Air Group, serving NJ for over 65 years, provides expert duct cleaning services.

Dirty ducts circulate dirty air! Dirty ducts can also provide a breeding ground for a variety of microbial growth such as mold and bacteria. 50% of all illnesses are either caused or aggravated by polluted indoor air. The possibility of this scenario is increased in homes with pets, smokers and homes that have undergone remodel or home improvement projects.

Even if you have none of these concerns, you may also want to consider duct cleaning when moving into a previously owned home, as the prior home owner may have! Why be left with someone elses dirt?

The EPA claims the air in our homes is up to 70% more polluted than the air outside Lets look at why: Todays modern homes are built tighter for the sake of energy efficiency. Most homeowners choose to forego the cost of proper indoor air quality equipment on their home comfort system; and most rarely (if ever) clean their ductwork, it is no wonder the air in our homes becomes dirty over time.

Interesting fact: Your home comfort system re-circulates the air within your home as many as 50 times a day, each time dragging the air you breathe through your air duct system!

Its easy to see how having your ductwork professionally cleaned will eliminate the built-up dirt in your ventilation system and enhance the overall indoor air quality of your home. Call Air Group for your duct cleaning needs inMorris, Essex, Union, Bergen, Monmouth and Middlesex County and the surrounding NJ areas.

UPDATE: Neighbors Homes Damaged from Water Main Break

    - September 6, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

UDPATE 9/5/14 @ 5:00 p.m. BELLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A few neighbors in Belle were left cleaning up after a water main break poured water into their homes Friday morning.

It's not known just how much water leaked from the water main break in front of 7-Eleven, but West Virginia American Water officials say there was at least four inches of standing water in the parking lot.

The water rushed down an alley and had no where else to go, but into Tony Slack's yard. He says, "We thought it had just really rained hard and then I noticed it was much more than that." He adds, "My house is the low point so all the water went into my property."

Slack says by the time he knew the water main broke, it was almost too late. Electronics stored in his garage were damaged as well as crucial wiring underneath his house. He says he, "went around to the side of my home and noticed everything was submerged in water. The duct work for my air conditioning, my electrical."

He says West Virginia American Water sent crews to clean-up, but it could be a few days before his air conditioning can be turned back on.

This wasn't the first break in the area. "There was another one right there across the street in the banks parking lot and that was two weeks ago," Slack says.

West Virginia American Water officials say the cause is likely due to an old line. The one that ruptured was a ten inch cast iron line.

It took crews the entire afternoon to fix the break. They were forced to dig carefully around gas lines.

During the repair, ten homes were without water, including the Belle Fire Department and 7-Eleven.

Gas station attendants say water did not get into any gas lines and everything was inspected to protocol standards.

Woman dies after frightening Hwy 101/I-680 connector crash

    - September 6, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

    SAN JOSE, Calif.

A passenger was killed in a crash on the connector ramp from U.S. Highway 101 to northbound Interstate Highway 680 in San Jose early Saturday morning when the vehicle collision threw a woman over a retaining wall, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at about 1:50 a.m. and a Sig-alert was issued at 2:20 a.m., signaling the blockage of all lanes on northbound 101 near the connector ramp.

CHP officers received a report of a collision involving two vehicles on the transition ramp.

When officers arrived at the scene there was a green 1999 Honda and a red 2004 Mazda blocking the lanes of traffic, according to the CHP.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of the Honda lost control of the vehicle while transitioning onto northbound I-680 from northbound Highway 101, causing the vehicle to crash into the concrete retaining wall, the CHP said.

Following the collision, both the female driver and the female passenger of the Honda got out of the vehicle.

The driver of a Mazda was traveling on southbound Highway 101 onto northbound I-680 and saw the Honda blocking the lanes of traffic, but was unable to avoid striking the Honda, the CHP said.

The force of the collision caused the female passenger who was standing on the ramp to be thrown over the retaining wall, according to the CHP.

She landed on the King Road off-ramp from I-680 below and was declared deceased at the scene, the CHP officials said.
