The third annual Lake-Sumter New Home & Remodeling Expo is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Leesburg National Guard Armory, 400 W. Meadow St.

The free event will feature the latest in home construction, home maintenance and housing trends. More than 50 booths will include various businesses.

Other activities will include live radio broadcasts, seminars, food concessions, door prizes and the Leesburg High School Swing Band will perform throughout the day.

Shane Matthews, former quarterback who led University of Florida to its first Southeastern Conference championship in 1991, will have a meet and greet from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Jonathan Squires, also known as "The Barefoot Gardener," will present a landscape seminar at 10 a.m. and noon.

The expo is hosted by Ro-Mac Lumber & Supply, Inc.

Fish and Fun Day

The Lake County Sheriff's Office will host its second annual Fish and Fun Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Hickory Point Recreational Complex, 27341 State Road 19, Tavares.

Events will include a bass tournament, Jeep display, bounce house, games, rock climbing, raffles and more.
