Private Plane Crash Caught On Cam in Brazil
The terrifying moment a plane skidded off the runway and through a retaining wall right next to a busy highway has been caught on camera. The crash occurred on Sunday at Congonhas Airport in Sao Paolo, Brazil. According to the Herald Sun, the captain suffered serious injuries in the crash, but his two passengers escaped unharmed. The twin-engine Cessna 525B Citation corporate jet failed to brake after landing on the runway at around 5pm. The passengers were able to evacuate the wreckage before rescue services arrived on the scene and hosed it down. Congonhas Airport is rather infamous, with some questioning its safety, considering its proximity (five miles) from the city centre. It even features in popular mechanic.com #39;s World #39;s 18 Strangest Airports list. The feature highlights the airport #39;s safety risks and challenges to pilots, reading: "While having an airport only 5 miles from the city centre may be a convenience for commuters, it places a strain on both pilots and air traffic control crews. "It becomes a challenge in terms of safety to just get the plane in there. Then you throw on noise restrictions and these terribly awkward arrival and departure routes that are needed to minimise your noise-print and it becomes quite challenging for pilots."From:AmericanNewsMediaViews:0 0ratingsTime:01:03More inNews Politics
