Keanu Reeves was the victim of two home invasions in three days during September.
STORY HIGHLIGHTS
(CNN) -- Keanu Reeves might need to tighten his home security system. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the actor's home was invaded two times in three days.
On September 12, police responded to a burglary call in progress at Reeves' residence around 5 a.m. While nothing was taken from the home, a woman in her 40s was detained and later taken to a medical facility for further evaluation, according to the LAPD.
Reeves was home at the time of the incident.
DA: Stalker spent hour in Sandra Bullock's home
Three days later, a different woman allegedly broke into the actor's home when the gates were left open from construction. Police say they responded to a call that a suspect was trespassing on his property around 10:13 a.m. When officers arrived, the woman seemed to be making herself at home, enjoying Reeves' pool.
That trespasser was found to be "erratic" and was also taken to a medical facility for evaluation. It isn't clear whether Reeves was at home when the second incident occurred.

MEMPHIS, TN -
(WMC) - A new warning about home security is on the rise, and it turns out that a smartphone can possibly be the only key that a criminal may need to get your family's possessions.
A simple snap of the camera can copy the key to a family's home, and there is nothing much that a person can do about it except keep a close watch on where they are placing their keys.
"As a locksmith, it seems a little shady," Triple A Safe and Lock employee Chase Warren said.
You probably do not think about how often your keys are out of sight. Imagine how keys are being handled when they are at the car repair shop or even the car wash.
In fact, the spooky thing is that someone can even take a quick photo while your keys are laying on your office desk. But, in less than a minute, those keys can be copied and your safety compromised.
Cyber locksmiths are a dime a dozen these days thanks to new key duplication apps like, Key Me.
Greg Marsh is the founder of KeyMe, which is an app that allows you to scan images of keys and order duplicates. The camera takes a close up of the front and the back of the key.
"We're basically trying to make it really easy to copy keys and solve lockouts," Marsh said. "And we have developed some amazing technology which can actually extract the geometrical features of your key from that photo."
It only costs a few dollars for the copied key and it can be sent wherever and to whoever wants it.

Both home invasions are still ongoing investigations, and police say no ones been booked for a crime at this point.
A representative for Reeves did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

PRINCETON Jim Cordiano, who served in the Navy from 1967 to 1970 aboard the USS John F. Kennedy doing air traffic control aboard the aircraft carrier, was recently surprised with a gift in honor of his military service.
Now living in Robbinsville with his wife Sandra of 44 years, the 70-year-old veteran said they finally decided to hire a professional to clean the windows, a chore theyd been doing themselves for years.
He said, "We saw an ad for Window Genie and thought why not try them out. While on the phone, Robin (the owner) said they offered 25 percent off to veterans, which we thought was great. It wasnt until it came time for me to pay when she surprised us and told us the cleaning was on her. It blew my mind. I thought she was kidding."
On Thursday, Sept. 11, Robin McKenna, of Belle Mead, and her team at Window Genie of Princeton surprised the local Vietnam War era veteran with a free window cleaning at his home. Ms. McKenna said she and her staff are dedicated to giving back and keeping an active presence in the community because, "it gives us a chance to connect with the people in our hometown."
"I told him we offer discounts to veterans, which we do but since his appointment was on Sept. 11 I felt it was only right to tell him this ones on me," Ms. Mckenna said.
"Im a born and bred Jersey girl and always knew when I opened this business that Id continue finding ways to give back and grow the business through meaningful customer relationships," Ms. McKenna said. "When I learned Jim was a veteran I couldnt wait to surprise his family with a free cleaning. Its the very least we can do to say thank you for his service."
As far as how the cleaning service was, Mr. Cordiano said, "I like the results. Window Genie has a very satisfied customer. The team finished our house in less than three hours...Ive already handed out some business cards to neighbors because I want to help a business that deserves it."
This isnt the first time Window Genie honored a veteran.
"In the spirit of Memorial Day a few months ago, we offered a free cleaning to another local Vietnam War era veteran," Ms. McKenna said. "This customer had Window Genie out to his home to clean some windows on his patio because he was planning a surprise birthday party for his wife. Upon learning about this mans military service, and knowing how special the party was that he was planning for his wife, we were touched. We were happy to tell him thered be no bill this time. We do this to show our gratitude and build a relationship with customers that lets them know we care about them and are truly appreciative of their military service. Were not just a window cleaning business, were here to make a difference in the community whether its by sprucing up someones home or making their day a little brighter with the gift of a free cleaning."
Window Genie is a locally owned and operated home service franchise specializing in window cleaning, window tinting, pressure washing, gutter cleaning and more. Ms. McKenna is the owner and her business serves the central New Jersey areas surrounding greater Princeton as well as Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
