ALBEMARLE, Va. Albemarle County schools pulled Marva Maid milk from their shelves Wednesday, after deeming the milk had spoiled.
CBS 6 confirmed the Virginia State Health Department is investigating the supply to determine whether or not it is connected to spoiled milk cases from Henrico and Prince William Counties.
It is unclear whether or not the Albemarle County milk will impact the Marva Maid recall. Currently, a voluntary recall is in place for milk with expiration dates between May 30th and June 2nd.
The expiration dates for Albemarle County fall outside that range.
The Virginia Health Department announced Tuesday Marva Maid Milk did test positive for higher levels of bacteria that results in premature spoilage.
We will include it in our investigation, Julie Henderson, Director of the Division of Food and General Environmental Services for the Department of Health, said.
I think we should remind people to trust their nose, Henderson added.
CBS 6 wanted to know whether or not Marva Maid should have informed the state about spoiled milk reports from Prince William County.
Prince William reported spoiled milk to the company on May 23, however the state did not find out about a potential milk issue until five days later, on May 28, when Henrico Schools informed the Health Department.
Henderson says Marva Maid was not required to report the Prince William incident to them because it is not considered an imminent danger.

KOTA KINABALU: The T1@Bundusan commercial hub is set to redefine the landscape of the city here once completed in 2017.
The project sited on 1.94 acres of land will be developed by Tan Brothers Machinery Company (TBMC) and this will be their first venture in property development projects in Sabah.
The project comprises 12 4-storey blocks of commercial shop offices and 12 units of dual-volume sky F&B outlets on level 5, a 6-storey boutique hotel and a single-storey basement car park at the 1.94 acres of land, said TBMC director Anthony Tan at the launching of the ceremony of the project on Friday.
T1@Bundusan is an iconic building, moving away from the norm of the design of commercial property.
It is a remarkable piece of art, which will transform Sabahs typology. T1@Bundusan is derived from the letter T which reflects transformation of concept for this flagship development, said Anthony.
The conceptual architecture of T1 was conceived by Mak Thur Pei of Mak Arkitek Konsult, the young architect who has won the inaugural Tan Sri Chan Sau Lai Architecture Award by the Malaysian Institute of Architect for fresh and innovative design, he said.
The building has been designed with quality in mind and meticulously crafted for those who appreciate the finer things in life, he added.
Upon its completion in 2017, it will redefine the business landscape as it will be built with up to date infrastructure and IT facilities.

The Walker's residence was one of 10 stops on the City of Woodland's third free Water-Wise Landscape Tour Saturday, offered to explore attractive, water-efficient landscapes.
"Water-wise landscapes not only reduce water consumption and reduce potential of pollution discharges into the storm water system, they can also beautify a home, lower maintenance, and provide welcome habitat for beneficial insects and birds," according to Wayne Blanchard, water conservation coordinator for the city's Public Works Department.
The Walker's agreed.

Andy, a professor of viticulture at UC Davis, said the front yard of their home on the quiet cul de sac has gone through many iterations over the past decades, but its present mix is both attractive and water smart.
The couple have lived in the home for 24 years, and Andy said there was no definitive plan on how to go about building the yard itself.
"It's been a lot of work, and I'll work on it now every couple of months, putting in little bits and pieces," Walker explained as people started arriving to check out the home.
There were around 100 people who signed up for the tour this year, about the same as in previous years, city officials explained.
"During warm weather months residential customers with traditional lawn landscapes allocate, sometimes unknowingly, about 50 percent of their water use to landscape irrigation," Blanchard said earlier as a reason for the tour. "A properly designed water-wise landscape can easily cut outdoor water consumption in half during those warm months."

The soil that surrounds new houses in most production-built communities in the Washington area is of such poor quality that foresters and turf specialists call it dead soil.
How is that possible?
Before home construction begins, builders remove the topsoil and stockpile it to the side. When the house is completed, the topsoil is put back.
That provides some boost to a new yard, though not nearly enough, because all that stripping, stockpiling and respreading is disruptive. The topsoil is not remotely the same quality as what was there before, said Vincent Verweij, an urban forester with Arlington County Parks and Recreation.
But the biggest factor in the problem, Verweij said, is what happens to the subsoil after the topsoil has been removed.
The builder is legally required to stabilize the subsoil to ensure the stability of the foundation, basement floor slab and walls and the grading around the house, and he does this by compaction, he said. But the compaction degrades the soil quality, increases its acidity, kills microbes and significantly reduces the ability of the tree roots and other roots to take hold and have access to nutrients.
Although necessary, the compaction creates a type of soil so firm that experts call it hardpan. Mike Goatley, a turf specialist at Virginia Tech, said that trying to landscape in a yard with this type of subsoil is like trying to grow plant materials in concrete.
There is a solution, which requires a builder to take an additional step.
Typically, at the end of the job, a home builder engages a landscaping contractor to scarify, or lightly till, the surface of the compacted subsoil before spreading the stockpiled topsoil. Then the yard is sprayed with a mixture of water, green paper mulch, seed and straw. (In late fall or early spring, sod might be used instead.) The extra step would require the landscaping contractor to spread a two-inch layer of new compost and thoroughly rototill it to a depth of 4 to 5 inches before the spraying. To be effective, a high-quality compost from a reputable source, such as a local municipalitys compost-producing facility, must be used.
Breaking up the uppermost layer of subsoil greatly increases the soils ability to absorb rainwater, and adding the top-grade compost gives a huge boost to everything planted in the new yard.

BUTTE Congressional candidate John Lewis had some frank words for fellow Montana Democrats at this weekends party convention, saying they have a steep hill to climb if they hope to succeed in November elections.
This going to be a tough election; lets be honest, he said Friday night. John Walsh and I Were not well-known. Its going to take a lot of work to change that.
Lewis, the Democratic nominee for Montanas open U.S. House seat, then brought the partisan crowd to its feet with standard convention rhetoric, saying Democrats will outwork their Republican counterparts and win.
But in private conversations at the weekend platform convention, Democrats of all stripes acknowledged that what Lewis said out loud Friday night is true: Montana Democrats face a precarious political landscape in 2014.
President Barack Obama is unpopular in Montana, and Republicans hope to exploit that fact, tying him to Democrats running for Congress and the Legislature. A non-presidential election year also means lower voter turnout, hurting Democrats, as it did in 2010, when they lost 18 seats in the Montana House.
Democrats lack a well-known, charismatic candidate at the top of the ticket. Republicans, however, have U.S. Senate candidate Steve Daines, a better-known name who has shown he can raise big money, and whos been shown by most polls to have a double-digit lead over Democratic Sen. John Walsh as the general-election campaign begins.
It all adds up to what some consider a daunting road ahead for Democrats this election year in Montana but party officials, supporters and candidates say its far from over.
I think its difficult, but I dont think its undoable, said Eric Feaver, president of the MEA-MFT, the states largest labor union. I think this election has just begun.
Feaver and others said Lewis and Walsh need to come out swinging, punching hard against Daines and Republican U.S. House candidate Ryan Zinke, telling voters forcefully how the parties respective candidates differ on issues like abortion, health care, education, public lands and the role of government.
If hard-hitting attacks can soften up the GOP opposition, funders of outside-money groups will see that the races may be close, and start stepping in to provide some needed help, Democratic officials said.
