Leading international manufacturer of LED products including interior LED lights, outdoor LED lights, LED street lights, LED commercial lights, LEDUS, has announced its decision to provide direct sales to the consumer as well as continue its already significant and successful retail operation for businesses and government departments.
Tech Pro Technology Development Limited manufactures and distributes a huge variety of LED products under the LEDUS brand. The products are designed to provide a green solution for both indoor and outdoor lighting requirements. LEDUS Products are used in street lighting projects as well as a variety of industrial, commercial and residential applications. Tech Pro is proud of its ability to offer its range of products that can help to reduce power requirements by up to 80%, which not only means significant savings but helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The companys expansion into direct consumer sales has been built on its already well proven track record as a major supplier of its LEDUS products direct to businesses and a number of government projects across Europe. The company has been successful in supplying at least two local councils in Spain, for instance, with its street lighting products. The Spanish street lighting contract is projected to run for at least 16 years. Other major projects include car park lighting in Spain and Portugal and apartment block lighting in Malaysia.
LEDUS is looking to take advantage of the UK Governments serious commitment to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions over the next few years and believes that by offering its superior energy saving products it will help to achieve these goals. The Governments subsidy scheme for new build homes in the UK also means that the companys LEDUS brand indoor lighting products can offer a significant reduction in both household energy bills as well as help to address the emissions reduction target.
The company will soon have a showroom for its products in Westminster, in the heart of London, and it is planned to have a major online sales option for the individual retail consumer.
Tech Pro is listed on the stock exchange and has gradually expanded its manufacturing bases as well as its R and D centres since the company was first established. By manufacturing and selling its own products it can cut out the middleman and provide significant savings in the cost of its quality LEDUS products to all potential customers, both commercial and residential.

averda to Deploy First of Its Kind KSA Underground Waste Collection System in Saudi Arabia
The system allows for the hygienic disposal of residential, commercial and public waste through the use of a plastic container as opposed to the typical underground concrete setup. By extending its storage capacity up to five cubic metres underground, the frequency of the waste collection is reduced compared to traditional and smaller bin systems. averda is constantly improving the carbon footprint of its operations in KSA and the wider region.
The underground waste containers are also designed with the aesthetics of the architectural style of the site in which it is based and are equipped with sensors that update the collection team regarding the status of its capacity and when ready to be collected.
The underground waste solution provides cities with maximum storage capacity while utilising minimal space. This effective clean technology solution will provide KSA neighbourhoods with cleaner environments and more cost effective solutions for cities in Riyadh, Jeddah and Jubail, stated Jeroen Vincent, chief operating officer of the GCC for averda. averda continues to work closely with the Saudi government and partners to achieve a clean and green environment for the Kingdom.
Semi-underground containers were designed for on-site reloading and collection. The ability to store waste underground has a natural cooling effect that lessens odour and bacterial formation.
In addition to the underground containers system, averda provides integrated waste management services in Riyadh, Jeddah and Jubail, including cleaning, collection, disposal, treatment and recovery. The company also supports the King Abdullah University of Science and Technologys (KAUST) LEED Platinum certification, delivering sustainable integrated waste and resource management services since 2010. averda has also worked with Princess Nora University to deliver similar services since 2011 and since October last year, averda is delivering city cleaning and collection to King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC).
About averda:
averda International is the largest environmental solutions provider in the MENA region, specializing in integrated resources management. averda is at the forefront of innovation in the regional market, providing sustainable solutions and more than 35 years of experience in the effective management of waste for both private and public sector clients across pedestrian, residential, commercial and industrial areas.
averda's extensive portfolio of services ranges from street cleaning through to waste collection, treatment, disposal and recycling. The companys capabilities also include the development of solutions for water, wastewater and solid waste of public, residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, all within a sustainable framework that respects the natural environment. averda also designs and implements full-scale solutions to recover valuable and recyclable resources like paper, metals, and water.
With 10,000 employees serving millions of people every day, averda operates in full compliance with international standards for quality control throughout Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Morocco and Angola. averda is supported by GrowthGate Capital Corporation since 2008.

DIXON State Comptroller Leslie Munger remembers when Ronald Reagan was elected president in 1980, a large amount of optimism came over the country.
When she recently heard Gov. Bruce Rauner give his State of the State address, she said she noticed the same mood.
I feel there is a tremendous sense of optimism and a real belief that we can turn our state around, she said.
Munger was one of the many Republicans who came together Friday night at the annual Reagan Day Dinner at the Dixon Elks Lodge.
The 26th annual dinner was held as a way to celebrate the 104th birthday of Ronald Reagan, the Sauk Valleys most famous son.
We all love and admire Ronald Reagan, Munger said.
Before the dinner, U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Channahon, had the opportunity to tour Reagans boyhood home on Hennepin Avenue in Dixon.
Kinzinger spent about 45 minutes not only touring the home, but he also watched a short video on the former president.
As a Republican politician, to represent Reagans boyhood home is a huge honor, Kinzinger said. To come and see it was really neat.
Kinzinger also said Reagan exemplifies what America is about.

