Linden Jeff Peake knows water. As a plumber and pipefitter by trade, Peake installed his own plumbing system when he built his house in Creek Wood Colony condominiums eight years ago. So when a faucet and a toilet cannot run water simultaneously within his house, Peake knows that its a problem that needs to be addressed.
I put the plumbing in it so I could run the washing machine and still take a shower at the same time, Peake told the Linden City Council Monday. When I flush a toilet in the house, you can barely get any water out of the kitchen sink. The water pressure in that house is terrible.
Interim City Manager/Police Chief Scott Sutter said city officials are currently in the process of hiring HRC as the citys engineering firm. Water pressure is within the firms areas of expertise.
They have done projects such as this, Sutter told Peake. It was one of the key issues that we talked about.
The city council is also seeking bids of engineering firms to address technical services for Stan Eaton Water Tower.
Mayor David Lossing told Peake to have his neighbors contact city workers if they too are having problems with water pressure. City Councilor Ray Culbert expressed interest in conducting a water capacity study in the near future in order to ensure residents are getting the proper water pressure throughout the city.
If something doesnt change with it, Im looking at putting a booster pump system its so bad, Peake said. It seems kind of ridiculous, were across the street from the water tower.
City council said they will address the water pressure issue and will be in contact with Peake.

A young plumber died because an electrician failed to wire up a washing machine socket correctly, it was claimed in court.
The earth and live cables into the socket were mixed up and when plumber Danny Edwards, 23, fitted the washing machine he was electrocuted.
"This was a very tragic accident at work and the loss of a young man with all the effects you can imagine on his family and his partner," prosecutor Rupert Lowe told Gloucester Crown Court. "It was an accident which did not need to happen."
Mr Edwards, of Fishponds, Bristol, who was on the verge of fatherhood at the time of the tragedy, was working for Bristol-based Birakos Enterprises when he was killed on March 19, 2008. The company, which has since gone into administration, denies two charges failing to ensure Mr Edwards' safety at work, and failing to discharge its duties under the Control of Electricity Regulations. No one from Birakos Enterprises is attending the trial and neither the firm nor the administrators are legally represented. Mr Edwards' father Paul and his partner Cheralyn Williams are present for the hearing.

Initiated by the World Plumbing Council and supported enthusiastically by the Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors of America, we celebrate the important role plumbing plays in the health and safety of modern society. History shows that great leaps in humankinds advancement both physically and socially have been tied to advances in plumbing technology.
The safety and abundance of drinking water is, of course, a concern for most people all over the world, but what is not often emphasized is the work the plumbing industry contributes every day to alleviate these concerns. We would like you to help in bringing a better understanding of the largely misunderstood role plumbers play in keeping everyone safe and healthy each and every day.

KUALA LUMPUR: A 70-year-old plumber has filed an application for a judicial review in the High Court over his failure to obtain a MyKad.
R. Kolandavaloo filed the application through his lawyers M. Manoharan & Co Thursday.
In the application, he named the Home Minister, the National Registration Department (NRD) director-general and the Government as respondents.
He is seeking a certiorari order to quash the NRD director-general's decision dated Sept 9, 2011 which did not grant him citizenship.
Additionally, he is seeking a mandamus order directing the respondents to issue a citizenship certificate and a MyKad to him.
Kolandavalan is also seeking a declaration that the director-general's decision was ultra-vires and not valid under the law.
In a letter he received dated Sept 9, 2011, the NRD stated that his application for citizenship under article 16 of the Federal Constitution had been rejected on grounds that the applicant was not well-behaved.
He is also seeking for a declaration that he had been registered as a Malaysian citizen under the law.
Kolandavalan has a birth certificate stating that he was born in Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang on July 29, 1943.
He was married to a Malaysian citizen and his four siblings are Malaysian citizens.
