A man has been charged with multiple driving and assault offences after allegedly taking police on a chase through the northern suburbs on Tuesday night.
Police attempted to stop a Nissan Patrol travelling west along Beach Road in Mirrabooka about 11.20pm but the driver allegedly refused to stop, police spokeswomans Susan Usher said.
The driver allegedly evaded police through several suburbs before smashing through a gate to a property on Joyce Road, Gnangara.
The Patrol was driven around the home and through paddocks, before returning to the carriageway on Facey Road - allegedly by smashing through an electronic gate. The vehicle then became stuck when the driver allegedly attempted to enter bushland at the end of Facey Road by going through metal gates and rocks.

Salt Lake City, UT /PRNewswire/ - FX Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: FXEN), today announced that drilling is underway at the Karmin-1 well in the Company's Fences license in western Poland. The well is a planned test of a Rotliegend sandstone target at an estimated depth of 2,460 meters. The prospect is located on trend with the Zaniemysl-3 and Roszkow wells, two of the Company's highest producing discoveries.
The Karmin-1 well is the first of three wells in the Fences area that are planned to begin drilling operations prior to the end of 2014. All of these wells are 51% owned and operated by PGNiG.
In addition to the Fences wells, FX Energy also plans to begin drilling two wells in the Company's 100% owned Edge license in western Poland. The Edge license covers approximately 730,000 acres.
About FX Energy FX Energy is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company with production in the U.S. and Poland. FORWARD-LOOKING STATEMENTS This report contains forward-looking statements. Forward-looking statements are not guarantees. For example, exploration, drilling, development, construction, or other projects or operations may be subject to the successful completion of technical work; environmental, governmental or partner approvals; equipment availability; or other things that are or may be beyond the control of the Company. Operations that are anticipated, planned, or scheduled may be changed, delayed, take longer than expected, fail to accomplish intended results, or not take place at all.
In carrying out exploration, it is necessary to identify and evaluate risks and potential rewards. This identification and evaluation is informed by science but remains inherently uncertain. Subsurface features that appear to be possible traps may not exist at all, may be smaller than interpreted, may not contain hydrocarbons, may not contain the quantity or quality estimated, or may have reservoir conditions that do not allow adequate recovery to render a discovery commercial or profitable. Forward-looking statements about the size, potential, or likelihood of discovery respecting exploration targets are certainly not guarantees of discovery, the actual presence or recoverability of hydrocarbons, or the ability to produce in commercial or profitable quantities. Estimates of potential typically do not take into account all the risks of drilling and completion nor do they take into account the fact that hydrocarbon volumes are never 100% recoverable. Such estimates are part of the complex process of trying to measure and evaluate risk and reward in an uncertain industry.
Forward-looking statements are subject to risks and uncertainties outside FX Energy's control. Actual events or results may differ materially from the forward-looking statements. For a discussion of additional contingencies and uncertainties to which information respecting future events is subject, see FX Energy's SEC reports or visit FX Energy's website at http://www.fxenergy.com.

Australian media widely reported that the 56-year-old electrician was convicted for sexually molesting three girls.
PERTH: Australian authorities were today investigating the father at the centre of a Thai surrogate baby scandal who was exposed as a convicted paedophile, to determine whether his young daughter is at risk.
The man, from Bunbury south of Perth, sparked global controversy for apparently abandoning his Downs syndrome baby boy, Gammy, in Thailand and taking only his healthy twin sister back home, although he and his wife dispute the circumstances.
In another twist to a story that has generated fierce debate on the moral and legal grounding of international surrogacy, reports emerged yesterday that the man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has convictions for child sex offences.
Australian media widely reported that the 56-year-old electrician was convicted for sexually molesting three girls.
State broadcaster ABC said he was jailed for three years for molesting two girls under the age of 10 when he was in his 20s. He was also accused in 1997 of another six charges of indecently dealing with a child and reportedly imprisoned for 18 months.
Authorities in Western Australia said they attempted to contact the couple at their home on Tuesday but with a media scrum gathered outside, no one answered the door.
Western Australia Department for Child Protection spokesman Darren OMalley confirmed to AFP that an investigation had been launched and said another attempt to speak with the parents would be made Wednesday.
A full investigation is being conducted into the safety and welfare of the child involved, he said.
We will talk to the people concerned and information will also be gathered from the police and other family members.

OSKALOOSA The Oskaloosa City Council approved the South 11th Street Pavement Rehabilitation Project at it meeting Monday night.
The project encompasses milling the existing pavement, asphalt overlay, concrete pavement reconstruction, full-depth and partial-depth patching, repair of concrete curb and gutter, new ADA-accessible sidewalk ramp reconstruction, sidewalk and driveway replacement, storm sewer intake rebuilds and alley approach, according to Oskaloosa city documents.
The project includes construction along South 11th Street from A Avenue East to 15th Avenue East. The engineers estimated cost is $732,875, according to city documents.
Mayor Dave Krutzfeldt said city officials read two bids received on July 30. Norris Asphalt and Paving Co. submitted the low bid at $696,087 5 percent below the engineers estimate.
City staff recommended adding a 10 percent construction contingency $69,600 for unforeseen circumstances.
The City Council approved the bid with a 5-0 vote. Council members Doug Yates and Jason Van Zetten were absent.
The South 11th Street project got the green light for construction after the City Council decided to delay the proposed Third Avenue East reconstruction project because of a lack of adequate bids, according to city documents.
The South 11 Street project will begin in late August or early September and is anticipated to take 60 working days to complete. Work may be suspended for the winter. In that case, work would begin again next spring, Krutzfeldt said.
