Window Shades
Details: Blinds To Go custom-made window shades. They have a clear, P-shaped hook to hold down the cord. The cord or chain loop of the window shades clips into the device. The hook is screwed to the side of the wall or window during installation. It was shipped with the Blinds To Go custom-made roller shades with Sidewinders, Smartlift pleated and cellular shades, Panel Tracks shades and Serenity shades. They were sold at Blinds To Go showrooms and online at http://www.blindstogo.com for between $60 and $770 from January 2009 to November 2014.
Why: The shade's chain or cord loop can slip out of the hook, posing a strangulation hazard for small children.
Incidents: None.
How many: About 200,000.

Hockey Goalie Masks
Details: The recall is for the metal cages on the Bauer Concept C1 goal mask with certified titanium oval wire and the NME 10 goal mask with certified titanium oval wire that cost about $900. The recall is also for the $90 RP NME Ti Titanium replacement cage for the Concept C1 and NME 10 goalie masks. The Concept C1 and NME 10 goalie masks were sold in black or white with a titanium wire cage that attaches to the mask with two screws on each side of the mask. The Concept C1 mask is a Senior mask in sizes S/M and M/L. "Concept C1" is printed at the top of the shell. A sticker inside the shell at the jaw also lists the model and size. The NME 10 Goal Mask is a Senior mask in sizes Fit 1, Fit 2, and Fit 3. "NME10" is printed at the top of the shell. A sticker inside the shell at the jaw also lists the model and size. A side plate reads "Bauer Titanium Oval Wire" and "RPNME Ti Sr." They were sold at sporting goods stores and online from April 2013 through February 2015.
Why: The metal wires on the cages can break, which cause facial injuries or cuts.

Window shades are among recalled consumer products
Alma School District voters Tuesday passed a $3 million bond issue to raise money for facility improvements and authorized raising taxes by $985,000 to $1.2 million over the next three years.
The bond issue was approved 382 to 187 and override of the districts revenue limit on school taxes for three years passed 371 to 195.
A bond issue calls for borrowing money through issuance of general obligation bonds to install a new heating and cooling system, replace windows and upgrade lighting and digital energy controls.
A tax referendum to raise more money for operating expenses gave the district authority to surpass its revenue limit by $295,000 in 2016, up to $435,000 in 2017 and up to $495,000 in 2018.
C-FC School Board
Incumbent school board members Sue Pronschinske and Steve Scharlau won re-election to three-year terms. In a four-way race for two district-wide seats up for election, one of them a write-in candidate, Pronschinske had 462 votes, Scharlau 364, Steve Duellman, 327, and Hunter Kamrowski, 154 write-in votes.
Alma School Board
Doug Kane and Todd Myren were elected to seats on the school board Tuesday. Kane was re-elected with 423 votes. He was the only candidate on the ballot. A second board seat went to Myren with 114 write-in votes. Matt Danzinger had 6 write-in votes. Myren replaces Todd Mau, who did not run for another term.
Alma City Council
Former mayor and city alderman Corey Hanson had six write-in votes to win a three-year term in Almas 2nd Ward, where incumbent Robert Oium did not run for re-election nor did anyone else file. The ballot was blank. Incumbent Larry Farl did not file for re-election to a seat in the 2nd Ward, but was elected anyway with 16 write-in votes. In the two-year alderman-at-large seat, incumbent Gary Ruff ran unopposed and was re-elected with 175 votes.

Construction will start within a week for a single-story office building on four acres of farmland in the American Center business park on Madisons Far East Side.
The 35,440-square-foot building will be the final piece of St. John Properties four-building Madison East Business Center at South Biltmore Lane and Eastpark Boulevard a sort-of mini-office park within the 447-acre business park being developed by American Family Insurance.
We cater to small tenants, said Greg Fax, a regional manager in charge of Wisconsin holdings for St. John Properties, a commercial developer based in Baltimore, Maryland. Thats kind of a niche, small tenants. I can subdivide to as small as about 1,100 square feet, so I could potentially have up to 16 tenants there.
Already home to insurance offices and other white-collar companies or non-profit agencies in the other three buildings of the Madison East Business Center, there so far is no anchor tenant lined up for the fourth building, which will have an address of 4618 S. Biltmore Lane .
Its a speculative building, but were talking to people, Fax said. And the markets strong.
Fax said construction would take about six months, with tenants moving in by years end.
With a portfolio of more than 17 mil lion square feet, St. John Properties has real estate investments valued at more than $2.5 bil lion in eight states including Wisconsin, according to the companys website. In Madison, it also owns Nelson Road Business Center, a nearby office/warehouse development on Felland Road.
Charles Redjinski, a sellers agent with NAI MLG Commercial who represents American Family in all land transactions at the American Center, said the decision by St. John Properties to put up the new building before any tenants were signed bodes well for the Madison market.
There are very few developers in Madison that are kicking off a speculative office building, Redjinksi said. The market has seen an uptick, especially on the East Side, and the activity in the (American Center) is great. This is just one of many closings we have coming up.
Located off the southwest border of American Familys national headquarters at Interstate 39-90-94 and Highway 151, the center is nearly 61 percent finished, with 139 acres still for sale.
