Plans to restore Muhammad Ali's boyhood home in west Louisville have hit a snag.
Organizers planned to begin work this week, but not enough money has been raised for the $250,000 project.
Kansas-based 19th Century Restoration plans on gutting the home and transforming it into what it looked like in the 1950s.
They also hope to buy the home next door and turn it into a parking lot and community center.
We need to shine a light on the west end of Louisville, Kentucky, and show the world where Muhammad Ali was built. These are all the little pieces of what made this great man, said Dan Riedemann with 19th Century Restoration.
Organizers are hopeful the project will be finished by Jan. 17, in time for Muhammad Ali's 73rd birthday.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP A man accidentally drove his car into his own home Thursday.
He was not injured, said Bristol Township police Lt. Guy Sava.
The man, whose name was not released, was unable to hit the brake pedal while going into his driveway at about 1:45 p.m. at 921 Bath Road.
Sava said the man has some physical disabilities and accidentally hit the accelerator and drove into the home.
Firefighters and an ambulance responded, but he was not trapped in the car as initially believed.
Sava said inspectors were trying to determine if the house is structurally sound. No further information was available.

"The current bridge served the community well for many years, and even today it is structurally sound, Gov. Beshear said
GLASGOW, Ky (WBKO) -- Governor Beshear today announced funding for design to fast-track a much-needed replacement bridge on a roadway vital to three educational institutions in Glasgow.
The new bridge and approaches will take the place of a narrow, functionally obsolete span built in 1963 to carry KY 249 Roseville Road over the South Fork of Beaver Creek.
The bridge is between Roseville Roads intersections with Hilltopper Way and Trojan Trail, which together provide access to the Glasgow campus of Western Kentucky University and to Barren County High School and Barren County Middle School.
"The current bridge served the community well for many years, and even today it is structurally sound, Gov. Beshear said. But the needs of the community, especially the need for safe and efficient access to the high school, middle school and Westerns Glasgow campus, have outgrown the old bridge.
The Governor said he and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet have committed $120,000 toward design of a new bridge. Funding for other phases of a replacement project right of way, utilities and construction will have to be provided in a future Kentucky Highway Plan. But the immediate commitment of design funding will give us a much-needed jump start on a new bridge, Gov. Beshear said.
This bridge has served our area well for decades, but the need to replace it is clear, so I want to thank Gov. Beshear, the Transportation Cabinet and my colleagues in the General Assembly for working with me to get that project underway, said Rep. Johnny Bell, of Glasgow. Like many others, Im looking forward to the day when this new bridge is complete. Im committed to making that happen as quickly as possible.
A lot of traffic comes into Barren County from this direction, and this proposal will really help open up KY 249, said Barren County Judge-Executive Davie Greer. We have worked with the Transportation Cabinet for a long time, and Im pleased to see this project, which is desperately needed, move forward.
I want to thank Gov. Beshear, the Transportation Cabinet and others involved in this project for investing in Glasgows future, said Glasgow Mayor Rhonda Riherd Trautman. The Highway 249 bridge project will improve the infrastructure and safety for those who travel this road for generations to come. It is a great example of the state stepping in to help meet the needs of the citizens of Glasgow.

It was bound to happen. I was walking around all cocky like I was president of the world orsomething. So darn ahead of the game....somebody crown me Queen of the ORC. I will give seminars on how to work this gig. There will be a reality show......
Yeah....then BAM. The fall was long and hard. We had to go to Chicago to take my father in law to the doctors.
Crikey......will I even finish now?
I say that because I do have a few paying clients that might need some attention ya know?
Anyway before I left we did make a little progress.
Welcome to week 5 of the ORC!
If you follow me on Instagram then you saw we played around with the art gallery wall.
There was only one problem.....the picture on the bottom left was just not working. Too small and we only had 2 for the other side. Since this is for family I can improvise:) I told the ex bunny to paint something up before I got there.
It might not look much different but when you see the whole wall you will get it!
Other decisions.....We ordered 2 of these to go behind the sofa.

Editor's note: After an employee in the trusted position of evidence technician allegedly stole drugs and money from the Farmington Police Department, Chief Steve Hebbe invited The Daily Times to attend his daily command briefings. The effects of those thefts could be far reaching, and Hebbe said he wanted the process of determining the damage and formulating changes to prevent a reoccurrence to be transparent. It was an unprecedented offer in this editor's experience. The Daily Times accepted the invitation. We agreed to only one condition that we would discuss whether we would use information if police thought it could compromise a case. We attended the third briefing on Oct.

