Carriage West Homes - East 41 Torch On Roofing Educational Video
This video gives a quick glimpse into how a torch-on roof is installed. This roofing system uses a special torch-on membrane that is delivered in the form of rolls to the application site, is heated to high temperatures using a propane torch and slowly rolled onto the roof plywood - making sure there are no creases or bubbles. The first layer is a heavy felt material that is secured on to the plywood using cap nails. The next two layers don #39;t use nails. This system is used for flat or low-sloping roofs with zero - 2/12 roof pitch. Because this roofing application requires a high temperature blow torch, it is potentially dangerous and requires extreme care and safety during installation.
