It seems like celebrities are always trying to prove how normal they are. Especially now during the global coronavirus crisis, celebs are trying to push the message that theyre just like everyone else.
Kylie Jenner may not be an exception. She didnt take part in Gal Gadots cringe worthy Imagine cover, but she does sometimes seem to flaunt the normal things she likes doing.
One of those things is baking. Even though she has more than enough money to order any kind of cupcake she wants, she prefers to make her own. She whipped up a batch for her daughter Stormis birthday party. And she made some when her home was featured in Architectural Digest.
Her most recent confection was for Easter. Jenner made a batch for the holidays, and gave fans a peek at the special pantry she has thats dedicated to baking.
The room is organized perfectly for any baker. Jenner has more than 20 clear plastic containers for sprinkles, all stacked in neat rows. She has bigger containers on the top shelf for chocolate. Theres a tub for milk chocolate, one for dark chocolate, and one for white chocolate.
It makes sense that Kylie would have a perfect cupcake pantry considering her love of baking. She also has a huge house, with more than enough space for a special room just for cupcake accouterments.
Apparently her interior designer is Martyn Lawrence Bullard, and if the Architectural Digest photos are any indication, he nailed Jenners personality. The home is modern, fun, yet elegant.
Jenner includes pops of color in all her rooms. Shes also not afraid to reference her daughter Stormi, either.
While her sister Kim Kardashians house is sterile looking, often without a toy to be seen, Jenners decorations are kid-friendly. In one picture she even has a decorative leopard print baby carriage. In another, viewers can see a pink toy car in the frame.
Jenner is making cupcakes in the pictures of her kitchen, which is further proof that shes not trying to be overly perfect. Shes not afraid to get her hands dirty in the kitchen, especially if theres a yummy treat at the end.
Even though Jenner enjoys baking more than any of the other Kardashian Jenner sisters, shes not the only one with an enviable pantry. Her sisters Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian have bragged about their well-organized pantries in the past, and fans went wild.
Fan absolutely loved Khloe Kardashians perfectly organized fridge and pantry. Both were color-coordinated to a tee, including a color-coordinated candy drawer. Even though Kardashian is an incredibly organized person, she didnt do all the color coordination herself. It turns out she has professional organizers, in the form of a company known as The Home Edit.
The organization also organized her sister Kim Kardashians pantry, as well as many other celebrities. Their clients include Mandy Moore and Reese Witherspoon. With their busy schedules, its not surprising Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian would need help to stay on top of their kitchen organization.
Jenner hasnt been listed as a client of The Home Edit, but its clear her pantry is inspired by their organization style. The Home Edit did note in an Instagram story that Jenner used their products, available at The Container Store, for her organization.
No matter who did her pantry, one thing is certain. With a cupcake closet like hers, Jenners cupcakes are bound to be amazing. Fans already know they look great based on the pictures shes posted on Instagram. Her interior decorator got to taste one after her Architectural Digest shoot. According to him, they taste delicious too.

As today marks 27 years since the great Spiders From Mars guitarist Mick Ronson sadly passed away, we are revisiting the moment that he stepped out of David Bowies shadow and performed on The Old Grey Whistle Test in his own right.
Ronson was a crucial part of the Ziggy Stardust era and he enjoyed wonderful natural chemistry with Bowie that few others who played with him during his entire career would ever replicate.
Bowie would detail their on-stage relationship in an interview shortly after Ronsons death, fondly saying: Mick was the perfect foil for the Ziggy character. He was very much a salt-of-the-earth type, the blunt northerner with a defiantly masculine personality, so that what you got was the old-fashioned Yin and Yang thing.
Adding: As a rock duo, I thought we were every bit as good as Mick and Keith or Axl and Slash. Ziggy and Mick were the personification of that rock n roll dualism. He provided this strong, earthy, simply-focussed idea of what a song was all about. And I would simply flutter all around him on the edges and decorate. I was sort of the interior decorator.
Following that famous farewell concert that Bowie played to the Ziggy Stardust character in 1973 at the Hammersmith Odeon, it was time for Ronson to move on to a new venture himself as any reminiscents from the Stardust era were to be discarded as Bowie would reinvent himself once more.
