Queenstown police plan to release CCTV footage later today of an assault which left a man with facial injuries.
The victim was knocked unconscious outside Devil Burger restaurant, Church Street, at 2.45am on Saturday.
Police said he then received several blows while unconscious on the ground.
Acting Sergeant Jason Reid said: "We're waiting for the medical report but it appears he had blood coming from his ear and sustained facial injuries, particularly around his left eye, which is possibly fractured."
The victim was taken to Lakes District Hospital.
Acting Sgt Reid said there were no suspects as yet.
"We'll be releasing CCTV footage this afternoon hoping to identify people we want to speak to, including a girl who was standing nearby who we believe witnessed the assault."
Yesterday, police released an image of a man in a dark T-shirt and dark skinny jeans who they want to question.
Anyone with information should contact Detective Matt Jones at Queenstown police station.

The Australian dollar is one US cent weaker after interest rate cut expectations for February pushed the currency down to a fresh five-and-a-half year low.
At 1700 AEDT on Friday, the local unit was trading at 77.91 US cents, down from 78.98 cents on Thursday.
Speculation that the Reserve Bank of Australia would cut the cash rate next week, or at least start signalling possible cuts this year, sparked a sell-off.
The currency fell as low as 77.20 US cents on Friday morning, its weakest level since July 2009.
Financial markets are now pricing a February rate cut as a two in three chance, hurting the Australian dollar, Commonwealth Bank currency strategist Joseph Capurso said.
'There's significantly more weakness in the Aussie to come,' he said.
A healthy set of US economic growth figures for the December quarter, due for release on Friday night, was expected to boost the greenback and further weaken the Australian dollar.
Mr Capurso said the local currency was likely to fall to 75 US cents by the end of March as the US Federal Reserve considered raising its rate.
'It pushes the US dollar up against every currency, it pushes the Aussie down,' he said.

BRITT|When it comes time for his building trades class, Kole Ross likes not having to sit in a desk.
Instead, the West Hancock High School senior is usually working on a project in the shop or on a shed at a job site.
"It's more hands-on," he said of teacher Paul Francis' class. "It's a lot easier to learn than sitting in a classroom listening to the teacher lecture."
"We get to go build an actual building," Ross said.
And on an actual job site.
The West Hancock students recently completed a made-to-order shed for Ray Tlach. The 16 by 16 by 13 foot shed was built on Tlach's farm near Duncan.
"It's one of the bigger and nicer ones we've done," Francis said.
The building trades students usually build two to three sheds a year. The sheds are made-to-order and sold to area customers.
Francis was impressed with the work the students put into completing the larger shed for Tlach's farm.
The students measured the site and then came back to the West Hancock shop to build the walls and rafters. The completed pieces were hauled out to Tlach's farm on a trailer and assembled on site.

401(k) plans can be a powerful tool in promoting financial security in retirement. They are a valuable option for businesses considering a retirement plan, providing benefits to employees and their employers.
Employers start a 401(k) plan for many reasons:
This publication highlights some of a 401(k) plans advantages, some of your options and responsibilities as an employer operating a 401(k) plan, and the differences among the types of 401(k) plans. For more information, a list of resources for you and for 401(k) plan participants is included at the end of this booklet.
When you establish a 401(k) plan, you must take certain basic actions. One of your first decisions will be whether to set up the plan yourself or to consult a professional or financial institutionsuch as a bank, mutual fund provider, or insurance companyto help with establishing and maintaining the plan. In addition, there are four initial steps for setting up a 401(k) plan:
Adopt a written plan documentPlans begin with a written document that serves as the foundation for day-to-day plan operations. If you have hired someone to help with your plan, that person likely will provide the document. If not, consider obtaining assistance from a financial institution or retirement plan professional. In either case, you will be bound by the terms of the plan document.
Once you have decided on a 401(k) plan, you will need to choose the type of 401(k) plan that is best for youa traditional 401(k) plan, a safe harbor 401(k) plan, or an automatic enrollment 401(k) plan. In all of these plans, participants can make contributions through salary deductions.
A traditional 401(k) plan offers the maximum flexibility among the three types of plans. Employers have discretion over whether to make contributions for all participants, to match employees deferrals, to do both, or to do neither. These contributions can be subject to a vesting schedule (which provides that an employees right to employer contributions becomes nonforfeitable only after a period of time). Annual testing ensures that benefits for rank-and-file employees are proportional to benefits for owners/managers.
There are several kinds of 401(k) plans that aren't subject to the annual contributions testing required with traditional 401(k) plans. These are known as safe harbor 401(k) plans and, in exchange for avoiding the annual testing, employees in these plans must receive a certain level of employer contributions. Under the most popular safe harbor 401(k) plan (discussed in this publication), mandatory employer contributions must be fully vested when made.

