Introducing 24/7 Kitchen Remodeling Online Access

    - October 30, 2013 by Mr HomeBuilder

Rockville, Maryland (PRWEB) October 30, 2013

Kitchen remodeling is never easy as John Murray owner of Counter Intelligence put it. Our goal is to make the entire process as smooth and hassle-free as possible for the home owner. We want to be completely transparent with all the work we perform. There are just so many things that can go wrong and cause unwanted delays for the family, and we want to avoid that by providing our customers with complete control over the progress, says John. We know how scary it is when you are not hearing back from your contractor. We know exactly how it feels when you are not getting a call back. Not with us, said Phil Sales Manager at CI.

Counter Intelligence is a kitchen remodeling Maryland based company and has been around since 1986. For the past few years remodeling any home living space, whether large or small, has been on the rise. More and more families are jumping on the home improvement wagon. We believe in part this has to do with the growth of the US economy since the recession, says John. It is also important to note that for the past five to ten years, telecommuting (working from home) has also been on the rise. This alone means moms and dads are spending more time around the house, so wanting to use the gas savings on making their living space more comfortable is only logical.

Kitchen and Bathroom remodeling are two of the most common places in any home to get improved, but because the kitchen wins with the highest amount of traffic from family members, replacing the surface tops with granite countertops is also among the most requested services in the Washington DC metropolitan areas.

Counter Intelligence is a full home improvement and remodeling company with its headquarter in Silver Spring Maryland, with design showrooms in Maryland and Northern Virginia. CI also has also has four different locations for granite slab viewing including Long Island City New York, Seaford Delaware, Rockville Maryland and Springfield Virginia.

You can get in touch with Counter Intelligence by visiting their website or simply by calling the main office number at (301) 589-5321.

    - October 30, 2013 by Mr HomeBuilder

ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 29, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Three former Indianapolis 500 starters visited the Window World, Inc.(R) booth at the West Coast Franchise Expo last week in Anaheim, Ca., to sign The Stinger, a modern day centennial tribute to the first winning Indy 500 car, the 1911 Marmon Wasp.

A photo accompanying this release is available at http://www.globenewswire.com/newsroom/prs/?pkgid=21892

Anaheim was The Stinger's latest stop on a nationwide tour to obtain signatures from each of the 274 living Indy 500 starters, dating from 1949 to 2011, whose names are laid out on the vehicle's graphics package. During the three-day event, Window World hosted Alex Barron, George Mack, and Billy Scott at its booth for the car signings. "It is an honor to be a part of this legacy and support such a worthy cause," said Alex Barron about his signing. George Mack added, "I am thrilled to be involved with this mission and to work with John Andretti, Window World and Window World Cares."

Window World Cares(R), Window World's philanthropic foundation benefitting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital(R), makes a donation of $189 for each signature. The three additional signatures from the West Coast Franchise Expo bring the current total to 236 driver signings and $44,604. The car will be auctioned at a later date, with proceeds supporting St. Jude's mission of finding a cure for childhood cancer and other catastrophic illnesses. Billy Scott commented on the project, "The Stinger represents more than the first 100 years of racing at the Indy 500, it represents hope for the children of St. Jude and their families."

Window World attended the event, known as the largest franchise expo in the west, to meet potential new franchisees interested in becoming part of America's Largest Replacement Window and Residential Remodeling Company. Attendees had the chance to speak with top Window World executives face-to-face to learn more about current franchising opportunities.

West Seneca residents angry about tree removal at subdivision site

    - October 30, 2013 by Mr HomeBuilder

The removal of hundreds of trees from a West Seneca homebuilders site, and the outrage its evoking from neighbors, has the Town Board looking at measures to mitigate such a controversy in the future.

Following Mondays board meeting, during which several residents demanded that the town block further work on phase three of Camelot Square, west of Angle Road, lawmakers emerged from an executive session with a three-pronged resolution.

Introduced by Councilman John M. Rusinski, the resolution requires the notification of adjoining residents when requests for preliminary and final subdivision approval are pending before the town Planning Board. Such notification typically is reserved for rezoning and special permit requests.

Additionally, Councilman Eugene P. Hart said information will be obtained from municipalities with tree ordinances to see whether its appropriate for the Town of West Seneca.

And Supervisor Sheila M. Meegan said lawmakers will take a serious look at a retree initiative for the residents affected by the Camelot Square project.

But by the time the executive session ended, most of the residents who had complained about developer Eugene Piotrowskis project had left Town Hall.

I made that motion simply because the residents of the town have a right to know when somethings coming to their neighborhood, Rusinski said afterward. Had that been in place, then I think, instead, we would be looking at this in a different light.

Residents have been complaining about tree removal at the planned 55-lot subdivision since work began last month.

Minutes from the June 13 Planning Board meeting, where the final plat was unanimously approved, indicate that at least one board member noted the abundance of trees on the west side of the site and asked that as many as possible be saved. The developers engineer said, They will not clear-cut the property and will preserve as many trees as possible.

But Town Board members said the intent wasnt specific from either the Planning Board or the developer about saving existing trees.

Paul Hollywood Admits He Sheds The Pounds When Filming 'The Great British Bake Off' As He Gets So Stressed

    - October 30, 2013 by Mr HomeBuilder

You'd think with all those cakes, pies and sweet treats that Paul Hollywood would pile on the pounds while he films 'The Great British Bake Off' but it's quite the opposite according to the star

Despite the culinary temptations on offer, Paul has admitted he actually sheds the weight - thanks to stress.

The fourth series of 'Bake Off', judged by Hollywood and Mary Berry, attracted record ratings.

But Hollywood did not enjoy the same success in the US, where 'The American Baking Competition', broadcast this summer, was axed due to poor ratings.

The 47-year-old told the Radio Times: "I stress out. I've lost a stone and a bit in the past eight months just through work."

The baker, who left his wife of 15 years Alexandra, 49, earlier this year, said he does not deliberately watch his weight but he is careful about what he eats in the evenings.

"I tend to eat more in the day. In the evening I drink lots of water and try not to eat anything heavy after six o'clock," he said.

Hollywood's 'Bake Off' colleague Mel Giedroyc, who hosts the contest with fellow comic Sue Perkins, has said she puts on weight every year when she presents the BBC2 show, which is moving to BBC1 next year.

"I've put on a good 11lb every series. The first couple of episodes it's 'No thank you, not for me'. Cut to the semi-final and we're hoofing up whole quiches," she has admitted.