Ronson would go on to release just two solo albums during his lifetime and a further four records of unreleased material were released posthumously in 1999. His first record Slaughter On 10th Avenue was a rousing success that landed in the Top 10 in the UK charts and following the release of his 1975 record Play Dont Worry, Ronson would appear on The Old Grey Whistle Test and prove himself to be a proper solo star.
However, being a solo icon wasnt his aspiration and he preferred to be in the background rather than at the forefront. Following the release of Play Dont Worry, he would go on to have great success collaborating with other musicians for the rest of his days which included him being a member of Bob Dylans live band for the Rolling Thunder Revue tour.
Ronson is one of the most underrated guitar players of all time who played such a significant role in influencing musicians in the generations that would follow him and he lived a tremendous life that was cut way too soon. Take a few minutes out and enjoy the sheer beauty of his performance of Angel No. 9 which captures Ronson in the peak of his short-lived solo career.

As Muslims worldwide start the observance of Ramadan, one cannot deny the culinary significance of this month, which dates back thousands of years across the Mediterranean, the Middle East and North Africa
The history of this food is that of the Middle East. Dishes carry the triumphs and glories, the defeats, the loves and sorrows of the past, writes Claudia Roden in her The New Book of Middle Eastern Food. Food and traditions of the Middle East and North African cultures are very prosperous. And the holy month of Ramadan becomes an ideal time to focus and notice the reassuring depths of these regions and the richness of their cuisine. Aside from fasting and gastronomic traditions, this month attracts attention to spiritual acts, sharing, strengthening family and friendship ties. Muslims are urged to share meals with their loved ones and reach out to those who are in need.
While patterns of food traditions differ in every geography, that of the Eastern Mediterranean and North African people is usually considered to be appealing for a majority of people. The food of this region combines a style of cooking that is characterised by fresh and natural ingredients and distinctive techniques to create the tastiest dishes. These then come together in large gatherings around meticulously prepared, heart-warming table settings that are subject to deep conversations. Those are tables of fragrant aromas of blossoms, authentic spices, fresh herbs, refreshing mezes and sweet delights. In other words, it is much more than an exotic categorisation of kebab-land.
In fact, there is something unique about it. The dishes are as healthy to eat as they are delicious.
Speaking to TRT World, Priscilla Mary Isin, a prominent writer and food historian based in Istanbul, admits what comes to her mind initially is the wide variety of vegetable dishes, both hot and cold. Instead of vegetables playing second fiddle to meat as in Western European cuisines, they are treated as flavours in their own right. In the Middle East excellent meals can be prepared with very little meat or none at all. She thinks this is not only healthier but better for the environment, explaining: Since intensive animal husbandry to supply the enormous demand for beef in the Western world means that cattle are treated with antibiotics regularly and this is washed into the soil and water supply.
This is a time for deep spirituality and good doings where Muslims all around the world show patience and gratitude by quieting their hearts and minds from sunrise to sunset. Yet one can surely not assume that this is what it is all about. At least, not those that have at least once been present in a Muslim country during Ramadan. A significant portion of the culinary culture which has developed around Ramadan surely includes a ceremony-like preparation before it arrives.
The stories and memories
Omar Baban, an Istanbul based interior decorator who also has roots from Lebanon, recalls that period as his favourite. We would welcome Ramadan even more enthusiastically in the Middle East and decorate our homes with more care and excitement. We used special tablecloths, napkins, plates, bowls, glasses for Ramadan. Resembling medieval literature such as One Thousand and One Nights, he describes their home atmosphere during this period thus: The lanterns and candles, as well as oil lamps in the shape of the crescent and star illuminated everywhere. We used dates and palm branches instead of fresh flowers on the table. The stories and memories of this period are always entertaining and colourful.
One cannot deny the culinary experiences that remind us of a part of Ramadan. There are a couple of recipes and common practices that are associated with it. As Mary Isin explains: Breaking fast with dates, a favourite food of the Prophet Muhammed, is common practice. Meals are structured differently, beginning with several small entres such as cheese, and often soup, followed by other hot dishes. The pre-dawn meal consists of simple light dishes. As most Turkish people would already be familiar with, Isin explains Ramadan meals are also always accompanied by a crusty circular loaf of leavened bread called Ramazan pidesi sprinkled with Nigella seeds. The crown of Ramadan food surely belongs to this special type of bread because it only comes out during this period.
