Igloo Announces The Party Bar The First Cooler Featuring LiddUp LED Lighting System

    - January 10, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

KATY, Texas (PRWEB) January 09, 2015

Igloo Products Corp., the industry leader in cooler manufacturing, today announced the initial product offering in its collaboration with LiddUp, LLC, the cooler LED lighting system provider as seen on ABCs reality television series, Shark Tank. The Party Bara new, highly accessorized mobile cooler designed for indoor/outdoor at-home entertaining will launch in early spring 2015 and be the first cooler to feature LiddUps patented LED interior lighting system.

Part cooler, part bar cart; the Party Bar has got you covered for every entertaining occasionfrom holiday parties with the whole family, to large scale tailgating for the big game, to low key backyard cook outs with the neighbors. Consumers will be thrilled when they see this sleek, versatile cooler in stores. The Party Bar doesnt make you trade quality and functionality for something that looks fabulous in your home, said Igloo product manager Lisa Silva.

The Party Barpowered by LiddUp provides 360 degree interior lighting using 16 water-resistant, heat-free LEDs built directly into the cooler. This gives each and every partygoer the ability to find what theyre looking for quickly and easily. Weve all been therenighttime, pitch black, digging through a cooler sloshing around trying to find a particular drink. With the Party Bar, LiddUp and Igloo are making frozen handed and frustrated a thing of the past, said Jayson Sandberg, Inventor and Founder of LiddUp.

While developing the Party Bar and understanding how consumers were going to use it most, it was obvious that it was the right cooler to launch the LiddUp lighting system, explained Silva. In the Party Bar, the lights are more than just a functional featuretheyre part of the fun.

The fully insulated cooler is housed in a detachable base with heavy-duty, lockable casters allowing for easy transport of the Party Bar to the center of the action, while the locking feature keeps it safely in place. The translucent lid and LED lighting tempts partygoers with the coolers contents so they can select their favorite libations with ease at any time of the day or night.

The combination of this products distinctive, stylish aesthetic and unique feature-set creates a cooler that is more suited in an outdoor kitchen than in a deer blind, Silva continued. No details have been overlooked. The Party Bar includes integrated utility loops to hang utensils or towels, a threaded drain plug for optional hose hook up and the requisite front mounted bottle opener is improved by an added catch bin for hassle free cap disposal. Two removable drink dividers help organize and separate items within the cooler and a removable bottle caddysized to hold wine bottles or 2-liter soda bottlesmake access to popular items easier.

The Party Barpowered by LiddUpwill be available at select retailers in early Spring 2015 with an MSRP of $199.99.

Igloo and LiddUp will be unveiling the Party Bar to the public for the first time at the 2015 Sports Licensing and Tailgate Show on Jan. 14. The Showheld annually in Las Vegasis the premier event for brand owners, licensors, licensees and retailers interested in sports licensed products, hosting more than 300 exhibitors and thousands of retailers each year.

Boulder architecture firms Sopher, Sparn merge

    - January 10, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

Two longtime Boulder architects have combined their operations.

Stephen Sparn Architects, PC, recently merged with Sopher Architects LLC, creating Sopher Sparn Architects LLC, a 15-employee firm headquartered at 1731 15th St., the entities announced this week.

    Financial terms were not disclosed.

"Our practices complement each other," said Stephen Sparn, principal architect. "We're differentiated enough that there's some synergistic effects."

Sopher's experience in the areas of land planning and entitlement paired well with Sparn Architects' expertise in custom home, multifamily and commercial design, Sparn said.

As a result of the merger, which took effect Jan. 1, Sopher moved his three-person operation to Sparn's newly expanded offices at 1731 15 St. in downtown Boulder, where Sopher Sparn Architects occupy 2,000 square feet.

Sopher Architects previously leased a suite at the Colorado Building, 1919 14th St., in downtown Boulder.

For Sopher, the combination was a means of facilitating further expansion for a practice that experienced exponential growth during the past four years.

"I can't imagine that we could have done more, in the scale of office that we had," Sopher said of his firm's potential growth prior to the merger.

The combined firm this year is moving forward on a couple of notable projects in Boulder, including the 10-acre S*PARK mixed-use project near Boulder Junction and a $5 million renovation of the Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder.

    Construction Continues Along Hillsborough Street

    - January 10, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

RALEIGH The beginning of 2015 brings more construction to Hillsborough Street in Raleigh. The street revitalization continues with more than a dozen projects, including more housing and retail space.

The North Carolina State red color that fills Hillsborough Street is slowly turning orange, as construction barrels and signs dominate the sides.

"There's constant construction and changing the area around...which it's hard sometimes because there's traffic, said BlueTique Cheap Chic manager Molly Bergeson.

Bergesons business is barricaded behind a chunk of construction, but she said the change is good.

"We're just looking forward to seeing how things change and being a part of that, she said.

Hillsborough Streets website shows more than a dozen projects taking place.

One of the projects is Stanhope Residential, near Concord Street. The project is led by developer John Kane.

"Stanhope Residential is 822 beds and about 30,000 feet of retail on the lower level, so it should really kind of bookend transform to Hillsborough Street, he said.

Another project taking place is Aloft Hotel, which is being built across from the NCSU Memorial Bell Tower.

"We think between those two you'll start to see fill in along the way that need to be redeveloped, said Kane.
