PEORIA, Ariz. -- Some parents in the Valley are deeply concerned about the possibility of mold inside their children's classrooms. And with the chance of more rain on the way, it has added a sense of urgency at Terramar Elementary near Happy Valley and 67th Avenue in Peoria.
Parents said this isn't the first time they've had this issue.
In fact, they said they believe it's a leak in the building that hasn't been fixed for a couple of years. And although the district said there isn't any mold in the building from last weeks storm, some parents said they don't believe it.
"I want to be more reassured that my kids are in a safe environment," said Dex Nolan.
Nolan said she has a 13-year-old and a 10-year-old at Terramar Elementary, but she kept them home from school Monday.
"Partly to make a statement and because I have seen mold there, she said. They can't tell me there's no mold, and that makes me not trust them when they say there isn't mold. I have seen mold."

PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Students at a Peoria elementary school will spend Wednesday and Thursday classes in temporary quarters after concerns of water damage and mold at their school.
Angry parents, teachers and concerned citizens met with Terramar School and Deer Valley Unified School District officials Monday night to voice their concerns about safety in the classrooms.
Parents and teachers said they took air samples from several of the saturated rooms and they tested positive for mold.
District officials, however, said their tests found no mold at the school.
But parents on Tuesday morning received an email from school Principal Sharon Weister and DVUSD Superintendent James Veitenheimer stating that classes would be relocated to Christ's church of the Valley for Wednesday and Thursday.
The school was inundated by the torrential rains of Sept. 8, and leaks soaked drywall, shelving, carpets and books, much of which was covered in mold, parents and teachers said.
"At the conclusion of the meeting, it was determined in the best interest of students, teachers and parents of Terramar, school will be in session at an alternative site," the district said in the letter.
The letter said the students would continue to be relocated while additional testing and remediation is completed.
Two people, a parent and general manager of a company that tests for mold, who spoke at the meeting were invited by the district to conduct their own air quality and mold tests, according to the letter.

CHANDLER, AZ (CBS5) -
Jessica Ford's ceiling caved in with water during last week's powerful storm.
And when a maintenance man opened it up, the single mom said she saw black mold.
Managers with Laguna Village Apartments in Chandler denied there was a problem but now there's proof.
"I'm feeling even more scared than I was before, to know that it was confirmed and that is what it was that's what we've been inhaling for a couple months," Ford said.
CBS 5 News sent a sample of her ceiling sheet rock, provided by Ford, to Southeast Environmental Microbiology Laboratories where it tested positive for stachybotrys, a black mold that canproduce toxic spores.
The discovery is a far cry from what management told Ford last Thursday in a voicemail.
"The drywall has a colored backing on the back of it, and that is what the discolored spots are," said a manager with P.B. Bell, the company that owns Laguna Village. "It's actually not mold, and there's no mold that's been seen."
After sending the SEEML report to P.B. Bell, CBS 5 News asked why Ford was told it wasn't mold.
Through email, marketing director Kira Bell wrote, "The response was based on a preliminary conversation prior to any investigation or professional testing."

BOONE, NC (WBTV) -
Boone Police say a body found off Poplar Grove Road is that of missing Appalachian State University student Anna Marie Smith, the18-year-old freshman who was last seen oncampuson September 2.
Boone Police say aNorth Carolina Drivers License and an Appalachian State UniversityStudent Identification card belonging to Anna Marie Smith were found at the scene.
They also say aletter was found with the body, which "appears to have been authored" by Smith. Police are not releasing the contents of that letter, but say that it will be sent for forensic analysis.
Police say that although they can't release much information about the on-going investigation, they do want to address concerns from the citizens of Boone, as well as students and faculty at the college.
"We intend to work this case as any death investigation," Boone Chief of Police Dana Crawford said. "At this point we do not have direct information that there is foul play. In fact, there are factors to indicate that Ms. Smith was intent on harming herself. I know this is difficult for family and friends to hear, but these are facts."
The body was discovered by a woman and her husband who were out walking Saturday morning.
"My husband and I were out here," the woman told a 911 dispatcher after making the discovery, "We came up the hillside, and we believe we have found the body of Anna Smith."
Investigators tell WBTVSmith's body was discovered just 300 yards from where she was last seen.Students say that is troubling.
"How is she that close to campus and just now she's been found it definitely makes you wonder," said Brian Allen.

- Hillsview Community Church in Damascus celebrates 100 years
In the late 1800s, a group of families with Swedish ancestry arrived in a heavily wooded area known as the Damascus community.
Led by pioneer men named Tillstrom, Schedeen and Gran, they founded and erected a house of worship that became not only the cornerstone of their faith but a comforting and unifying presence in their adopted homeland.
Today, 100 years later, Hillsview Community Church stands as a legacy to its original founders. It has maintained a ministry that feeds the souls of not only its members, but the surrounding community as well.
It has been said that We stand on the shoulders of those who came before us, said Pastor Michael Conrad. The privileges, structure and ministries that we enjoy today are because of those faithful church goers who listened to the call of the Lord. When you are a pastor of a 100-year-old church, you know that you have a responsibility to sustain as well as rejuvenate the ministry that was initiated by those who came before you.
Hillsview is a member of the Evangelical Mission Covenant Church of America, a Christian denomination born from a splinter within the Lutheran Church during the mid-1880s. Swedish immigrants felt the Lutherans were straying from basic teachings of the Bible and founded their own church, the Swedish Mission Friends, in the Midwest in 1885.
The group of Swedish immigrants who arrived in the Damascus area in the late 1880s came from communities where organized church work was common. The fertile lands here may have been favorable to farming, but not so much for travel to neighboring churches for worship services.
They found that the condition of the roads was such that in the winter, the mud sometimes reached the hubs of their buggies, church historical records say. And in the summer, they had to cope with dust. These conditions restricted their visiting other churches, hence they began meeting weekly in various homes in the community.
But the ever-present need for a sanctuary of their own led a group of 22 settlers to form the Mission Church of Damascus in 1914. Among those who penned their names in the churchs original ledger as charter members were pioneers Ernest Schedeen and Viola Tillstrom. Largely credited as the founding father of the church is Olaf Gran, whose descendants are still active participants of the church. Construction on the Mission Church of Damascus began in the summer of 1914. It was built entirely with volunteer labor and on land donated by church member Lewis Rodlun. Dedication services were held Aug. 8, 1915.
