Private Jet Crash Caught On Cam in Brazil
The terrifying moment a plane skidded off the runway and through a retaining wall right next to a busy highway has been caught on camera. . According to the Herald Sun, the captain suffered serious injuries in the crash, but his two passengers escaped unharmed. CCTV Captures Terrifying Brazil Plane Crash - Video

As construction is being completed on the 10 Freeway between Redlands and Yucaipa, a symbol recently installed on retaining walls in the area is being noticed by drivers passing by.

The symbol - located on the retaining wall adjacent to the 10 between both cities, and looks either like a sun and its rays or a spider to some - has been on the minds of many who have contacted Sanbag officials with questions.

On the receiving end of those inquires is Jane Dreher, public information officer for Sanbag.

The wall in question is part of a collaboration effort between Sanbag and Caltrans' widening of the freeway between the two cities.

Construction began in 2004, and is on its final phase of several projects in the area, Dreher said.

The first phase was completed in 2005, followed by the second in 2007 and in the third in 2009.

Construction on the current phase - and last - broke ground on March 8, 2011, with costs totalling $26.2 million.

Officials with Sanbag and Caltrans wanted to incorporate local history in the planning stages of artwork to be featured. They were looking for the artwork to have significance to the area, said Dreher.

"So, a Caltrans designer incorporated the geoglyph artwork into the design," she said.

A sample of the artwork was presented to the public at a meeting held in February 2011.
