Chinese Family to Kardashians: Feng Shui You!

    - December 5, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

Feng Shui You! 12/3/2014 3:10 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

A Chinese man -- considered the Asian Ryan Seacrest -- has filed a lawsuit alleging the Kardashians trashed his house in the worst way -- they told America it had bad feng shui.

Jianxiang Huang and Li Weihong bought the house in Calabasas in 2012 ... right next door to Kourtney. They left it vacant and asked their realtor to maintain it until they eventually moved in.

Fast forward to last August, when Jianxiang returned to America to find the house in what he believed was shambles -- there was oil on the backsplash, metal bowls were not stacked properly, sugar and salt were "significantly used" and there were even Pittsburgh Steelers slippers in the closet!

Jianxiang sued his realtor, and dropped a BOMBSHELL ... a neighbor told Jianxiang his house was on an episode of "Keeping Up the with Kardashians" in January, when Khloe was looking for a home to escape the Lamar drama. Cameras were rolling when the fam trashed the house, saying it had bad feng shui.

Jianxiang was humiliated, saying in his lawsuit 2 million people worldwide -- plus his neighbor -- saw the Kardashians bring great dishonor to his house.

He's suing the realtor for all sorts of things, including "aiding and abetting a trespass." The Kardashians were not sued.

Kardashian sisters 'filmed inside Chinese man's home without him knowing, before saying it had bad feng shui'

    - December 5, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

A Chinese man has filed a lawsuit claiming the Kardashians brought disrespect on him and his family by entering his home without his permission, and telling their millions of viewers it had bad 'feng shui'.

Owners Jianxiang Huang and wife Li Weihong, whose home was next door to Kourtney's Calabasas mansion, have sued their property manager who was supposed to look after the house while they were staying in China.

But when Huang returned in August, LA Weekly reports he discovered people had been inside without his knowledge.

According to reports, bowls were stacked differently, salt and pepper had been used and oil was splattered on the kitchen backsplash.

Bills were also reportedly higher than expected, with a gas bill of more than $300 for one month and a similar water bill for another month.

Huang later found out from a neighbour that Kardashian sisters Kourtney and Khloe had filmed an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians there in January, as they searched for a property for Khloe to rent following her split from Lamar Odom.

In the episode, Khloe only adds insult to injury as she comments on the bad feng shui inside.

In the clip from the episode, Kourtney asks her to move next door, saying: "How fun would that be?"

Khloe then responds: "I don't get it, the feng shui here."

Huang and Weihong's attorney said in a statement to the site: "They were shocked that someone had been allowed to apparently set up camp in their new family home.

Obama, looking to mend fences with Congress, is reaching out. To Democrats.

    - December 5, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

President Obama and his closest aides have determined that their best chance of success in the next two years will depend on improved relationships on Capitol Hill, but their behind-the-scenes efforts are more focused on Obamas own party rather than the Republicans who are about to take full charge of Congress in January.

Obamas attention on congressional Democrats, allies whom he once regarded as needing little attention, marks a shift in his view on how to deal with Congress. The president now sees his path to success as running through Hill Democrats, a group that has been disenchanted by the treatment it has received from the White House over the years.

The remedial work has included frequent calls to Democratic leaders since the midterm elections and comes as Republicans prepare to take control of both chambers for the first time since Obama took office. While the president and GOP leaders have pledged to seek common ground, Obamas use of executive action to alter immigration enforcement procedures and other steps have already angered Republicans, making significant legislative accomplishments more difficult.

And White House officials are looking to Hill Democrats as a defense against Republican efforts to undo key elements of Obamas legislative legacy, including the Affordable Care Act, his immigration action and climate policy.

The presidents ability to sustain the vetoes he is likely to issue will depend on whether he is able to mend relations with congressional Democrats many of whom blame the president for the partys large midterm losses and persuade Republican legislators to work with him in a way that has eluded the two parties for the past six years.

On Wednesday, the outreach effort began publicly as Obama hosted Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) who will lead the Senate starting in January in the Oval Office. It was the first time the two have met one on one for an extended period in more than four years. The most recent small gathering they had was with Vice President Biden, nearly 3 1/2 years ago.

McConnell spokesman Don Stewart called the session a good meeting but did not release additional details.

By contrast, House Minority Whip Steny H. Hoyer (D-Md.) has been in near-constant communication with the White House since the midterm elections. He received back-to-back calls from Obama on Nov.24 and 25, the first to discuss the administrations handling of sanctions against Iran amid ongoing negotiations over that nations nuclear program, and the second to confer on the two mens shared opposition to a pending proposal extending a series of federal tax breaks.

In the past couple of months, Ive seen heightened outreach, Hoyer said in an interview Tuesday. To some degree, we become even more relevant than we were before. Now he needs to rely on both houses to sustain a veto.

Those are not the only calls Hoyer has received from the White House recently. Obamas chief of staff, Denis McDonough who paid a visit to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Tuesday called Hoyer on Nov.13 to discuss an effort by lawmakers to force federal approval of the Keystone XL oil pipeline and on Nov.25 to talk about tax policy. The White House legislative-affairs staff also called him Nov.6 to discuss immigration policy, a day after Obama called him at home in the evening to discuss immigration and ongoing efforts to counter the Islamic State.

Green Flag can go well in the Betfred Becher Chase, says trainer Lucinda Russell

    - December 5, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

Lucinda Russell believes Green Flag should go well over the Crabbies Grand National fences in Saturdays record-breaking Betfred Becher Chase at Aintree.

As well as the biggest attendance for the Becher of 42,000 due to Aintrees free ticket giveaway there will be a record field of 25 set to line up in the extended 3m2f Grade Three feature.

Last years 22 runners was the previous biggest field for the Becher since its inception. But last years winner Chance Du Roy, top weight and Scottish Grand National winner Al Co head the bumper field, which includes Russells Green Flag.

The seven-year-old made an encouraging return to action at Carlisle last month, finishing fourth to subsequent Hennessy Gold Cup hero Many Clouds.

He will be having his first taste of the unique National fences at Aintree and is a best-priced 12-1 joint third favourite with most bookmakers behind 10-1 market leader Chance Du Roy.

Russell is hopeful he can go close to victory and said: Green Flag is really well. I was delighted with his comeback at Carlisle over a trip that was too short and obviously the winner has gone on.

The step up in trip will definitely suit him. He has always been a very good jumper and should take to the course as the fences are very horse friendly now. I think he is on a reasonable mark and he has every chance.

Philip Hobbs Chance Du Roy, who also finished sixth on his last start in the Crabbies Grand National, bids to match Hello Bud and land the Becher for a second time. Recent Troytown Handicap Chase winner Balbriggan, from Grand National-winning trainer Gordon Elliotts stable, is one of three Irish raiders and is vying for favouritism and is a best-priced 11-1 with BetVictor.

Fellow Irish raider, the Jim Dreaper-trained Goonyella, is 12-1 with several firms including William Hill, Coral and BetVictor.

2011 Irish Grand National winner Lion Na Bearnai 50-1 with Ladbrokes completes the Irish contingent.
