Amish Backyard Structures From Sheds Unlimited INC Reach New Limits With New Lowboy Shed Trailer - January 1, 2013 by Mr HomeBuilder

When Sheds Unlimited INC added new backyard Amish structures to their line of products, they were higher than the norm. Manager Stephen Stoltzfus Jr. designed a brand new delivery trailer to move the fancy Amish Structures to homeowners in PA, NJ, NY, CT, DE, MD, VA, WV and beyond.

Lancaster, PA (PRWEB) December 31, 2012

It used to be that trailers for delivering Amish Structures built in Pennsylvania were designed for a shed around ten to eleven feet tall. Trailers were often built with the front on top of the truck bed and slanted from there to allow for low sheds on the front and taller structures on the back of the trailer. In 2010 Sheds Unlimited designed a new trailer that made it possible for Sheds Unlimited to deliver Amish backyard structures that were six to twelve inches higher than the norm. But then along came the Premier Garden Structures in 2012 and another solution had to be found to deliver this tall and beautiful buildings.

That was when the manager at Sheds Unlimited put on his idea cap and began dreaming of an all new trailer concept for delivering even higher outdoor structures from PA. The new Amish structures delivery trailer needed to allow for delivery a thirteen foot tall building. Premier Garden Structures combine a steep roof pitch with other fancy features to make a tall and attractive looking building. So with a maximum legal road height being of fourteen feet, the Premier Garden Structures allowed little room for the trailer itself, let alone a set of axles and wheels.

Creating a lowboy trailer seemed to be a possibility, but there were some hurdles to cross. First, the wheels protruding up in the back of the trailer would not allow the backyard portable structures to actually come off the trailer. There had to be a way for a level trailer when unloading a backyard structure. In addition, when fully loaded with sheds and garages, the trailer would be extremely cumbersome to take into small neighborhoods with the set of wheels being all the way to the rear.

But Stephen Jr. had a solution to both. He envisioned the low section of the trailer being raised with airbags to allow the backyard structures to clear the back axle. After the low-riding section is raised, the delivery Mule could ride the length of the trailer to remove the Amish structures. But the trailer would still have been a monster of a machine to take into a small neighborhood. That problem could also be solved, he mused, by creating a trailer that would lengthen according to the need and adding a steering axle to cut those tight corners in small neighborhoods.

The trailer was ordered from a local Lancaster, PA trailer manufacturer who serves the Amish structures manufacturers. Specifications included a sixteen foot extension of the lowboy area and a remote steering axle in the back. After locating a steering axle in Louisville, KY, Sheds Unlimited spent months making the connections to have it shipped to Pennsylvania and installed on the outdoor structures trailer.

Nevertheless, the axle arrived at the trailer manufacturer and finally in October the all new Amish outdoor structures trailer was delivered to Sheds Unlimited INC. The first delivery of a backyard structure was not entirely smooth, reports a company manager, there are still a few quirks to work out of the trailer. But overall, the trailer has been operating very well.

Amish Garden Structures which would previously have had to be built on site, can now be assembled as a unit a the Sheds Unlimited manufacturing facility and delivered anywhere in PA, NJ, NY, CT, DE, MD, WV and beyond. In addition, Sheds Unlimited is offering the services of the their new low-riding Amish structures trailer to other Amish barn builders and the manufacturer of the trailer has other builders of outdoor structures knocking on their door to find out more about this innovative idea. It seems to be the talk of the Amish Structures industry, says a manager at Sheds Unlimited. It will probably only be a matter of time before more Lancaster County shed builders employ the services of this new lowboy Amish outdoor structures trailer.

Amish Barn and Garage Builder in PA Releases New Catalogs for 2013 Sheds Unlimited INC - January 1, 2013 by Mr HomeBuilder

After months of work and logging hundreds of hours, the all new Amish barn and prefab garage catalogs from Sheds Unlimited INC are now available.

Gap, PA (PRWEB) December 31, 2012

For months the Sheds Unlimited design specialist has been working on the prefab car garage and Amish sheds catalogs. It has been a work of meticulous detail which is meant to show the many options available in their Dream line of one, two and three car garages. But these portable and prefab car garages designs are far from the simple designs which Amish garage builders used to specialize in.