Culinary traditions on religious occasions vary from country to country of course. Isin says she is familiar with those in Turkey. During this month, desserts with sherbet (sweet syrup) or fragrant aromas such as the rose flavoured dessert of gllaare rather more appreciated. In Turkey baklava and glla, a layered pudding made of starch wafers soaked in sweet milk, are particularly associated with Ramadan. Baklava is also eaten throughout the year, but it is rare to eat glla at any other time. She explains sweets are also closely associated with Eid al Fitr at the end of Ramadan that it is called the Sugar Holiday. Sweets symbolise good-will, good fortune and happiness, so they are a part of religious celebrations and joyful occasions like weddings.
A sweet dessert with syrup is made at least once during Ramadan, even if the weather is hot and it may be considered heavy. In the last few years, the holy month has coincided with the longer days of hot months, making it more difficult for the observers. Hot months shall bring lighter food alternatives too, and desserts are not the only way to enjoy the aromatic delights that nature has to offer in these lands. Orange for example has a long history in many Mediterranean countries. Yet, a secret of the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisines remain rather unknown: orange blossom water. It is a byproduct of distilling fragrant orange blossoms of the orange tree and has a long tradition in Middle Eastern cuisine that continues to this day. It is used in syrups, basboosa, sponges and even baklavas. Or it simply flavours some dishes such as rice or fresh salads as well as cold drinks to create refreshments. The perfumed aroma is intense and it is no wonder why it is so popular.
Middle Eastern food evokes the idea of spirituality, in holy references or as part of religious celebrations, like Eid al Fitr at the end of Ramadan. Iisn explains this as such: In Islam sweet foods have traditionally had a spiritual aspect, symbolising Gods blessings to mankind and human love of God. The 13th-century Islamic mystic Rumi frequently uses helva, a word of Arabic origin meaning any sweet, as a metaphor for such religious concepts. This idea probably originates in the sweet manna sent as a gift from heaven by God that is mentioned in the Bible and the Koran. In Turkey, semolina helva and doughnuts in syrup are served to mourners at funerals and even to passers-by on the street outside the mosque where the funeral has taken place because these sweet foods express good wishes for the soul of the dead person.
A healthier diet
The tradition of Middle Eastern hospitality and food culture exemplifies power to promote bonding too. This portrays itself in its cuisine, flavours, and even table settings. Coming together over food is universal of course. But in the Middle East even a chance visitor is always invited to the table if the family is eating, Isin says. She continues to say the idea that people like to be on their own is very foreign to Middle Eastern culture. So often I have heard British people say that bereaved people would prefer to be left alone to grieve and hesitate to visit them. I cannot disagree more. In so many other cultures relatives, friends and neighbours visit the home of the bereaved family, take them food so they do not have to cook, show sympathy, listen to the bereaved talking about their lost loved ones and their feelings of grief, and provide companionship and sympathy. This is so important.
But what does Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food culture bring to other countries? Certainly a healthier diet. It has taught us that beans and soup do not need to come out of a tin. I remember eating so much tinned food when I was a child in the 1950s and 60s. Even noodles in tomato sauce came out of a tin. Isin recalls. I had never seen pasta or dried beans cooked at home. My mother baked wonderful pies and puddings, but savoury food was very limited. Stew was of one kind only, with potatoes but no vegetables added to the meat. Minced meat was cooked like stew and was ghastly! But Middle Eastern vegetable stews with just a handful of minced meat to add richness are delicious. Vegetarians are much luckier now. One cannot ignore the sweet and passionate relationship Turks at least have with yoghurt. Yoghurt is an ingredient or topping in so many Middle Eastern dishes and real yoghurt is an important probiotic. Of course it is still hard to find good plain yoghurt with a sufficiently tangy flavour in Britain unfortunately.
She says in Eastern countries people are very aware of health giving properties of food which are easy to digest, which are suitable for invalids, which for hot and which for cold.
And I hope some of this awareness has rubbed off on British people.
