Monterey Tree removal will delay traffic

Four diseased pine trees will be removed along southbound Highway 1 between Aguajito Road and the Holman Highway/Highway 1 separation from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

The southbound right lane will be closed, and traffic delays of up to 30 minutes are expected. Drivers should plan accordingly.

City Councilman Frank O'Connell will host a town hall meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, in the Community Room of the Marina Library, 190 Seaside Circle.

Representatives of Restorative Justice in the Schools will be making a presentation, with a question and answer session to follow.

Volunteers are invited to help clean up trash and debris between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Upper Carr Lake, on East Laurel Drive between Constitution Boulevard and Sanborn Road.

Tools, water and snacks will be provided. The cleanup will be postponed if it's raining on the day of the event.
