitol, pledging to keep up the protests.

Were Minnesota nice, but were not Minnesota dumb, and were not done, St. Paul Black Lives Matter organizer Darnella Wade said. They sent us the military and we only asked them for arrests.

Minnesotas governor brought in thousands of National Guard soldiers to help quell violence that had damaged or destroyed hundreds of buildings in Minneapolis over days of protests. The immense deployment appeared to have worked Saturday night, when there was comparatively little destruction.

On Sunday, in a display of force, long lines of state patrolmen and National Guard soldiers were lined up in front of the Capitol, facing the demonstrators, with perhaps a dozen military-style armored vehicles behind them.

Tensions were heightened Sunday as a second group of demonstrators protesting the death of George Floyd in Minnesota sought to join others already at Lafayette Park near the White House but were blocked by police.

Police used pepper pods and flash bangs to try to disperse the crowd, but the demonstrators held tight.

The protesters sought to engage black police officers, seeking their support. I been fighting this fight for 40 years. I been fighting this fight since the 80s. Do you think being on the outside is the solution or being on the inside and changing things is the solution, he asked them.

Gabrielle Labrosse-Ellis, 30, from Maryland, held a sign that said, Humanize black lives.

This is unacceptable. This is the last straw, she said. It has to be.

Labrosse-Ellis said she planned to leave before dark because she feared a repeat of the violence that occurred Saturday night.

Across America, demonstrators called again for an end to police violence.

They keep killing our people, said Mahira Louis, 15, who marched with her mother and several hundred others through downtown Boston. Im so sick and tired of it.

Many also joined police in pleading for a stop to violence, saying it weakened calls for justice and reform.

It only hurts the cause, said Danielle Outlaw, head of the police force in Philadelphia, where more than 200 people were arrested as fires and looting engulfed the heart of the city.

Disgust over generations of racism in a country founded by slaveholders combined with a string of recent racially charged killings to stoke the anger. Adding to that was angst from months of lockdowns brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, which has disproportionately hurt communities of color, not only in terms of infections but in job losses and economic stress.

The droves of people congregating for demonstrations threatened to trigger new outbreaks, a fact overshadowed by the boiling tensions.

Maybe this country will get the memo that we are sick of police murdering unarmed black men, said Lex Scott, founder of Black Lives Matter Utah. Maybe the next time a white police officer decides to pull the trigger, he will picture cities burning.

The scale of the protests, sweeping from coast to coast and unfolding on a single night, rivaled the historic demonstrations of the civil rights and Vietnam War eras.

Curfews were imposed in major cities around the U.S., including Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. About 5,000 National Guard soldiers and airmen were activated in 15 states and Washington, D.C.

At the Minneapolis intersection where Floyd was killed, people gathered with brooms and flowers, saying it was important to protect what they called a sacred space. The intersection was blocked with the traffic cones while a ring of flowers was laid out.

Among those descending on Minneapolis was Michael Brown Sr., the father of Michael Brown, whose killing by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, set off unrest in 2014.

I understand what this family is feeling. I understand what this community is feeling, he said.

County Commissioner Angela Conley said the demonstrations and confrontations with police would continue until the other three officers who were at the scene when Floyd was pinned down are arrested and prosecuted. The officer who held his knee on Floyds neck, Derek Chauvin, was charged last week with murder. All four officers have been fired.

Well continue to have this militarized presence in our community until justice is done, Conley said.

In tweets Sunday, President Donald Trump blamed anarchists and the media for fueling the violence. Attorney General William Barr pointed a finger at far left extremist groups. Police chiefs and politicians accused outsiders of coming in and causing the problems.

The fury also spread to Europe, where thousands gathered in Londons Trafalgar Square, clapping and waving placards despite government rules barring crowds because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In Indianapolis, two people were reported dead in bursts of downtown violence, adding to deaths reported in Detroit and Minneapolis in recent days.

Buildings around the U.S. were defaced with spray-painted messages, from the facade of St. Patricks Cathedral in New York to the historic Hay-Adams hotel near the White House. Some of Floyds gasped last words I cant breathe were repeated, alongside anti-police messages.

Crews near the White House worked to replace windows that had been shattered with large pieces of wood. Buildings for blocks were marked with graffiti, including curses about Trump. Shattered glass still covered the sidewalks. The damaged buildings included the Department of Veterans Affairs, directly across the street from the White House.
