Seattles Blood and Biohazard Cleaners Ups its Game with New Asbestos, Lead Paint and Mold Remediation Services

    - April 9, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

Seattle, Wa (PRWEB) April 09, 2015

Blood and Biohazard Cleaners has three new additions to its arsenal of professional biohazard cleaning services which already includes blood and bodily fluid, decomposition, crime scene and hoarding remediation. The company is now trained and licensed for mold, asbestos and lead paint clean up.

The strong demand for these services is surprising, tells Dan Lombardi, owner of Blood and Biohazard Cleaners. We began receiving calls so I decided we should get our staff fully trained to deal with these biohazard situations. Now we are and we are busy than ever.

Lombardis company has grown from one employee last year to seven today and attributes this to his companys professionalism and ethics. Blood and Biohazard provides the following industry-leading guarantees:

Guarantee 1: The client will not pay more than our initial estimate.

Guarantee 2: BBC will continue the cleanup until the client is satisfied and passed their visual inspection. There will be no additional cost.

Guarantee 3: If something is found after the work is completed, BBC will return to clean it. There will be no additional cost.

As far as professionalism is concerned, staff have taken specialized courses handling asbestos, mold, blood work and lead based paints and their proper disposal with Cole & Associates, an engineering firm dedicated to workplace safety and environmentally sound guidance for construction management and corporate training endeavors.

In fact, Blood and Biohazard Cleaners is now located with Cole & Associates at 8657 S 190 St., Kent WA.

We have had a tremendous year of expansion and we expect 2015 will find us even busier, comments Lombardi. Expanding our services for asbestos, mold and lead paint cleanups is just another step in our growth. We look forward to helping many more people and companies across Washington state but particularly in the Seattle-Tacoma area with their biohazard cleanup problems.

    Tupelo Police Start Move

    - April 9, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

TUPELO, Miss. Tupelo Police Department operations will begin moving immediately to the old Mississippi National Guard aviation facility on West Jackson Street at the Tupelo Regional Airport.

The move comes after an inspection of the roof for repair by ServPro of Tupelo, which revealed the possibility of mold in the Records Division on Court Street.

The roof inspection came on the heels of the Police Department Detectives Division moving to the former Tupelo Water and Light Collections building on Court Street because of the possibility of mold.

After ServPros inspection, city officials called in Mold Inc. of Memphis to study the mold situation. Since roof repairs were also needed at the Front Street Police Central building, the possible presence of mold there was studied as well.

Today, Mold Inc. responded with a verbal report that prompted Mayor Jason Shelton to order the move out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of city employees who work in those buildings.

Since roof repairs, water damage repairs and possible mold remediation would require both operations to be temporarily relocated, the decision was made to move operations to an alternate facility that could be used until the completion of the new police building in late 2016. In anticipation of major roof repairs, the city had explored several rental options.

Of those options, the former Mississippi National Guard facility is the most viable.

While done out of an overabundance of caution, the move is a win for all involved, with a safer and more efficient working environment for our police department, income for the Tupelo Airport Authority and new opportunities for economic development in historic downtown Tupelo, said Mayor Jason Shelton.

Universal Asset Management rents a portion of the building for their operations. The Tupelo Airport Authority owns the building.

From the rental of this building and other operations, the Airport Authority reimburses the City of Tupelo for airport-related city debt service. By the city leasing the building for police operations for about $2,400 a month until the new construction is completed, the city also helps the Airport Authority to bring down its annual obligation to the city.

Morgantown couches breathe easier as outdoor furniture ban enacted

    - April 9, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

    AP

If you happen to be in the Morgantown area and notice davenports with a little extra pep in their step, now youll understand why.

According to wvpublic.org, the Morgantown city council Tuesday unanimously passed a law that would ban people living in city limits from having upholstered furniture in their yards or unenclosed porches. No one spoke in opposition to the measure prior to its passage.

For those who are unaware, West Virginians have a tendency to burn inanimate objects such as couches to celebrate big wins in sporting events, which 99 percent of the time involves West Virginia University athletics. Suffice to say, the new legislation was meant to curb such post-game torchings, which have seemingly been on the rise in recent years.

Over the last 10 years, weve had over 3,000 street fires because of the quick ability to bring furniture from porches and put it into the streets and put them on fire, Morgantown City Manager Jeff Mikorski said in a sentence that might startle some around the country but is just another day at the office for Gods Country denizens.

As far as the punitive measures meant to deter the hillbilly pyros, a fine of up to $500 can be imposed, but only after one written warning has been issued.

Of course, if the urge to torch something becomes too overwhelming, theres nothing to stop individuals from dragging the La-Z-Boy out of the house and setting it aflame. Or store it in the garage ahead of time. Or cram it into the bed of a pickup truck in anticipation of a win.

In other words, dont expect this new law to much more than slightly dent WVshallowed couch-burning tradition.
