The first burglaries are thought to have happened between 6am on Monday and 6am on Tuesday when sheds on allotments at Water Lane were targeted.

One shed had its door removed and an old laptop computer with no battery and camping stoves were among the items stolen.

A second shed was broken into with a pair of blue and yellow builders gloves being stolen.

Then between 6.30pm on Tuesday and 6.45am on Wednesday, someone broke into a shed on allotments at St Margarets Road and stole two bantam hens one black with a white streak on her head, the other a caramel colour.

Anyone with information should call PC Gary Brown or PC Graham Baker at Lowestoft police station on 101.
