WHO Wants To Be a Millionaire contestant Bryan Sellars missed out on a 50,000 question despite giving the right answer to host Chris Tarrant.

The 44-year-old was asked which county the Bakewell Tart came from and was given the options of Cheshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire, and Warwickshire.

He guessed correctly Derbyshire and had already given his answer without needing to use the last of his lifelines.

But when Chris Tarrant demanded Are you sure? Bryans certainty began to crack.

As the studio audience including wife Joanne held its breath, he was asked if he wanted to phone a friend.

He opted to ring his cousin Martin Sellars, 43, of Morley, Leeds regarded as the geography buff of the family and he agreed with Bryans answer.

But with seconds to go before the video link was severed Martin started to have doubts and said: I wish you hadnt mentioned Cheshire.

This put Mr Sellars, of Hawthorn Road, Selby, in the hot seat. If he gave the wrong answer he stood to forfeit 19,000 of his winnings, meaning he would go home with only 1,000.
