Blood found on porches of two houses in the area of the Pocono Mountains where state police have been searching for more than a month for alleged cop killer Eric Frein does not belong to the suspect, state police said Monday.

State police have concentrated most of the search on the Canadensis and Cresco areas of Barrett Township in Monroe County since identifying Frein as a suspect in the Sept. 12 of ambush on the state police barracks in Blooming Grove, Pike County.

A possible sighting of him on Saturday by a woman near the high school Frein had attended, prompted state police to move the search area slightly south to the Swiftwater area of Paradise and Pocono townships.

State police believe Frein, who had lived with his parents in Cresco, may be relying on unoccupied or vacant cabins and vacation homes for food and shelter.

On Thursday, state police were contacted by two home owners in Cresco who believed they had found blood on their porches possibly belonging to Frein.

One house had blood droplets on the deck of a covered porch, and the other house had a smear on the inside of a rear door of an enclosed porch, state police said.

On Monday, state police said those blood samples did not match Frein.

Lab results showed the droplets of blood were human, but the DNA did not match Eric Frein. The stain collected on the door turned out not to be blood, state police said.

Residents in the Poconos have been on high alert since state police launched the search for Frein after identifying him as a suspect on Sept. 16 because his SUV was found abandoned about a mile north of the Blooming Grove state police barracks.

Frein is suspected of killing Cpl. Bryon Dickson, 38, of Dunmore, and wounding Trooper Alex Douglass, 31, of Olyphant, as they were changing shifts. Douglass is recovering at a rehabilitation facility after being released from a Scranton hospital last week.

BLOOMING GROVE, Pa. -- Pennsylvania State Police in northeastern Pennsylvania Monday said blood droplets found on porches of two different homes last week were not those of Eric Frein.

Frein is accused of ambushing two Pennsylvania State Police troopers outside the Blooming Grove barracks on the night of Sept. 12. One of the troopers was killed. Since that time, scores of law enforcement personnel have been searching for Frein in wooded areas around the scene.

On Thursday, two homeowners in the Cresco area of Monroe County reported finding what looked like blood stains on their porches. Samples collected and analyzed confirmed the blood was human at one of the homes, but tested negative for DNA of Frein. The sample from the second location was even blood.

Police continue their search for Frein in and around the vacant cabins and homes in the area of the search in communities along the Pike and Monroe county line. Law enforcement believed he may enter homes to get supplies. Frein is a self-professed survivalist.

Friday night, a resident said she came within 20 feet of a man with a muddy face and carrying a rifle. Investigators said that was a crediable sighting of Frein.

Police found Frein's Jeep in a swamp just a few days after the shooting. In addition, while searching for Frein, they have found pipe bombs, an automatic rifle, food, ammunition and clothing.

Frein is considered armed and dangerous and people are advised to stay out of the search areas.

UPDATE: Authorities continue searching for the escaped inmate Monday Morning.

DURANT, OK -- It looks like a normal Sunday as shoppers shop and sit on porches, but everyone in town is keeping their eye out for Bryan County Jail escapee Raymond Jay Stewart, described as 6'2" and 160 pounds.

"He's a real dangerous man and we need to get him picked up and put back where he belongs," said resident Burt Briedwell

A two million dollar bond kept him behind bars. Awaiting trial for first degree murder of Durant man Steven Sessums. That is, until the sheriff says the 26-year-old pushed past an officer during visitation Saturday afternoon, running out an exit.

"My niece called me and my daughter had called me to let me know something had happened and since we live right behind the jail, it was very, watch it when you go home type thing," Nancy Rodgers said.

The OSBI and US Marshals are aiding in the search. In a statement the sheriff says "We are still actively looking for Raymond Stewart. All our resources are being used. There are no new leads as of right now."

"we've seen lots of excitement with road blocks and and getting stopped quite a bit and having our vehicles checked."

stewart is considered armed and dangerous. His rap sheet includes prison time for concealing stolen property and an assault and battery conviction. The sheriff is asking everyone to be cautious, and some citizens aren't just locking doors -- they're loading guns.

"I can sleep close to my pistol for one thing," Rodgers said. "If he comes in my house he won't leave."

Residents all agree it's only a matter of time before Stewart is found, but question the desperation of a man accused of a crime that could imprison him for life.

DUKE CENTER The Duke Center United Methodist Church marked its 50th anniversary on Saturday afternoon by unveiling the contents of its cornerstone placed 50 years ago.

Parish members and previous pastors all gathered for the celebration.

For 12 months preceding the celebration, church members had selected 12 different organizations they wanted to support to commemorate their 50 years. They set a goal each month to collect and donate 50 items to the selected organization for that month.

We were so surprised that we not only met our goal each month, but we exceed the amount every month, Sue Bennett said.

The 12 organizations the church selected were the Second Harvest Food Distribution, Genesis House, Duke Center Angel Tree, The Friendship Table, McKean County SPCA, Otto Township Fire Department Auxiliary, Ruth M. Smith Center, Camp Penuel, Bright Alternatives, To-Fill-A-Backpack, Boy Scout Troop 413, and the YWCA Bradford.

Guests and members of the church were welcomed to the celebration with tables of past news articles, photographs, and letters from members.The church also displayed the items saved from the previous church before it burned in 1962. Some of those items include a bible and cross that leans from the intense heat of the fire, but never melted completely. The bell from the old church was placed in the front lawn of the current church along with the cornerstone in 1964.

Pastor Gary Sheesley began the ceremonies by thanking all in attendance for being a part of the special day.After an opening hymn and scripture reading, Sheesley asked those in attendance to share their experiences of the church over the past 50 years.Many members recalled their memories and took turns telling their stories.

Pastor Robert E. Goode, who served as pastor from 1962 to 1968, was in attendance with his wife, Vera. He was the churchs pastor during the fire and rebuilding of the new church.

Ive reached the age where memories are hard to recall sometimes, but our hearts will always be here, because this church has meant so much to us, said Goode.He recalled the times they spent at the Masonic Building, which is where the church held services until the new church was built. Goode also talked about the planning and preparation of building and opening the new church, and also about the day the cornerstone was placed.

Also in attendance was pastor Seth McClymonds, who served in that role from 1999-2004.McClymonds shared his fondest memories of his time at the church, and jokingly talked about the time he almost burned the church down after an advent candle was placed directly under the large cross in front of the church.This story produced many chuckles throughout the congregation.
