Aging In Place Kitchen Master Bath Addition, Laundry Room Guest Bathroom Remodel The homeowner wanted to remodel the main hall bathroom to make it wheelchair accessible; unfortunately, the constraints of the existing rooms prevented it. However, Kraft Custom Construction mentioned that there was ample space in the backyard to add a master bathroom onto the home. After some careful consideration and review with their adult children, the homeowners decided to build an addition which included the fully accessible master bathroom and an expanded and updated kitchen. The home had not been remodeled in the 50 years since it had been built. The kitchen was expanded for accessibility and growing family gatherings, bringing in lots of light and the beautiful view of the back yard. The master bathroom is wide enough for a wheel chair and features a "zero-barrier entry" and glass door that opens in and out. KCC remodeled the previous kitchen area into a spacious and functional laundry room. Everything the homeowner needs is all on one level of the home, and is completely accessible for years to come. The homeowner asked Kraft Custom Construction back to work on a subsequent project -- remodeling and expanding the downstairs guest bathroom. Frequent family visits warranted the remodel, which now gives families flexibility with an additional sink and vanity just outside the full 3-piece bathroom.
