Along with the wait for the installation of WiFi routers in Metro Manila's waiting sheds is the public's worry that these might attract criminal elements, especially at night.

Manila City Council IT Division Head Don Quintos said they will address security concerns along with the improvement of the waiting sheds.

We should not worry about these things because we'll definitely address them, he told GMA News Online in a phone interview.

Two CCTV cameras will be installed in each of the 14 waiting sheds around Manila. These will not completely deter thieves and robbers, but the video will be useful tools in police investigations.

We are also planning to increase police visibility in the area, he said. At the end of the month, an elite traffic force will be deployed.
