The WCR Scarborough Spa Express, final evening circuit 30.08.2012 - Part 2 (skirting Leeds)
On the last SSE operation of 2012, Stanier #39;Black Five #39; 45305 Alderman AE Draper is seen pulling away from Whitehall Jcn just outside Leeds station. The tracks on the right are from Huddersfield and the old Leeds Central route would have been to the left. Having just arrived on the line from Wakefield she leaves the queue and passes the southern approaches to the station, curving away right, towards the site of Holbeck sheds. The clips then show the train passing Stourton freight yard, setting down at Woodlesford and finally passing Methly Jcn. (As the Sun goes down look out for the signal lights beaming down the length of the train which will show up even more in part 3.)
