SPOKANE, Wash.Frigid weather is taking a toll on homeowners and plumbers in Spokane. Plumbers were busy the whole first full weekend in December fixing frozen pipes.

One plumber said he received 75 calls on Saturday alone. He said he also got dozens of calls on Sunday.

"The phones have been ringing off the hook, said plumber Mac Daly.

Homeowners at Cascade Mobile Home Park in Spokane are only a few of the people calling Daly to turn on the heat.

"There's been 3 or 4 hours that people have to wait at least from the time they call until someone can be out there, said Daly.

Daly said he has been from home to home all across Spokane County. He said most people call because their pipes are frozen or already froze and broke.
