PATERSON, N.J., July 14 (UPI) --A man who came to a New Jersey courthouse for a hearing carrying 57 glassine envelopes of heroin faces a list of new charges, police said.
Carlos Urena, 22, of Paterson was arrested Friday afternoon. Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik said Urena was searched when he refused to take his hand out of his pocket.
Urena was charged with three counts of heroin possession, including possession with intent to distribute and with intent to distribute near a public building. He is also charged with resisting arrest for struggling with court officers.
"The moral to the story is don't try to bring 5 plus decks of heroin into the court complex and then resist arrest," Berdnik said. "The sheriff's officers at the courthouse have the mission of protecting the public and making sure no illegal activity occurs in the complex."

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A crook has been caught on camera in Huntington. He's stealing packages from front porches.
Now, people in the neighborhood are on alert, as the brazen burglar goes door-to-door.
Neighbors said they've seen him before. In fact, one of them followed the man down the street and snapped a few more photos as he targeted other homes.
The video is astonishingly clear.
"I'm sure it's happened to other people," said Christina Bailey.
Police said a man is walking around 12th Avenue and Huntington's South Side, on the hunt for your packages.
He was caught on surveillance video last week.
"That really made me nervous because he cut right through my yard, and I don't like the fact that someone so close had something stolen," Bailey said.
Rightfully so, Bailey lives just feet from the home in the surveillance video.
"I'm a stay-at-home mom, so I'm home during the day most of the time, and if we're going to have a package delivered, I make sure to keep an ear out for it," Bailey said.