Page through the new twenty-eight page Car Garage Ideas Catalog and one will still find the economy wooden and vinyl portable garages which have been around for decades. But in moving on and one will discover much more. There are the new for 2012 Premier Garden Garage Structures which stand out above almost any other garage designs. In addition, the Legacy Two Story Garages offering a full second floor with optional shed dormers for lots of extra space. The design team at Sheds Unlimited reports that customers are increasingly looking at their two story buildings as possibilities for creating a modular garage with apartment. Marketing and design manager at Sheds Unlimited says that whatever your need is in a prefab car garage, Sheds Unlimited has a page or two in the new catalog where you can Dream of Possibilities for your property.

The forty page Amish Barns and Sheds catalog implores customers to Imagine Your Backyard with a shed or barn from this Amish shed builder. Again, each page is filled with large full color photos of dozens of Amish sheds and barns from PA beginning with the economy portable buildings. Move on through and it might be tough to resist stopping at the two story sheds or the photos of ideas for creating beautiful backyard spaces. A recent push by the company has been to encourage customers to dream of possibilities by buying an Amish storage shed and transforming it into a backyard office or small modular home. The Premier Garden Sheds and the Legacy Two Story Sheds offer some real possibilities for creating a charming backyard space or portable home.

Sheds Unlimited INC has been one among many Amish shed builders in Lancaster County, PA during the past twenty years. But their growing line of fancy storage sheds and Premier Garden Garages has roused the attention of many customers looking for an aesthetically pleasing garage or storage shed for a reasonable cost. Its been a good year, say one of the managers of this growing family owned and operated company when discussing strong sales in the higher end garages and sheds from this Amish barn builder.

Sheds Unlimited is hoping that the new catalogs for 2013 will give customers more choices and better ideas for how they can design a custom built Amish shed or prefab car garage for their own property and have it delivered for a reasonable cost. The new prefab car garage ideas catalog and the Amish shed ideas catalogs are both available for download and are free to anyone in PA, NJ, NY, CT, DE, MD, VA and WV. Others will need to pay a shipping and handling fee set by the company.

Amish Barns and Outbuildings Manufacturer Sheds Unlimited INC Experiences Another Year of Record Sales in 2012 - January 1, 2013 by Mr HomeBuilder

GAP, Pa., Dec. 31, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Amish barns and outbuildings manufacturer, Sheds Unlimited INC of Gap, PA has reported that 2012 revenue sheets show another year of solid growth in shed and garage sales. For the past five years, Sheds Unlimited has been experiencing double digit growth nearly every year, says a company manager. By applying the Amish ethics of persistence, innovation and quality products, Sheds Unlimited INC has managed to grow their family owned and operated corporation during the toughest times of the United States economy.

Amish barns and outbuildings have a long history in the Sheds Unlimited Stoltzfus family tradition. First, they spent many years milking cows and caring for animals in the large dairy barn on the fourth generation family farm. Then in the 1990's when milk prices were low and costs were high, the family ventured into building a few barns and outbuildings in the equipment storage area of the cow barn. That only lasted a short time until the local town ordered them to stop due to zoning restrictions.

But that was not the end of the Stoltzfus family's Amish outbuildings entrepreneurship. The family persisted and started anew on the farm of an uncle about nine miles from the family farm. The Honey Brook town ordinances allowed for using existing farm buildings for small business ventures. So for several years father and sons would drive the nine miles twice daily to build their custom outbuildings in an uninsulated tobacco shed in Chester County, PA.

After several years, officials where the Stoltzfus family farm was located asked the farmers and homeowners for ideas on rezoning the area. It was after that the Sheds Unlimited was able to build a prefab outbuildings manufacturing shop on the family farm in Gap, PA. The building was soon completed and thus placing the family outbuildings business on the working family farm. The oldest son ran the dairy while several brothers and dad continued building outbuildings.

