Virginia Eadie never needed the city's help, but she got some shovel service anyway.

Video:Omaha plow dumps dirt, grass in woman's yard Monday night

"I was virtually in shock," Eadie said.

An Omaha plow driver missed the mark, dumping dirt and grass all over her driveway Monday night.

Eadie called the city to complain and then called 7 Can Help.

"She was telling me it's our responsibility for the sidewalk and I said, 'How can we be responsible for what your trucks have been doing?'" Eadie said.

Moments after KETV NewsWatch 7 arrived to record the damage, a city plow drove by and cleaned much of it up. The crew said that situations like this happen sometimes.

"That much snow, you really can't feel the curb from your plow so they run up and scalp it," the crewman said.

"We really appreciate the attention and the service, and I think your coming had a bearing on it and it could be too that we called the mayors hotline that might've also sped the process up a little bit," Eadie said.

The city said it will put sod where the plow tore up the grass, but not until the spring when the ground thaws out.

RANGERS fans today called on the under-fire Ibrox board to stand down en masse - and save the Glasgow club the cost of staging an EGM.

Dave King has declared he is "absolutely certain" he will receive enough backing to take control at his boyhood heroes at a general meeting.

South Africa-based King needs to get the support of 51 per cent of the shareholders in order to oust the current despised regime.

Gers directors who are desperately trying to cling onto power have been examining whether the "notice is properly constituted".

Senior officials at the SPFL Championship club are legally required to announce a date for the EGM by tomorrow at the latest.

And sources at the club, which agreed a controversial 10 million loan with Mike Ashley last month, have claimed it could cost up to 250,000.

But Chris Graham of the Union of Fans, an amalgamation of the six main supporters' bodies, believes there is an easy way around that.

He has called on James Easdale, Barry Leach, Derek Llambias and chairman David Somers to resign and save Rangers the money.

He said: "The sensible thing to do given the level of backing that clearly exists for Dave King would be for the board to stand down.

As Feng Shui and other traditional beliefs make a comeback among top officials of the Chinese communist regime, sixty years of mandatory atheism is showing its cracks.

In the Chinese regimes ongoing disciplinary campaign, many of the thousands of officials sacked for corruption were also caught engaging in activities decidedly inimical to the Communist Partys materialist ideologyfortune telling, consulting Buddhist monks and Taoist masters, Feng Shui, and the like.

According to a Feb. 4 commentary published in regime mouthpiece Peoples Daily, some communist leaders consult neither Marx nor Lenin, but instead various masters' when they face challenges in their lives and careers.

The article criticized Party functionaries for seeking their solutions in the supernatural, accusing them of confused faith and demoralized spirit.

Such phenomena cannot be ignored. Some leaders and cadres are obsessed with burning incense, prayers, and engaging in Feng Shui. Their offices are littered with auspicious stones and piles of fortune beads.

Feng Shui, also known as geomancy, is the ancient tradition of orienting objects such as buildings, furniture, or plants in a spiritually harmonious or auspicious manner.

Though the Communist Party promotes atheism and materialism through state propaganda and education, superstitious activities are commonplace in the Party itself.

Li Chuncheng, disgraced former deputy Party head of Sichuan Province, spent tens of millions in public funds to have a Daoist master hold an exorcism for him, according to a report by regime mouthpiece Xinhua.

Zhou Yongkang, who formerly headed Chinas vast internal security forces, had his own personal Feng Shui master, Cao Yongzheng, who was also his most trusted man, according to the mainland Chinese magazine Caixin. Zhou is now under official investigation, allegedly for corruption and misuse use of power.

Other officials consult experts to help them determine the lucky days on which to begin and conclude their projects.