WAYNE An 81-year-old woman crashed her car over a retaining wall on the property of the Hinchman Concrete Co. on Saturday, one day after her family reported her missing and state police issued a silver alert, Capt. Laurence Martin said in a press release.
Mary Gwenn was reported missing by her daughter at about 10:30 p.m. on Friday after she left her residence that afternoon without a cellphone and failed to return, police said.
An employee of the concrete company discovered Gwenn's 2005 Buick LeSabre suspended between the four-foot-high retaining wall and the ground at about 1:10 p.m. Saturday, police said. Gwenn, who police said suffers from medical issues, was inside the vehicle, exposed to the cold and in life-threatening condition.
Gwenn was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, according to the news release. Wayne police continue to investigate the incident and ask any witnesses to contact the Traffic Bureau at 973-633-3520.

CROWN POINT | The vacant Ponderosa restaurant on Main Street will be demolished soon to make way for a new complex that will house at least two restaurants, including the relocating Pop's Italian Beef and Sausage.
John Neckus, of Ascend Real Estate Advisors in Chesterton, said the owner of the Pop's, who currently leases the space at 1150 N. Main St. in Crown Point, plans to build an 11,500-square-foot restaurant and retail structure for up to five businesses.
Neckus said Pop's would use 3,200 square feet for the main restaurant and use another 1,900 square feet as a party and entertainment room. The Little Italy family restaurant will be opening its third location in another 3,200-square-foot space of the complex.
The remaining space is available and can be separate 1,900-square-foot businesses or combined into one, Neckus said. He is looking for any type of business, retail or food service, interested in leasing the space.
The owner of Pop's already has a permit to demolish the Ponderosa, and Neckus said plans for the new enterprise will be completed in 30-45 days. The project will then have to go through the city approval process, but the owner hopes to start construction by May 1 and be ready to open Sept. 1.
"The mayor and his staff have been wonderful to work with," Neckus said, "and the hope is that this project will be one of many where we can take a property that is in foreclosure or is vacant or underutilized and put in new businesses and services to turn them into productive properties."
Mayor David Uran said the Ponderosa was a family owned business for many years and the city was sorry to see it close, but he is excited to see Pop's moving there.
"We've had some initial meetings with them, and we anticipate in the next couple of months to see some action," Uran said.
Neckus said he recently signed on to do something similar for the former Anderson car dealership on Main Street just north of the Ponderosa.
"We are happy to work with the city to make these type of efforts possible," he said. "We want to bring together the people and investors to turn these properties into productive use."

Residential remodeling is set for modest growth in 2015, according to experts at a press conference hosted by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodelers at the International Builders' Show (IBS) in Las Vegas. Remodelers appearing on the panel agreed with the forecast, citing home owners' changing demographics and increased financial security.
NAHB projects that residential remodeling spending on owner-occupied single-family homes will increase a modest 3 percent in 2015 over 2014, and another 1.5 percent in 2016.
"Remodelers are responding to calls from home owners on steadier financial footing than recent years," said 2015 NAHB Remodelers Chairman Robert Criner, GMR, GMB, CAPS, CGP, a remodeler from Newport News, Va. "From major kitchen remodels and bath facelifts to room additions, the members of NAHB Remodelers look forward to providing professional remodeling services in 2015."
"Among our clientele, a demographic shift towards remodeling urban homes is taking place," said Mike Nagel, CGR, CAPS, a remodeler from Chicago. "Our recent jobs tend to be in the city and the projects have increased in size."
"Existing homes sales and house prices both hit soft spots in 2014 that dealt a glancing blow to residential remodeling businesses," said Paul Emrath, NAHB's vice president for survey and housing policy research. "We expect those drags are behind us in 2015, an outlook consistent with the optimism expressed by remodeler members in our recent Remodeling Market Index (RMI) survey."