We have to credit the role of immigration in this. The food historian says it has added enormous variety to cuisine in Britain. Although traditional British dishes like roast beef with Yorkshire pudding and pies are delicious, they tend to be time consuming to prepare and rely mostly on oven cooking, which has a high fuel consumption. Indian, Chinese and Middle Eastern dishes are usually much quicker to prepare, cooked in pans on a stove, which is more economical, and provide a far more varied and nourishing diet, since they include a high proportion of vegetables and pulses. This vision has spread far and wide in years because of many reasons. Restaurants established by immigrants made eating out affordable for many people in Britain from the 1960s onwards. Like music, food is a key to cultural interaction and mutual understanding.
Food is one of the best ways of understanding history and culture, as modern historians have come to realise, says Mary Isin and continues. Ensuring food supply is one of the main duties of any state, and so plays a crucial part in economics, trade and politics, as well as social history. Food heritage is indeed a reflection of history and culture. And food on these parts of the Mediterranean is born to be colourful and flavourful and never too simple. That is to say, it is very much representing its history and culture to this day. Ramadan truly forms a path to discover what this cuisine can offer to treat our taste buds.

Need the receipts? Us Weekly has them. Former Bachelor Chris Soules is seemingly spending the quarantine with former Bachelor contestant Victoria Fuller, if you take a close look at the pairs Instagrams.
On April 15, Us confirmed that the farmer, 38, reached out to the medical sales rep, 26, via Instagram. Chris slid into Victorias DMs, a source told Us at the time. He apparently DMs a lot of people.
Fuller first appeared on Peter Webers season of The Bachelor, coming in third place. Soules, for his part, made his Bachelor Nation debut on Andi Dorfmans season of The Bachelorette in 2014. After quickly becoming a fan favorite, he earned the title of the Bachelor for season 19. Although he got engaged to Whitney Bischoff on the finale, the two split six months later.
In December 2019, he shared that he wasnt in a hurry to find The One. I just think you know when you know, when you find it. Im getting old enough to kind of learn that its just about, like, when its time, it will occur, Soules told Us at the time. I used to [have a timeline] a long time ago, but as time goes by, Im healthy, Im semi-young, and when I meet the right person, it will be the right time.
Following blogger Reality Steves report that the two were spending time together in Soules home state, eagle-eyed fans and Us reporters started to find proof in their Instagram photos. First, the couch and pillow behind Fuller in one photo appeared to be the same behind Soules in one of his older photos.
Later, they both shared photos of fields, sharing them via Instagram Story one hour apart from each other.
Fuller has posted multiple selfies via her Instagram Story, showing a house that seems to belong to Soules. In February 2017, interior decorator and former Bachelorette Jillian Harris shared on her blog that she was renovating Soules home with Veronica Valencia.
In October 2017, Harris shared a new blog titled Renovation Series: Farmhouse Transformation. Although she didnt name Soules in the story, the blog mentioned that they worked with local designer, Roger Lake, who dove in as our project manager/contractor. Lake is located in Manchester, Iowa.
Scroll through the gallery below to see the photo proof of the pair together in Iowa.

A birdhouse showed up on the porch, unannounced.(Photo: Provided)
I hopped in my car, donned my mask and headed off as soon as I got the message.
There is a box of macarons on my porch, Anne Lutkus had texted me and a lot of other people. If you walk by, help yourself to celebrate my birthday.
When I arrived, I was relieved. There were macarons left.
Last year, when she turned 80, Anne had a party for herself, complete with fireworks. We sat on the porch of the Wadsworth Homestead in Geneseo and looked to the west as the rockets shot into the air, exploded, lit the ground below.

This year, given the fact that were all keeping away from each other because of the pandemic, there could be no fireworks, or even aparty. But there were macarons on Annes porch, there for the taking.
Porches used to be for sitting. Now theyre for drop-offs and pickups no-contact connections that make isolation tolerable.
As Ive written, our side porch is a jigsaw puzzle exchange station. Friends call, put an order in for a 500-piece, not-so-hard puzzle or a 1,000-piece head-scratcher. My wife, Cindy Schmitt, sets one out of the porch. Its gone; another puzzle is there in its place.
We have quite a few puzzles to lend, as a masked lady from Avon showed up after my column on jigsaw puzzles and left us 10 or so, just like that. We thanked her as she hustled back to her car.
The gift was prompted by a previous column about license-plate spotting.(Photo: Provided)
One afternoon, I looked out on the side porch and there was a birdhouse made of license plates. It was there, Im sure, in reaction to a column Id written on how, given constrictions on travel, Cindy and I missed looking for license plates from other states as we drive.