"That was in the days when anyone could run a business and succeed without trying", says a brother who helps manage the growing company. But then the economic downturn hit the barns and outbuildings manufacturing sector. While at one time almost any Amish outbuildings producer could count on 6-8 weeks of backlog during the busy summer months, many shed and prefab garage builders were simply happy to keep their employees working. Some had to cut back on days worked, others were happy for just a two week order backlog and several Amish outbuildings manufacturers were even forced to close their doors during these tough times.

But things were different for Sheds Unlimited. New management and attractive outbuilding designs combined with an edge in internet marketing led to record sales year after year. Sheds Unlimited has the advantage of having an in-house internet specialist who has spent the past years developing that part of their company. Chris is the middle son of five in the Stoltzfus family who has no formal training in web design or marketing. Not long before the economy took a dive he bought a $100.00 computer program to create a website. That program changed the way their business has operated since that time.

Chris put together a simple outbuildings website with prices and a few good quality photos. With the website up and running it was only a short time before calls and sales increased substantially. With some extra work to bring their site to the top, Sheds Unlimited began selling more and more portable outbuildings and prefab garages and traveling greater distances to deliver them. Sales in PA, NJ, NY, CT, DE, MD, VA, and WV slowly increased as the website continued to expand. And while the webmaster declined to share the secrets of their success, he did say that creating a website which works takes hundreds of hours of meticulous and dedicated work.

But whatever the cost or time put into building this website, the payback has far exceeded the Amish outbuildings manufacturer. Barns and outbuilding sales have increased in the double digits for most of the past five years. In 2012 sales were up 7% over last year and have more than quadrupled over the past several years. Double digit increases from year to year have been common for the past several years. In a nutshell, the toughest years for the outbuildings industry turned out to be the best of years for this growing family owned and operated corporation.

New product lines have also helped increase sales over the past five years. In the beginning, Sheds Unlimited was producing only wooden outbuildings. Soon they graduated to vinyl outbuildings of various sizes and styles. Next they added the classic outbuildings line and more recently the Premier Garden Outbuildings and Legacy Two Story Outbuildings which are a great choice when looking for a modular garage with an apartment area.

Growth in the past years has taken a lot of effort, say the Sheds Unlimited INC managers, but with the help of a creative management and design team, robust internet marketing and new Amish outbuilding products, the business has thrived. And while Sheds Unlimited does not know what the future holds, they hope to continue to offer great products and competitive prices and serve their customers with superior service in 2013.

Jax Fish House in Denver closes Jan. 1 for two-week remodeling - January 1, 2013 by Mr HomeBuilder

Jax Fish House in Denver closes New Years Day for a two-week remodel. But staffers such as star bartender Tim Harris, in photo, return. (File photo)

Jax Fish House in Denver is taking New Years Eve to heart, ringing out the old and ringing in the new with a two-week remodeling that will close the restaurant starting Jan. 1. Of course, theyll still do their annual Dec. 31 blowout, complete with bubbly and noisemakers.

This is just a matter of continuing to evolve, says owner Dave Query, who opened Jaxs LoDo room in November 1996, refurbishing the old Terminal Bar memorialized in a Tom Waits song. The bar will expand and it will have a new look and menu, but with the same staff, which is a team crucial to our success, says Query, who has been an area restarateur for more than 20 years.

Jax, which opened its first restaurant in Boulder, is arguably responsible for bringing super-fresh seafood to Denver at least in a way that stuck. More than a few Colorado residents had their first bites of Kumamoto and Fanny Bay oysters at the raw bar, thanks to Jax and air couriers. Query, who heads the Big Red F Restaurant Group, promises a re-tooled, streamlined and updated Jax that will be bigger, badder and fresher than anything you could ever imagine.

OK, there might be some caffeine-driven hyperbole in there, but Query details an expanded raw bar, three times as many tap beers, an expanded housemade-soda program, and more fresh-off-the-jet seafood.

Jax has won numerous awards for its food and beverage programs, including a 2012 citation from Travel & Leisure magazine.

And yes, bartender Tim Harris will still be working his magic behind the pine. The man is still Brooks Robinson with a martini shaker.

A firm re-opening date hasnt been set, Query says, but theyre shooting for mid-January.
