GTA 5 Spring Release Confirmed
Rockstar has officially confirmed that GTA 5 is expected to launch worldwide in Spring 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Amid a flurry of rumors over the weekend, a few promotional images were leaked by a Polish Grand Theft Auto website. These images featured art similar to the recently released "Pest Control" image and looked to be pre-order inserts to be displayed on store shelves. Many had already expected a release window of sometime around April or May--included Gaming Illustrated. It was hard to deny the authenticity of these images not only because one featured the "Pest Control" image ("Spring 2013" stamped right at the bottom) but because the artwork on the other three were of a similar style. The first promo image features a blonde woman wearing sunglasses and a hat being handcuffed by a female police officer. The second image features a man sitting on a 44 ATV holding what looks to be a sniper rifle. A third image featured a man standing near a liquor store with a baseball bat in one hand and the other gripped tightly around a chain mdash;which was the leash for a dog. The leaked images were then seemingly confirmed as legitimate because UK retailer GAME tweeted the leaked pictures saying, "Pre order now!!!" Though the tweet was taken down soon after, it wasn #39;t long before Rockstar confirmed the obvious. With a post on their website and some new promotional art (above), Rockstar confirmed the Spring 2013 release of GTA 5.
