There are a few things you can count on for pure joy: a laughing baby, a dog in a pile of tennis balls, and now, this plumber, who was caught dancing on the job.

As soon as his colleague heard the EDM coming from the other room, he slowly peeked in to find the plumber groovin away, cigarette clenched firmly in his mouth. He spins, twirls and boogies, but when he realizes hes being taped, he breaks out into adorable laughter. You go, dancing plumber. May you be memed until the end of time.

The Scottish plumber, whose name is Mark Topen, told the Evening Telegraph that he doesnt usually dance on the job because he doesnt want to be disrespectful, but the house was empty, so he went for it.

Ill admit that it was a bit embarrassing at first but I suppose that is what is funny about it and I can see that now, the 52-year-old plumber said. Sometimes the job can be stressful, so its good to take the pressure off if you can.

Oh, and if you had your doubts about dancing plumbers, apparently, its a thing. Thankfully, a real-life plumber took to the comments of the video to confirm that, well, plumbers just need to bust a move sometimes:

As a plumber I can confirm that taking a brief dancing break is one of the best ways to get the circulation going to the extremities after an hour or two of kneeling in some awkward position or other, which is pretty much unavoidable when installing radiators, as this guy was, said YouTube commenter Paul Mackilligin. Its a job which is very hard on the knees, as my orthopaedic surgeon will confirm.

Newswise GAINESVILLE, Fla. --- University of Florida scientists believe theyve found what could be the first biological control strategy against laurel wilt, a disease that threatens the states $54 million-a-year avocado industry.

Red ambrosia beetles bore holes into healthy avocado trees, bringing with them the pathogen that causes laurel wilt. Growers control the beetles that carry and spread laurel wilt by spraying insecticides on the trees, said Daniel Carrillo, an entomology research assistant professor at the Tropical Research and Education Center in Homestead.

But a team of researchers from the Tropical REC and the Indian River Research and Education Center in Fort Pierce have identified a potential biological control to use against redbay ambrosia beetles that could help growers use less insecticide.

First, they exposed beetles to three commercially available fungi, and all of the beetles died. Then they sprayed the fungi on avocado tree trunks, and beetles got infected while boring into the trunk. About 75 percent of those beetles died, said Carrillo, an Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences faculty member.

Ideally, the fungal treatments could prevent beetles from boring into the trees, eliminating the risk that the pathogen would enter the trees, the study said. But tests showed female beetles bored into the trees and built tunnels regardless of the treatment. Still, researchers say their treatment can prevent the female beetles from laying eggs.

UF/IFAS scientists dont know yet how much less chemical spray will be needed to control the redbay ambrosia beetle. But Carrillo sees this study as the first step toward controlling the beetle in a sustainable way.

When you want to manage a pest, you want an integrated pest management approach, Carrillo said. This provides an alternative that we would use in combination with chemical control.

The redbay ambrosia beetle -- native to India, Japan, Myanmar and Taiwan -- was first detected in 2002 in southeast Georgia. It was presumably introduced in wood crates and pallets, and its rapid spread has killed 6,000 avocado trees in Florida, or about 1 percent of the 655,000 commercial trees in Florida. The beetle was first discovered in South Florida in 2010.

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A Charlotte postal worker is recovering after he was attacked by a Mastiff Monday while delivering mail in the Plaza Midwood-area.

The incident happened along the 2800-block of Virginia Avenue.

The mail carrier was talking with someone inside a home in the area when a dog inside attempted to get out of the home, said Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Animal Care and Control.

That's when the dog, a 4-year-old Mastiff, came around the back of the home and attacked the mailman.

The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) says Christian Sparks, an 11-year postal veteran, suffered injuries from the bite and required more than 20 stitches. Sparks was treated at the hospital and later released.

"He will be able to return to work after some much needed rest," postal officials said.

Animal control officials say the Mastiff does not have a previous history of incidents and was up to date with rabies vaccines.

The dog's owner was out of the country when the attack happened, but was able to be contacted as he was coming back through U.S. Customs to get back into the country.

Now that the dog's owner is back, Animal Care and Control says the dog will undergo a ten-day home quarantine as it is monitored for any signs of rabies.