FARMINGTON Less than a week after Farmington Police Department employee Ashley Goodvoyce was accused of pilfering cash and pain pills from the department's evidence room, senior officials met in a conference room for the first command briefing on the status of the investigation.
The officers and civilian employees tackled the task of dissecting the theft and its implications, which were many, in the daily briefings. The briefings also covered policy, command structure and physical remodeling of buildings, with the intention of making evidence more secure. As of Thursday, department employees had spent 753 hours investigating the thefts, Police Chief Steve Hebbe said.
Officials learned of the thefts on Oct. 14 when a detective requested evidence and a technician discovered it was missing. Goodvoyce was taken into custody on Oct. 17.
The thefts could have far-reaching consequences. The count as of Thursday: 69 bags of evidence were tampered with, 41 chain-of-custody records were falsified, one signature was forged and $5,597 in cash was stolen. The amount of cash could increase by $570, department officials said.
San Juan County Chief Deputy District Attorney Dustin O'Brien has said the thefts could impact 13 active cases involving drugs held in the department's evidence room. More could still be identified.
Detective Sgt. Brandon Lane gave a list on Oct. 21 to the District Attorney's Office that named 48 suspects who could be freed because of Goodvoyce's alleged actions.
Police say those actions could ruin active cases and potentially set criminals free. However, sloppy evidence processing by police in some cases also meant the exact number of pills stolen was unknown. Some officers, Hebbe explained in an interview, were not following procedure.

Bharti Airtel Ltd. (BHARTI), Indias largest mobile-phone services provider, reported profit that beat analyst estimates as customers spent more time browsing the Internet, exchanging e-mail and downloading songs and photos.
Net income more than doubled to 13.8 billion rupees ($225 million) in the fiscal second quarter, the New Delhi-based company said in a statement today. Profit surpassed the 13 billion-rupee median of 24 analysts estimates compiled by Bloomberg.
Billionaire Chairman Sunil Mittals company joins smaller competitor Idea Cellular Ltd. in posting profit that exceeded estimates as a proliferation of low-cost smartphones spurs a surge in mobile Internet access. Bharti introduced a music streaming application last month in a bid to boost data usage.
Low-cost smartphones such as Google One devices costing under $100 should help boost data penetration, Praveen Menon, a New York-based analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence, said in an e-mail before the earnings announcement. This would benefit Indian telcos such as Bharti, especially in rural areas.
Mobile data sales, including at its Africa operations, rose 67 percent to 25.4 billion rupees, contributing more than two-thirds of the incremental revenue, Bharti said. Mobile data revenue in India climbed 74 percent, boosted by a 43 percent increase in the number of users and a 31 percent jump in usage per customer, it said.
We continue to see strong momentum in mobile data, Gopal Vittal, chief executive officer for India and South Asia, said in the statement. The companys introduction of fourth-generation services in 15 cities is now witnessing stronger customer acceptance, he said.
The average price of smartphones sold in India has declined by more than $100 in the past three years to $142, according to Bloomberg Intelligence.
Idea, the third-largest Indian wireless carrier, on Oct. 20 reported better-than-estimated profit of 7.56 billion rupees after data volume more than doubled.
Sales at Bharti increased 7 percent to 228.5 billion rupees in the three months ended September, missing the the 232 billion-rupee median of 24 analysts estimates.
Bharti rose 0.6 percent to 407.50 rupees at the close in Mumbai trading, before the earnings announcement. The stock has gained 23 percent this year, compared with a 29 percent increase in the benchmark S&P BSE India Sensex Index.

WASHINGTON -
With Halloween nearing, there are a few things scarier than someone stalking you online. But that is exactly what could happen if you download certain apps or scroll through some social media sites without paying attention to the permissions page.
It can be easy for someone with evil intentions to find you. And those intentions can be deadly. What you are about to see is a story of a short movie with a very important message.
We showed it to people and watched them react -- with many still frightened.
At first glance, you might think this is a horror movie. And you know what? You're right. But the only thing is that you are the star.
The interactive five-minute film called "Take This Lollipop" was created by Hollywood director Jason Zada.
It shows a very intense version of Facebook stalking.
It's so real, said one girl we showed this to. That's my face and those are all my pictures and those are things that I think are private when I log onto my personal Facebook.
The app takes your pictures, it takes your location, and your friends list, and then shows how someone could take your life in a matter of minutes.
Those are my pictures, said Tom Guarino. It's weird. I don't know what's going on.
