Grand Forks Police say they may be close to an arrest in connection with a string of home burglaries last week. Half a dozen homes at locations all over town had electronic items stolen. We have more on this case, and what you need to know to keep your property safe this holiday season.

Police say during the latest string of burglaries, the suspect was breaking sliding glass patio doors to gain access to homes. Police say that you and your neighbors need to immediately report suspicious activity in your neighborhood.

A BROTHEL reported to the council and police last month is still operating as an illegal massage service.

Police and Southend Council launched an investigation after the Echo reported the Ab Fab massage service, in London Road, Westcliff, was operating as a brothel.

Residents living near the premises reported a steady stream of men calling at the property and causing disturbances.

Three weeks later, they are still having to put up with antisocial behaviour from men lurking about, knocking on the wrong doors looking for sex.

The council ordered the business to stop operating as a massage parlour as it was unlicensed and, therefore, had not been inspected by officers.

However, it is still advertising its services as English mature lovelies for the discerning gentleman

and still calls itself Ab Fab massage service.

A resident, who asked not to be named, said: Im sorry to say there has been no change.

They continue to work from the premises and we still have a constant stream of men arriving at all hours.

I did receive confirmation from a councillor the premises is not licensed, and Southend Council would not give a licence to such an operation. Why they are allowing it to carry on when it is not licensed is frustrating and rather confusing.

It might be hard to imagine, but dinosaurs roamed the land of New Mexico hundreds of millions ago. Now, paleontologists from all over the world study our landscape to unearth past mysteries.

"New Mexico has one of the world's best fossil records of dinosaurs," said Dr. Spencer Lucas, with the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science.

Dr. Lucas gives people a glimpse into the past, when dinosaurs once roamed the land we walk upon. There are several discoveries on display that were dug up in our own back yard.

"What you will see in this museum that has to do with dinosaurs, is something you will see nowhere else," Dr. Lucas said. "We have a complete up to date exhibit halls devoted to the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous of New Mexico."

The museum is a magnet for visitors, like Stephen Miller from Oregon.

"My wife Winnie and I are in the museum today, and just awing over the dinosaurs," said Miller. "I've never seen anything like this myself."

In New Mexico many people stumble across fossils all the time. If anyone finds a fossil, they are encouraged to report the discovery to the university, state park or a land manager so it can be properly collected.

"Because we have a lot of people try to dig them out themselves, and it really takes some background and experience to do it right," Dr. Lucas said.
