Over the decades, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis wrote notes to some of her favorite designers. She even drew sketches of pieces she wanted.

This weekend, some of these letters will be auctioned off in West Palm Beach, Florida.

CBS News correspondent Vicente Arenas got an inside look at some of those highly sought-after items, and at the late first lady's flair for fashion.

Elegant, sophisticated, graceful: just some of the words that come to mind when describing Jackie O.

Her notes to her designer and to her interior decorator, being auctioned off by Rico Baca, show just how closely she cultivated her signature style.

"She's inviting these people into her life, to get close to her, close enough to give her what she wanted," Baca said.

He said those notes offered designers a look into a very private part of her life.

"She would have to be a little bit vulnerable," Baca said.

The Hilton on Michigan Avenue marks a new location for the annual event, which is completely sold out for the first time since 2010. That fan response speaks to the seven impact additions general manager Rick Hahn has made to the team's strong base during this current offseason, as well as the 10-year anniversary festivities for the World Series champs, which will mark the beginning of SoxFest.

Sales already were very solid because of the 2005 connection. But thanks to a month of December in which there seemed to be a White Sox press release every other day, single-day SoxFest passes sold out in minutes when they were put on sale.

Geoff Blum, Joe Crede, Jose Contreras, Jon Garland, Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez, Bobby Jenks, Scott Podsednik, Aaron Rowand and Tadahito Iguchi are scheduled to appear in representation of the 2005 champs. Iguchi still plays professionally in Japan, so he's bringing his whole family to Chicago next week in case he can't make the in-season reunion weekend from July 17-19.

Active players such as Zach Duke, Dan Jennings, David Robertson, Jeff Samardzija, Adam Eaton, Tyler Flowers, Jose Abreu, Avisail Garcia, Conor Gillaspie, Jake Petricka, Jose Quintana and Alexei Ramirez are scheduled to be in attendance, as will prospects such as Tim Anderson, Courtney Hawkins, Micah Johnson and Carlos Rodon and White Sox greats Bo Jackson, Ron Kittle, Carlos May, Bill Melton, Minnie Minoso and Billy Pierce. Manager Robin Ventura, pitching coach Don Cooper, hitting coach Todd Steverson and assistant hitting coach Harold Baines represent the staff.

John Danks originally was listed but won't be able to get to Chicago, while Chris Sale had a personal conflict causing him to miss. Paul Konerko, the captain, is taking a well-earned SoxFest off while enjoying retirement, but he will be in Chicago to have his jersey No. 14 retried via a pregame tribute on May 23. Ozzie Guillen, the manager of the 2005 team, will be out of the country but was invited.

Abreu only will be at SoxFest on Friday, leaving Saturday for the New York BBWAA Awards dinner, where he will receive his American League Rookie of the Year honor.

A different sort of video experience will be present at SoxFest, as well as a brand new interactive area that includes social media. SoxFest will have a Hall of Fame experience, with memorabilia many fans never get to see, as well as the popular garage sale.

There will be plenty of chances for fans to get autographs and take pictures with their favorite players, as well as interact through their chosen question-and-answer sessions. Town hall meetings with Hahn and Ventura are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, and with Ventura and the coaches on Sunday.

"It's a great year in the sense of the combination of excitement around the 10th anniversary for the 2005 World Series champions and the excitement around the 2015 club," said White Sox senior vice president of communications Scott Reifert concerning SoxFest.

Stratford homeowners are being urged to take care this winter and guard against burst pipes.

Every winter unsuspecting property owners experience catastrophic frozen pipe bursts. According to Aquarion Water Company, unprotected pipes and water meters can freeze and expand within hours of the onset of frigid weather. Pipes running through uninsulated exterior walls or other unheated spaces usually are at the highest risk, although pipes in heated rooms can freeze if exposed to cold drafts.

Frozen pipes can burst, resulting in thousands of dollars in damage for remodeling, mold remediation, emergency substitute housing costs, as well as the loss of irreplaceable belongings. To help customers avoid these problems, Aquarions website Aquarionwater.com is featuring tips on preventing frozen pipes and meters.

It doesnt take much. Even a tiny split in a pipe can spew hundreds of gallons of water into your home or business in one day, said Donna Parlatore, Director of Utility Operations for Aquarion Water Company. We strongly encourage property owners to review and utilize the frozen pipe and meter prevention tips on our website to prevent this from happening to them.

Keeping cold temperatures away from pipes and water meters with insulation is far easier and less expensive than replacing pipes that freeze and burst. Some actions customers can take to prevent frozen pipes include:

Letting a faucet fed by pipes exposed to the cold drip to prevent the water inside from freezing.

Never completely shutting off the heat in a building unless all the pipes and toilets are drained first.

Keeping the doors to rooms where the pipes and water meter are located, including sink cabinets, open so warm air can keep temperatures above freezing.

Eliminating cold drafts near water pipes (and, if indoors, the water meter) by filling cracks in walls and around windows, replacing broken glass, and installing storm windows on basement windows.

If a meter freezes, Aquarion will send a service technician to replace it, but the company will not thaw frozen pipes or repair burst ones. Parlatore also stressed that anyone trying to thaw a pipe on their own should never use a torch or open flame.

Today Precision-Paragon [P2] announced that 430 of the manufacturers energy-efficient LED lighting product configurations achieved DesignLights Consortium (DLC) Qualified Products Listing during 2014.

The DLC Qualified Products List is the industrys leading public list of high quality, high efficiency LED products for the commercial sector. To be included on the list, a product must meet rigorous quality standards, and have its efficacy and lifespan independently tested and verified by a qualified laboratory.

DLC listing is also a requirement of many utility- and government-administered energy-efficiency rebate programs and incentives across the country.

DLC listing is important for lighting professionals and building owners said Russ Price, [P2] director of engineering. So we made it a priority during the past year, and it will continue to be a priority going forward.

At the end of 2013, [P2] had 122 LED products on the DLC Qualified Products List. Today, the company has a total of 552 DLC listed products. Fifty-six of those products are retrofit kits, 101 are outdoor luminaires and the remaining 395 are a mixture of indoor and specialty application LED luminaires.

There is no one-size-fits-all in energy-efficient lighting, said Price. Now our customers can choose from over 550 DLC listed LED products from [P2] when theyre planning their next lighting retrofit.

One hundred and forty-one of [P2]s DLC listed products are rated at efficacies of 100 lumens per watt or higher, and 15 are rated at 110 lumens per watt or higher.

Not too long ago, 100 lumens per watt was a dream, said Price. Today we can offer over a hundred different products with that level of efficiency.