Charges that home repair contractors and attorneys are teaming up to pad claims submitted to insurers will be the focus of debate for a third straight year in Tallahassee.
State lawmakers on the House Insurance Committee are scheduled Monday to discuss possible restrictions on allowing homeowners to sign over to home repair contractors their legal rights to bill insurers for damages, accept payments and file suits in disputes over claims.
Insurers and their allies charge that contractors, public adjustors and attorneys in South Florida have created a cottage industry by submitting inflated claims for repairs, mostly water leaks, then driving up legal fees by suing if insurance companies don't pay the bills.
The practice has become a problem in South Florida, and especially Miami-Dade County, where water damage restoration companies are aggressively targeting homeowners with water damage, insurers argue.
They point to an October 2013 report from Citizens Property Insurance Co. stating that while Miami-Dade property owners make up 19 percent of all Citizens policies, they account for 35 percent of all non-sinkhole-related claims and 67 percent of claims that result in lawsuits. Another 26 percent of litigated claims originated in Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Sam Miller, executive vice president of the Florida Insurance Council, which lobbies for the insurance industry, said "inflated claims" by a group of water restoration companies in South Florida are keeping insurance rates high in Florida. "Someone shows up following a fire and knocks on your door, saying, 'We'll take care of it but you have to sign over all your benefits,' " Miller said.
State Rep. David Santiago, R-Deltona, a member of the House Insurance and Banking Subcommittee, wrote an essay in January citing warnings by former Florida Insurance Consumer Advocate Robin Wescott that the issue is driving up homeowners' insurance rates by 17 percent a year. "In some parts of the state, claims settled with an assignment of benefits form averaged $32,000, nearly triple the amount of claims settled without one," Santiago wrote.
Some homeowners have discovered that contractors placed liens on their homes after assigning their benefits, and contractors have taken payments from insurance companies and failed to complete repairs, Santiago said in an interview.
But Lee Jacobson, an Orlando-based civil litigation attorney and member of the Florida Justice Association, comprising trial attorneys, says insurance companies are raising the issue because "they don't have anything else to blame higher rates on." The Florida Justice Association was formerly called the Florida Trial Lawyers Association.
Jacobson said contractors ask policyholders to sign over benefits because insurance companies too often fail to pay up or cover the full cost of repairs. Insurers don't like when contractors "expect to be paid for the work they performed," he said.

But the Cabinet will not press for an investigation into the abrupt December departure of Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Gerald Bailey, though Scott acknowledged Thursday it is clear, in hindsight, that I could have handled it better.
Scott and the Cabinet met Thursday in Tampa for the first time since a major controversy erupted last month about Baileys ouster. Cabinet members have been critical of Scott, who initially said Bailey resigned. The former commissioner adamantly refuted that explanation and made a series of potentially damaging allegations about the Scott administration to the Miami Herald/Tampa Bay Times Tallahassee bureau.
The governors office has fought back against Baileys claims. Addressing the media after Thursdays meeting, Scott didnt elaborate about how he could have better handled the Bailey matter.
But the controversy also has led to Scott raising the possibility of replacing three agency heads who fall under the Cabinet: Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty, Revenue Department chief Marshall Stranburg and Financial Regulation Commissioner Drew Breakspear.
Among the allegations raised by Bailey was that Scotts office sought to have him falsely suggest in 2013 that acting Orange County clerk of court Colleen Reilly was the target of an investigation a request Bailey said he rejected. But there was no indication Thursday that more than one Cabinet member wanted to delve into that allegation.
Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam, who wanted the Orange County clerk review, called Baileys accusation serious. Putnam added hes talked with Bailey several times and the FDLE or the states chief inspector general could still be asked to look into the claim.
I have no reason not to believe Jerry Bailey, Putnam said.
Attorney General Pam Bondi said it will be up to Bailey to request an investigation.

In the home-building journey, the excitement is growing. Youve created a design portfolio of what youd like to see in your new home, gotten an idea of your lifes future plans and how they will impact the house, and talked to your lender about financing. Now its time to narrow down the specifics.
In your research, what house type style fits your needs and tastes best? Still not sure? Annette Stahl, personal design coach and marketing director for Dultmeier Homes said, When picking a home style its important to think about how do you want to live. Do you entertain large groups? Will you have elderly friends or family that will need to get in and out of your home? Will there be small children? Style is all about you and how you want to live.
The most common Topeka home style is the Ranch. This type is known for being built on one level with an efficient use of space. Ranch homes can be rectangular, or built in an L or U shape.
Kansans are pragmatic, Michael Wilson, President of Architect One said. We want the biggest bang for our buck. The Ranch is efficient and affordable, with a more open floor plan, lower pitched roof, and attached garages.
Ranch homes work well for most people. The single-floor living allows for the children to be on the same floor as the parents, as well as having the laundry room located on the same floor as the bedrooms. These homes can be handicapped accessible and easier to navigate as people age. Also, because of their single-level low profile, Ranch homes are energy efficient.
The con of a Ranch is lot size, Stahl said. Many times, to get as many bedrooms as families may need, especially with the increase of blended families, if they choose a Ranch, only two or three bedrooms will fit on the main floor and fit on the lot. Fifty-six percent of all new construction homes have three car garages, leaving little house on the main for a forth or fifth bedroom.
Wilson noted that many homes are not true Ranches anymore. Some are a hybrid mix of elements from other styles. For example, a ranch may have Craftsman elements or Italianate columns. Plus, there is always the Split-level Ranch, where one section of the house is lowered and another section is raised, with short flights of stairs leading from one level to the next.
Other popular home styles in Topeka include:
Craftsman, or Arts and Crafts Stylealso known as the bungalow style, this type of home has overhanging eaves, a low-pitched gabled roof, and a wide front porch with tapered, square columns. The home is built with lots of rough wood, stone and stucco. Inside is an open floor plan with wood built-in cabinets and shelving. In Topeka, a popular variation is the Airplane Bungalow, with a small second-floor area centered on the building known for looking like the cockpit of a plane. People liked this style because opening the upper floor windows allowed air to flow through and cool off the house on a hot summer evening.
American Foursquarealso known as the Prairie Box, this style became popular as a mail order house kit sold in catalogs. Built with brick, stone, stucco, concrete block or wood siding, this two and a half-story style has a simple box shape with a full front porch and large central attic dormer on top. Inside is a four-room over four-room floor plan.
