Army Truck vs Monster Ford Truck Extreme Tug O War Truck Night at Yankee Lake 8-24-2012
Hillbilly Proud made its second trip to Truck Night at Yankee Lake on August 24, 2012 to cover their Extreme Tug o War Challenge. It was a great night of tug o war action that featured a huge army truck, a monster school bus, and a Winnebago camper on top of the big pulling trucks. We recommend making a trip to Brookfield, Ohio to check out Truck Night if you get the chance. They have all kinds of events every weekend that include mud bogging, tug o war, demolition derby, mechanical bull riding, concerts, and much more.From:hillbillyproudViews:9 1ratingsTime:02:05More inAutos Vehicles

Swampscott firm on Hook for $100G over asbestos violations - December 2, 2012 by Mr HomeBuilder

A Swampscott demolition company has been ordered to pay the Commonwealth $100,000 in civil penalties for the alleged improper removal and disposal of asbestos-containing waste at several locations throughout Eastern Massachusetts, including the Hook Lobster Co. building, Attorney General Martha Coakley said.

Total Dismantling and Carting Services Inc. and its successor, The Total Group Inc., both of Swampscott, violated the states Clean Air Act by repeatedly removing and disposing of asbestos-containing material without notifying the state Department of Environmental Protection that the work was going to occur, Coakley said.

A complaint also alleges that Total Dismantling and Carting Services and Removal Specialists demolished the former Hook Lobster Building in 2008 after it burned in a fire without removing all of the asbestos-containing material first and without notifying MassDEP that it was going to perform the work. Additionally, the company allegedly failed to use the proper containment procedures at the Hook Lobster demolition site and during transport to an unpermitted storage site in Revere, the complaint stated.

Violations also occurred at three other demolition sites in Saugus, Malden and Swampscott. Half of the amount in the settlement is suspended provided the companies comply with the judgment and commit no further violations during a five-year probationary period, Coakley said.

HOUSTON The demolition of the 70-year old Robertson Stadium on the campus of the University of Houston is set to begin on Dec. 2 as Manhattan Construction Company, employed as the projects construction manager, begins construction on the University of Houstons new state-of-the-art facility, set to open in August of 2014.

Manhattan Construction Company has contracted JTB Services, in a joint venture with Lindamood Demolition, to begin the Robertson Stadium demolition process on Sunday, Dec. 2.

Beginning on Dec. 2, Manhattan Construction will begin erecting construction fencing surrounding the project area and mobilizing on the southwest corner of the stadium. A vast majority of the stadium site will be fenced in by Dec. 8 with the primary construction entrance located off Scott Street.

From Dec. 2 to Dec. 9, JTB Services will strip the interior of the stadium in preparation for stadium demolition.

Major demolition activity is set to begin on Dec. 10 when the southeast concession stand is torn down, symbolizing the start of the stadium demolition. Stadium demolition is projected to last approximately six-to-eight weeks.

The University of Houston Athletics Department will have a webcam for fans to track the progress of the demolition on UHCougars.com. Fans can also view the project in person at any time from the rooftop of the stadium parking garage.

During the construction process, campus parking will be affected as approximately 2,020 student and faculty/staff parking spots will go offline by Dec. 8. An additional 120 faculty/staff spots will be impacted following the completion of the fall semester on Dec. 22. Sixty faculty/staff spaces will remain available in lot 15F for the duration of construction.

Landslip houses demolition delay - December 2, 2012 by Mr HomeBuilder

30 November 2012 Last updated at 11:31 ET

The demolition of five houses left hanging over a sheer drop following a landslip has been delayed after further earth movement.

Scarborough Council said it had abandoned plans to carry out the work during darkness as it needed to monitor the situation in daylight.

The landslide, overnight on Tuesday, has left the row of terraced houses on Aelfleda Terrace in Whitby, North Yorkshire, structurally unsafe.

Work is expected to start on Saturday.

Scarborough Borough Council said: "Initially, we wanted to do the work around the clock but risk assessments indicated it would be unsafe to do so at night time with the ground so unstable.

"It's absolutely imperative we have the ability to see any ground movement in the wider area."

The council said the houses would be taken down "piece by piece" by workers using a cherry-picker.

The terrace of fishermens' cottages, which are more than 100 years old, overlook the seaside town from the east side of the River Esk and are just a few hundred yards from the historic Whitby Abbey.

The council said the cause of the landslide was not yet known and only one of the properties had been occupied.

Landslip houses demolition begins - December 2, 2012 by Mr HomeBuilder

1 December 2012 Last updated at 05:01 ET

The "brick by brick" demolition of five houses in North Yorkshire left hanging over a sheer drop following a landslip has started.

The landslip, overnight on Tuesday, left the row of terraced houses on Aelfleda Terrace in Whitby, structurally unsafe.

Work started around 09:00 GMT as about 10 contractors moved on to the site.

Gabrielle Jandzio, of Scarborough Council, said it would be a "lengthy process" of demolition by hand.

She added: "The land that faces the harbour is potentially moving so we are having to constantly monitor the situation."

The work started at roof level on the dormer window of the house at 7 Aelfleda Terrace where two contractors using a cherry-picker have started the demolition by hand.

Ms Jandzio said the demolition could take some considerable time to complete because of the "precarious" nature of the work.

The terrace of fishermens' cottages, which are more than 100 years old, overlook the seaside town from the east side of the River Esk and are just a few hundred yards from the historic Whitby Abbey.

The council said the cause of the landslide was not yet known and only one of the properties had been occupied.
