Mumbai, June 17:
The demolition of illegal flats in Campa Cola compound beginning June 20 will be filmed and used as proof against the residents if they offer resistance, the citys municipal body said today.
We will be video-recording the entire demolition process, which we will carry out from June 20, so that it can be used as proof against residents in the Supreme Court if they stop us from performing our duties, Mohan Adtani, additional municipal commissioner, told PTI.
At the first stage of eviction, the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) will cut off electricity, water and gas supplies to the illegally built flats. Internal walls of the flats would be pulled down in the second phase before finally demolishing the balconies.
Adtani said the demolition process was slated to start today but was deferred on humanitarian grounds following the death of two residents.
We had planned to start the demolition drive from June 17, but we have now given the residents 3 more days to vacate the flats after the death of two residents. We will now start the demolition from June 20, he said.
The families of the deceased residents would be given extra time so that they can complete the last rituals, he said.
Campa Colas first resident, Vinod Kothari (82), died on June 15 after a heart attack while 83-year-old Chakravarti Chawla, a refugee from Pakistan, who had been hospitalised after suffering from kidney failure, expired on June 8.
Meanwhile, residents of Campa Cola said MCGM should extend their humanitarian gesture to other residents as well.
It is heartening to know that the MCGM has some humanity left in them. We sincerely hope that this humanitarian gesture gets extended to other residents as well. We, as citizens, expect the MCGM to take a humane approach to this issue, Ankit Garg, a resident said.

The Arlington County Board has officially allowed a developer to raze the parking garage in Rosslyn, Va., where FBI official Mark Felt - known at the time as "Deep Throat" - met reporter Bob Woodward to relay information on the Watergate scandal.
The vote of the five-member board took place Saturday and was unanimous. The parking garage and office buildings at 1401 Wilson Blvd. will be replaced with a 28-story residential building and a 24-story commercial building with retail shops.

Despite the garage's storied history, the board members are enthusiastic about the new project.
"What's not to like?" County Board Chairman Jay Fisette, a Democrat, asked, according to the Washington Post. She noted it will bring residents, a grocery store, a park and other community benefits to the area, including $8 million for affordable housing.
Woodward's 2005 book, "The Story of Watergate's Deep Throat," revealed the location of the garage where Woodward and Felt conducted their clandestine late-night meetings. The information provided by Felt and the subsequent coverage of the Watergate scandal eventually led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon in 1974.
In 2011, Arlington County placed a marker outside the garage that the developer and county board intend to keep, several media outlets reported. The landowner has also promised to create a memorial to the events that took place there.
"We obviously view the whole Watergate situation as a significant event in the history of our country," Monday Properties Chief Development Officer Tim Helmig told ARLNow.com last August. "It would be our hope that we preserve that plaque and incorporate it in our redevelopment."

The Wilmington City Council has ordered that a house at 719 Nun St. must be repaired or it faces demolition.
The boarded-up house is at the corner of South Eighth and Nun streets across from the city's Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center.
On Tuesday, the council unanimously voted to authorize demolition of the property because it runs afoul of the city's minimum housing code.
Chief Code Enforcement Officer Williane Carr told council members illegal dumping is a constant problem on the property and that the city has cleaned it 12 times since 2006. The owner is elderly and lives in another state, she said.
If the city tears down the house, the cost will be placed as a lien attached to the property.

Winner of "Best Home Technology Product" at the 2014 NAHB International Builders Show, trutankless is quickly becoming a household name in the homebuilding industry
PHOENIX As popularity grows among homebuilders and homeowners alike, Bollente Companies, Inc. (OTCQB: BOLC), will showcase its smart trutankless electric tankless water heater line at the PCBC Homebuilding Show June 25 through 26, 2014 in San Francisco (booth #N-6634).
Featuring patent-pending Velix heating technology, the powerfully compact trutankless unit delivers endless hot water to an entire home year after year, without the scale and mineral buildup that plagues most tank and tankless heaters. Designed with long-term reliability in mind, trutankless is built to last 20 years or more and operates at nearly 100% energy efficiency. It's also packed with tech innovations, including its own smart-home compatible app (iOS/AOS) that sends notifications to homeowners and service professionals if a warranty or service appointment is needed.
Since its launch this February, trutankless has taken the homebuilding industry by storm, winning the 2014 NAHB International Builders Show's "Best Home Technology Product" and becoming the standard water heater in a number of new communities, including developments from Bela Flor Communities, luxury home builder Cullum Homes, and custom home builder AB Contracting.
"We've been extremely impressed with the quality engineering and innovation in the trutankless product line," said Rod Cullum, founder of Scottsdale-based Cullum Homes. "We've always felt tankless water heaters are where the industry is headed, but we'd been waiting for a truly reliable whole-home electric tankless product to hit the market. When we discovered trutankless, we knew this was the water heater we wanted for our communities. It's easy to install, and unlike gas units, it can go just about anywhere. We now have a unit on display in our showroom, and our homebuyers love the tech-forward features."
"trutankless is the perfect solution for our multifamily projects," said Allen Bell, president of AB Contracting, a regional leader in the development of single and multifamily communities based in West Virginia. "The small footprint of this product saves a significant amount space, and that's a huge selling point in our multifamily communities where storage is always at a premium. Our customers love the idea of having a water heater that never runs out of hot water -- that's a new concept for a lot of families. Another big selling point is the efficiency of trutankless, which saves the homeowner thousands of dollars in energy bills over the years. Our company has always placed a heavy emphasis on green initiatives and energy efficiency, so to me, trutankless is the way to go. We've made it the standard water heater in the newest phase of Eagle View, our 500-unit community, and we plan to make it standard in our future projects, too."
Bollente Companies will exhibit the trutankless residential line to builders, designers and architects at the PCBC Homebuilders Show, a high caliber conference that has been attracting prominent industry professionals since 1959.
"We're excited to bring trutankless to PCBC this year and demonstrate just how powerful and hassle-free the product is-- for the builder, the service professional, and the homeowner," said Michael Stebbins, president of trutankless. "No other water heater on the market has the ability to shut itself down if there's a leak, notify the homeowner and service professional in the event of a service disruption, or proactively schedule a service call."
About trutankless: Packed with patent-pending proprietary technology, trutankless is engineered to outperform and outlast both its tank and tankless predecessors in energy efficiency, output, and durability. Not only does it provide endless hot water on demand for a whole household, it also integrates with home automation systems and has its own app (iOS/AOS), which allows homeowners to control water temperature to within one degree, obtain service notifications, and monitor usage from their mobile devices. Because hot water is such an intimate and essential part of daily life, this is a highly meaningful new "Internet of Things" player in the arena of smart home tech.
About the Company: Founded in 2010, trutankless, a division of Bollente Companies, Inc. (OTCQB: BOLC), was brought to life through the combined insight, ingenuity, and drive of industry professionals, engineers, and entrepreneurs. The objective was to create a line of electric tankless water heaters that far surpasses traditional tank water heaters in energy efficiency, output, dependability and environmental sustainability while overcoming the frustrating drawbacks of other tankless units on the market today.

