Flagstones are a popular choice for walkways and patios because of their natural beauty and durability. Stefan Grunkemeier from Simply Rocks shows us how to install one.
Unlike the uniformity of brick and pavers, no flagstone path is alike. Flagstone is a sedimentary rock; types include sandstone, limestone and slate. Colours range from blue to brown and red, offering a hue for every taste.
Installing flagstones requires excavation of the path using a shovel and then laying sand or gravel and grading it with a rake and hand tamper. Levels of varying lengths are needed to balance the stones and set a pitch if needed for better drainage.

Dont be a packrat
See those paper bags you left lying on the floor because you havent decided if youre throwing them or keeping them because they might be handy someday? Well, someday is too vague of a word, and the next thing you know you just piled up an eyesore in the middle of your bedroom. Give away or donate things you do not need or see yourself using anymore, Erika commentsor sell them perhaps. A clever trick of achieving this is through the Four Box Method come cleaning day. Get three boxes; label each one with storage, give/sell and put away; place them next to the trash bin (the fourth box), and simply toss whatever item to its respective box. Keep only the essential!
Label it
Compartmentalize your shelves, drawers and cabinets; designate a specific space for a group of items and label it. Shoes go there, cleaning supplies go here. It makes putting things away faster, and unlike just stuffing it all inside the storage closet, itll make it easier for you to find things when you need them.

University of Kentucky Selects UBU Sports Synthetic Turf for Their New Stadium Improvements
University of Kentucky select UBU Sports synthetic turf as part of their renovation of Commonwealth Stadium. Local Lexington company Vescio SportFields will contribute to the installation of the synthetic turf field by handling the base construction and Kiefer USA will execute the synthetic turf installation.
The University of Kentucky has selected the UBU-Speed Series-S5-M, which was featured in the 2013 NFL Super Bowl at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, the 2014 NFL Super Bowl at Met Life stadium, and is featured in the NFL Pro Bowl and NCAA BCS Sugar Bowl, annually.

The renovations at Marston Hall have become a history lesson of Iowa State University from a century ago.
Tearing up the floor, workers have found items such as English pottery, an inkwell, lab bottles and a perfume bottle.
On other levels of Marston, a five-gallon bucket for lard, an old light bulb and a cider barrel from the early 1900s with a cup from the late 1800s were found.
The lard bucket, dated to the mid 1930s, was brought up to the attic and left there.
Marston Hall is currently in the process of a complete renovation that is expected to be finished in spring 2016.
Most all of this was common or not unusual to find at Iowa State at the time, said Kerry Dixon, project manager of the Marston Hall renovation.
Dixon, who also oversaw renovations at Curtiss and Morrill Halls, said finding old artifacts from early campus days isnt uncommon, but this project has produced many more than usual.
And Im sure we will find more things as we continue, she said.
All of the pottery, which includes various kinds of plates, saucers and cups, are in bits and pieces and only two pieces have writings that identify their origins Staffordshire and Tunstall pottery.
The items under the floor were likely left there during early construction on Marston, originally called Engineering Hall, when they dug up the water line that is directly underneath the building, running from the now-Marston water tower to Olde Main, which has since been replaced by Beardshear, and other campus buildings.
