Victorian Homes of San Francisco.
As you might suspect by now, I have a great interest in architecture. San Francisco is known for having one of the most extensive collections of Victorian homes. Many have been renovated on the inside to update kitchens, bathrooms, etc and to bring them up to code but the exteriors have remained the same as when they built after the 1906 earthquake. The Victorians were very fond of #39;gingerbread #39; and these homes are great examples of that #39;gingerbread #39;. You #39;ll see cornices galore, lots of decorations, fancy porches, beautiful paint jobs, etc. A picture or two may not be from San Francisco. I made this slide show some 10 years ago and may have included a picture or two from elsewhere. Sowwy about that. If you enjoy this slide show, please take time to give it a #39;thumbs up #39; or leave a comment. That is the way I learn! I do not own the copyright to either the music or the photos used in this show although most of the pictures were scanned by me from books in my library. Thanks for watching!