June 16, 2014 - Provolt ODC series includes occupancy sensor models that includes line voltage occupancy sensing, daylight harvesting, and manual-ON/auto-OFF override control in single one unit; no special control stations are required. Available in passive IR, ultrasonic, and multi-technology versions, products include single- and dual-relay versions with mid-range, high-density, and extended range lenses. All models feature auto-adapting technology to optimize reliability and prevent false triggering. LEVITON 201 North Service Rd. Melville, NY, 11747 USA Press release date: June 9, 2014
New family of occupancy and vacancy sensors offers robust performance, industry-exclusive features and contractor-friendly integrated design
MELVILLE, N.Y. -- Leviton today announced the introduction of its Provolt ODC family of line-voltage occupancy and vacancy sensors. The new sensors simplify energy management with an easy to install self-contained solution. Provolt occupancy sensor models include line voltage occupancy sensing, daylight harvesting and manual-ON/auto-OFF override control in a single unit with no special control stations required.
The integrated design eliminates separate power pack and sensor wiring for additional savings in labor, time and material. Available in passive infrared, ultrasonic and multi-technology versions, the new line features both single and dual relay versions with mid-range, high-density and extended range lenses included with select models.
"We engineered the Provolt ODC family of line-voltage sensors to provide robust performance and reliability, optimal energy-savings and compliance with the most rigorous testing standards," said Richard Westfall, vice president and general manager, Leviton Lighting & Energy Solutions. "Many industry-leading Leviton exclusive features are built-in to ensure reliability, safety and ease of installation. The innovative integrated design is installer-friendly, reducing labor and commissioning time. The occupancy sensor line's built-in photocell enables true daylight harvesting capabilities to secure even greater energy savings."
Provolt occupancy sensor models switch connected loads ON when occupancy is detected and automatically switch them OFF after a predetermined time interval after the space is vacated. Vacancy sensor versions require connected loads to be switched ON manually and automatically turn them OFF when occupancy is no longer detected.
All models feature Leviton's auto-adapting technology which continually adjusts to occupancy patterns to deliver optimal performance reliability and false triggering prevention. To further enhance energy savings, Provolt occupancy sensor models feature true daylight harvesting (both open and closed loop) through an integrated photocell that automatically activates or deactivates connected loads (e.g., lighting, fans, HVAC, etc.) in conjunction with the presence or absence of natural light. In instances of power failure, an automatic time-delay with auto-save feature returns the time-out setting to the last saved level once power is restored.
The Provolt ODC's contractor-friendly, compact, one-piece design significantly reduces installation time over low-voltage sensors that require a separate power pack to supply voltage to the unit. An industry-exclusive self-detecting, configurable manual switch input (for both momentary and maintained contacts), terminal blocks and screw guides on the sensors significantly speed installation and setup.
The new sensors feature robust performance for all load types and a mechanically-held 10 Amp latching relay that delivers power savings beyond electrically-held relay designs. All Provolt ODC sensor models feature Leviton's industry-leading fail-safe circuitry. The circuitry returns the sensors' electronics to a "closed" position to maximize safety once power is restored after an electrical outage. Another Leviton exclusive - high inrush stability (HIS) circuitry - accommodates a variety of high inrush electronic ballast loads. Factory calibrated zero-crossing circuitry on the sensors extend their relay life.
Provolt sensors are ideal for installation in tight ceiling spaces with limited access for low-voltage wiring, new construction projects aimed at energy conservation and retrofit environments requiring compliance with the latest energy mandates. The Provolt ODC line of sensors is listed to UL 773A and UL 924. They are CE Compliant, cUL Listed, RoHS Compliant, NOM Certified, CA Title 20/24 Compliant and backed by Leviton's Limited 5-Year Warranty.
