David Thompson in interiors store Cool Calm & Collected'
AN INTERIOR design shop in Barnstaple is the latest business to sign up to a scheme which gives discounts to people who shop locally.
Former Titanic film set designer David Thompson runs Cool Calm Collected with his partner Andrew Short.
David said he was happy to have joined the Bliss scheme in association with the Journal which rewards people who regularly buy from independent shops.
David said Cool Calm Collected, which offers lamps, mirrors and other home products, is a very nice, interior-led shop.
He said the products in the shop were very much guided by his own taste, modern English country house.
He said: We try to bring things to the shop which arent easy to find in this part of the world.
David said people in North Devon could do more to support independent businesses.
Barnstaple is a nice, interesting town, he said.
People need to support independent businesses or there wont be any.
