Army Veteran Opens New Fresh Coat Painters Business in OFallon - January 29, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

OFallon, MO (PRWEB) January 28, 2015

David Anthony is looking forward to bringing the dedication he learned in the military to his new business, Fresh Coat Painters of OFallon.

Fresh Coat Painters of OFallon offers residential and commercial painting services including interior and exterior painting, wood staining and finishing, and other services for nearly every protective coating application. They use quality, environmentally safe materials and offer a 24/7 customer service center, online scheduling, in-home color design consultations, and detailed quotes. Fresh Coat of OFallon serves OFallon, Saint Peters, Saint Charles and Defiance as well as the surrounding communities.

Fresh Coat Painters offers excellent products and services as well a customer service experience thats top notch. Im excited to bring that to this community through my new business, Anthony said.

Anthony grew up in a military family before joining the Army. He recently retired after more than 20 years of service, where he spent the last eight years in counter weapons of mass destruction. Anthony found out about Fresh Coat Painters through a military job fair and was ready to launch the business as soon as he left the service.

I was ready to put down roots near family. I was a military brat and Ive been in the military throughout my life, so Ive never had roots like that and Ive never had the opportunity to be part of my community. Business ownership is such a special opportunity in America, Anthony said. Fresh Coat is a top military franchise with a significant number of franchisees with military experience. Its a company Im excited to be part of now.

Fresh Coat is committed to quality products and services and the company offers a 3-3-3 customer service pledge, so calls will be answered by a live person within three minutes, a quote will be delivered within three days (customer schedule permitting) and the job will be started within three weeks. All Fresh Coat of OFallon employees are professional painters who are insured, trained and background checked.

Anthony is married to his wife Julie and the couple has two sons, Jeffrey and Thomas. Anthony is looking forward to having Fresh Coat be part of his family.

This industry isnt going away and its something I can raise my family into and leave to my sons someday. Im also looking forward to working with my hands and being in a field that will allow me to work with my hands and get to know the painters, contractors, home builders, home owners and business people in the area, Anthony said.

While I was in the military, I worked in a variety of project management roles. Thats something Ill be able to bring to this business the ability to manage projects and ensure that our clients are fully satisfied. Im going to bring the same dedication to this business that Ive had all my life, from the Eagle Scouts to my time in the Army, he said.

Finance specialist gives 40k lending boost to Decorative Agents - January 29, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

Rochdale-based Decorative Agents has secured a 40,000 facility from a north west finance company.

The decorating supplies business, which was set up in September 2012, has received the boost from Manchester-based Positive Cashflow Finance.

Managing director Lea Wrest, who has over 20 years experience in the painting and decorating sector, now supplies a variety of decorating tools such as paint brushes, dust sheets and roller sleeves to contractors, schools, colleges and other decorating businesses.

He said waiting between 30 and 60 days for customers to pay was making cash flow tight and with being a relatively new company it was difficult to obtain credit from suppliers.

With no other funding, the 40,000 cash injection enabled them to invest in stock and improve their IT infrastructure.

Lea is vastly experienced in the sector and has built up a base of contacts that trust the goods will be of a high quality and delivered on time.

With the funding facility in place, he says he is confident that they can double turnover over the next 12 months.

He said: "We had considered other types of funding, however invoice finance seemed the most suitable for our requirements as the funding will continue to grow as our sales increase.

Phil Chesham, sales and marketing director at Positive Cashflow Finance added: "Businesses like Leas need the funding to help them smooth their cash flow as they look to expand.

We are delighted to support Lea and his business and look forward to assisting him achieve his growth plans.

New mural designed to draw eyes to Crayola Experience - January 29, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

As attention-getters go, it's difficult to beat a bright yellow and green canvas the size of a football field plus crayons that are bigger than grown men.

That's the strategy for the exterior of Crayola Experience, an interactive attraction set to open on the east end of Florida Mall in July. The space, which will also include a retail space for Crayola products, is jarringly visible from the BeachLine Expressway. The business will be taking the majority of space vacated by Nordstrom in August.

Right now, a mural featuring anthropomorphized crayons and markers is being created by a two-person crew. The characters are hand-drawn and will be placed around the entrance to Crayola Experience.

Muralist Cat Badger, who created a similar piece for the original Crayola Experience in Easton, Pa., says painting in Florida presents challenges.

"As far as the paint, it dries incredibly fast, so if were wet blending something for the three-dimensional shading, we work double fast," Badger says. "Some days its impossible."

On Wednesday, she was working on the portion of the mural with characters flying on a paper airplane. She starts with a chalk outline of the art.

"If you make a mistake you can wipe it off," Badger says. "We usually set to the wall with hairspray. Otherwise, it would eventually blow off or wash off with the rain."

The wall and entrance eventually will have three-dimensional figures interacting with the action on the wall.

Badger and her assistant Tessa Meier work 10-hour shifts and take the occasional day off, usually coinciding with rainy days. The large flat blocks of green and yellow paint were applied by contractors.

Badger owns Pennsylvania-based CB Scenic Studios and earned a bachelor's degree in two-dimensional fine arts from Moore College in Philadelphia.

Community fun day handed boost by three businesses - January 27, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

PLANS for a Worcester community fun day have been handed a big boost.

Three companies have agreed to sponsor St Peters Festival and will provide a financial contribution to the event and run stands on the day.

Edwards Motors, of Main Road, Kempsey, Dream Doors of The Tything, Worcester, and Griffiths, the contractors carrying out work on the southern link road at the Ketch roundabout, are getting involved in the community celebration.

St Peters Festival will take place on Sunday, June 28, at Power Park in Worcester.

Activities including a mammoth inflatable slide, face painting and crazy golf are being planned for the day alongside a live DJ, Morris dancers and barbecue food.

A number of local schools have also been approached to see if their children would like to entertain the crowds with musical performances on the day.

Councillor Brenda Wheeler, of St Peters Parish Council, which is planning the festival, told Your Worcester News last year: There will be fun and entertainment for the community and we want the day to be open to everyone in St Peters.

It will bring people closer together and help residents make friends with their neighbours.

With all that is going on with the road works near St Peters the festival will give people something to look forward to.
