An employee at a pest-control business was arrested Wednesday after an investigation determined jewelry from customers houses was being pawned at area shops, according to the Clay County Sheriffs Office.

James Michael Forys, 33, was arrested Wednesday on charges of grand theft, dealing in stolen property and false verification to a second-hand dealer, according to arrest reports.

The arrest warrant was obtained after customers complained jewelry was stolen from their houses after Florida Pest Control performed services at their homes, according to the Sheriffs Office.

Several rings were pawned over the past few months, but there could be more stolen jewelry that hasnt been reported, according to the Sheriffs Office.

Anyone who has had an employee from Florida Pest Control in their home is encouraged to take inventory of their valuables and check which service technician worked, the Sheriffs Office said.
