Venue With Flooring Installation by Medallion Named Indoor Track Facility of the Year by ASBA

MOORESVILLE, N.C., Dec. 11, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- JDL Fast Track, an indoor track facility with flooring surfaces installed by Medallion Athletic Products, has been named Indoor Track Facility of the Year by the American Sports Builders Association. This marks the first time that a Medallion project has received the highest honor in an ASBA award category. The facility also took top honors for Indoor Track Facility in the Distinguished Track Facilities category.

ASBA, of which Medallion is a member, is the national organization for builders, designers and suppliers of materials for athletic facilities. Awards are presented each year to facilities built by ASBA members that best exemplify construction excellence. The 2012 awards were presented at the ASBA Technical Meeting in Orlando, Fla., last week. A panel of ASBA members anonymously judged entries. Projects were scored individually based on considerations such as layout and design, site work, drainage, base construction, surface, amenities, innovation and overall impression. Winning entries' cumulative scores met or exceeded the standard.