There was no note with the license-plate birdhouse, but From the shop of Ken Richardson was stamped on the post. Ken lives around the corner from us. I didnt know he made birdhouses. Now I do.
Other items show up on our porch. We open the door and see groceries, masks, books proof that we are not alone, that kindness continues, indeed flourishes, in times like this.
There can be no fireworks; there can be no parties. But there can be puzzles and birdhouses. And there can be macarons, right there on Annes porch. I took two.

A white cabinet sits on the front porch of the Joseph L. Davis American Legion Post 47 in Havre de Grace, Md. It was placed there in March as a way to serve post and community members affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Post 47s Pantry on the Porch has kept a steady supply of non-perishable food and toiletry items for any community member in need. The pantry is self-service, open 24/7 and continually stocked thanks to donations, including monetary, from the community and Legion Family members.
Anybody can come in here and get food. We dont want anybody to go hungry during this coronavirus pandemic, said Alma Orive, post adjutant and Hartford County vice commander. People have sent a lot of thank you notes saying, We really appreciate having a food pantry here since we are short of cash right now.
Orive advertises about the food pantry almost daily on Post 47s Facebook page, including when food is running low and what items are specifically needed to be restocked. We appreciate all of the donations our community has made, she said. Pallets of food have been donated from the local Vintage Caf and radio station 104.7, while homemade soups with fresh vegetables are being canned and placed in the pantry thanks to a community member who donated four boxes of Mason jars. All thats asked of those who take soup is for the jars to be returned for reuse.
Paula Casagrande with Big House Signs created signs and stickers that said Together We Are Havre de Grace Strong. A portion of sales from the $5 apiece stickers support Post 47s food pantry. Casagrande sells the stickers at her store and people can drop a self-addressed stamped envelope in Post 47s mailbox for stickers to be sent to them. Orive said about $500 has been donated to the post from sticker sales.
The pantry has brought our community together even more, Orive said. We have a wonderful community here where everybody is pitching in and everybody is helping.
Orive also has been making masks that she places in the cabinet for taking. Shes made about 48 so far and they were gone immediately.
Besides feeding its community, Post 47 has been making Buddy Checks on its members. Orive created a flyer that was distributed to members through social media that read Because We Care About YOU and encouraged members needing any type of assistance, such as grocery shopping or transportation needs, to call the post. Orvie said even though the post is closed because of COVID-19, messages are checked regularly and phone calls returned.
Buddy Checks were divided into four lists: expired members, members with 40-plus continued membership years, Paid Up For Life members, and all others. Post Commander Mike Bush has made more than 325 calls to PUFL members and the all others list, and post member Bill Crouse has called expired members that resulted in about a third of them renewing. The members with 40-plus years are informed during the phone call that their membership dues are now paid for.
People are delighted to get the phone call and know that we care, Orive said. They have written back (on Facebook) thank you for caring. Thats important.
Orive said Post 47 has members across the United States in California, Florida, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Texas, etc., and that they are contributing donations to the pantry.
(The food pantry has) served its purpose. Its done a great job, its helped our community, she said.

A Danville resident suffered injuries and a cat died in an early Wednesday morning house fire, the Danville Fire Department reports.
Police were first dispatched at about 2:15 a.m. to129 Nelson Ave. in the northern part of the city after someone heard a person screaming for help, according to news release byBrian K. Alderson, a battalion chief with the Danville Fire Department.
Police officers arrived and found the resident on the front porch "calling out for help," Anderson reported. Officers moved the occupant off the porch to a safer spot and checked the house but did not try to go in due to smoke and heat. That's when police called for the fire department to respond.
The occupant had burns to the hands, feet, chest and experienced smoke inhalation, according to Alderson. The resident was taken to Sovah Health-Danville for treatment.
Minutes later, firefighters arrived at the one-story home to find heavy smoke inside from fire in the living room, whichwas quickly extinguished. The occupant had told crews a cat was still inside. Firefighters searched and foundthe cat, brought it outside and startedresuscitation efforts, Anderson reported. However, the cat did not survive.
While the fire was contained to the living room, smoke and heat damaged the rest of the home. Repairs must be made before the home is livable again.
The cause was ruled to be careless smoking, Alderson reported.
