Steals packages and rams police cars
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- One suspect has been charged, and two others remain in custody, after police say the trio was caught stealing packages from front porches in south St. Louis. Cortez Roundtree, 22, Christopher Browning, 23, and Sunshine Moore, 24, were taken into custody in connection to the thefts. Browning was charged Friday with two counts of misdemeanor theft and one count of felony resisting. He is being held on a $15000 cash-only bond. On Thursday, witnesses in the 4100 block of Alma Avenue called police to report three people taking packages from people #39;s homes. Witnesses told police the men were driving a blue or green Mitsubishi Gallant. Later, police received more calls about men stealing packages in the 3800 block of Humphrey Street in a vehicle matching the earlier description. Police say officers patrolling the area saw the same vehicle in the 3800 block of Utah. After the vehicle pulled to the curb, the driver reportedly jumped out and began looking around nearby homes. The driver reportedly then got back into the vehicle and began driving away. As officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the suspects sped up and rammed two police cruisers, nearly hitting an officer. The suspects later crashed near the intersection of Cherokee and Louisiana. Two suspects were arrested at the scene of the crash. The other suspect fled, but was apprehended a short time later.
