KPOST Company, industry-leading commercial roofing company in Dallas, announced that president Steve Little is the president of the Midwest Roofing Contractors Association (MRCA). MRCA is a regional association supporting 22 states and dedicated to the needs of the contractor through various programs.

KPOST Company has been a long-standing member of MRCA primarily due to the alignment of values between the organizations.

Hard work, integrity and helping your fellow man really reflect our values and the values of MRCA, said Steve Little. It provides our KPOST team members the opportunity to learn best business practices from contractors in our region in a safe, less competitive environment which is more conducive to open dialog.

When we can come together and work to professionalize, improve the processes and build best practices, it builds a stronger industry overall, said Louise Ristau, Executive Director for MRCA. There is strength in numbers that affords us the ability to tackle issues that need to be addressed as a group. Having organizations like KPOST dedicated to the causes of an association provide the backbone and growth potential for the MRCA."

Little and Ristau believe that one of the many challenges for roofing contractors in 2014 is the development of strong safety programs. By utilizing MRCAs SHARP Toolbox, MRCA members can create or supplement their own safety programs. In addition, the monthly talks and documentation are translated into Spanish for wider distribution.

Another focus for MRCA is to build leaders by developing programs for younger generations.

Steve Little helped organize our Young Contractor Council (YCC) that is helping shape our association for years to come while bridging the gap between the baby boomer generation roofing contractors and todays Gen X and Millenials up and coming leaders, said Ristau.

It is an honor to be part of MRCAs board. I look forward to continuing strong programming in 2014 so we can serve the roofing contractor community, said Little.
