Richard Graham has promised a no-holds-barred autopsy at the end of Queensland's Super Rugby campaign, which comes to a potentially grisly end against the flying Waratahs at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night.
It has been a year of humbling and bumbling for the Reds after a grand final win in 2011, followed by two seasons of finals football. This time, the Waratahs have a home semi in the can, while the Reds will be free to book tee times after just five victories to date.
There will be a player exodus as the Reds make room for James O'Connor and potentially Karmichael Hunt, who would add significant firepower to a backline that already features young prospects Chris F'Sautia (injured) and newcomer Samu Kerevi.

But the prospect of a brighter 2015 can't paper over the cracks of a season that sunk deeper in Perth when the Reds had all the momentum but couldn't get over the top of the Force, who keep their finals hopes in tact going into the final round.

Sub-par defence and an alarming lack of execution in attack have been the hallmarks of Queensland's campaign, a stark contrast to the glittering rugby that was played by many members of the same squad just a few seasons ago.
Regardless of the result against the resurgent Waratahs, Graham said there would be no pulling punches when the curtain came down, saying everyone would face a forensic assessment of their role in the side, from the coaching staff down.
"I think part of the review is to make sure you're better going forward. You can be honest, move forward and look to get things right, or you can go the other way and continue to drift. That process will be honest and thorough," Graham said.

The posted speed limit along Seger Drive may suggest 45 mph, but actually traversing the gully-laden, patchwork of concrete in northeast Rapid City at such a speed is only for the brave and perhaps foolish.
"You may as well be driving across a field," 68-year-old Connie VanCamp, who lives at the Country Village mobile home park off Seger Drive, said last week. "It ruins our cars. Our suspensions are shot."
But a reprieve is in sightfor those wary of the road and its debilitating effects on their vehicles. The city is seeking bids for an estimated $6.85 million rebuild of Seger Drive between 143rd and Dyess avenues and hopes to have the project underway this fall.
Once completed, Seger Drive will have three lanes for traffic, a new curb and gutter, a 10-foot bike path on the north side of the road and street lights.
Public Works Director Terry Wolterstorff said the city has acquired enough right-of-way to construct a five-lane street but plans for such an expansion remain well into the future.
"We're going to be set up for all of that land to be developed and redeveloped," Wolterstorff said. "I wouldn't expect to see five lanes up there for a long, long time. The three lanes are going to be more than sufficient."
The rebuild was scheduled to start last year but the project stalled due to problems with acquiring land for public right-of-way to accommodate the reconstruction.
But higher-than-expected bids may throw another wrench in the works and stall the project yet again.
"Our other projects have been a little higher than we estimated, early on this spring," Wolterstorff said. "We will make the adjustments we need to make."
The rebuild will also install city water and sewer lines to the area, which is largely cluttered with junk yards aside from two trailer parks that rely on well water and sewage ponds.

LAC-MGANTIC Hundreds gathered in Lac-Mgantic on Sunday for a memorial mass to remember the 47 who died in a railway accident here last year.
As wind blew dust clouds past the church and through the construction site that has replaced the destroyed downtown here, firefighters, paramedics and police who responded to the explosion last year marched inside.
You have given us a beautiful message of dignity and strength. Yes, there have been tears and great suffering but at the same time there has been overwhelming generosity and love, Sherbrooke diocese archbishop Luc Cyr said, addressing the crowd inside the Ste-Agns church.
Amidst this individual and community destruction, there is a reconstruction to undergo, for the town and for us as individuals, Cyr said.
To each and every one of you: I urge you to keep your hope and faith. We will rebuild our town more beautiful than ever, Lac-Mgantic mayor Colette Roy-Laroche said after the mass.
Before the service, the town unveiled outside the church a monument to the victims a book carved in granite, inscribed with the names of the dead.
At the altar during the service, Cyr blessed Marie-Jose Rodrigue and Louis-Charles Lacroix and their six-month-old son Elliot. Lacroix and Rodrigue, who was pregnant with Elliot last July, narrowly escaped the accident.
We will never forget the victims, whose names are engraved in stone, but, at the same time, we know that life will triumph again in Lac-Mgantic, Quebec premier Philippe Couillard said, speaking before the crowd gathered outside the church.
The events of July 6, 2013, in Lac-Mgantic touched all Canadians deeply and no passage of time can erase from our consciousness the lives lost, the injured and the families torn apart by this tragedy, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said in a statement on Sunday. On this sombre anniversary, let us pay tribute to their resilience, determination and extraordinary strength of character.
Governor General David Johnston, who attended a memorial mass held in the town shortly after the explosion last year, also spoke briefly after the mass on Sunday.
