Doobek builders is a company that cares so much about their customers. This was the biggest factor in choosing Doobek. Always making sure we are on track and know everything that is going on. From our first meeting with Mike, we loved how he represented the company. He is pleasant to work with, knowledgeable, has a great team that is hardworking and experienced. We added a master bedroom and a bathroom to the back of our house. Mike gave us ideas and was really involved in the whole process. We WILL definitely 100% recommend them to anyone that is looking for a good, honest, friendly, caring company. Thank you SO much Doobek, you really made our dream bedroom come to life and more!
AMAZING!! We cannot say enough good things about Doobek!! Working with Mike made this process enjoyable. We have been wanting to expand our master bedroom for quite a while now and we finally decided to go with it. Our master bedroom needed some work, not only was it small in size but didn't feel like a master bedroom. Mike helped us design the space and offered ideas we didn't even think about. Mike came over and gave us a free estimate, we immediately knew he was the one to go with because he was so honest and friendly to us. He met our basic needs and way beyond them, checking on the job frequently and even after it was completed. If you are not sure which company to go with because I've heard a lot of bad stories with other companies, I can guarantee you, if you go with Doobek you are in good hands. Oh, and we love our new bedroom!
We worked with Aviv and his crew and subs for over a year on the major remodel of our Los Feliz duplex, and it came out gorgeous. They tore the whole property down to the studs, put in all new floors, tile, walls, two kitchens, 4 bathrooms, insulation, sandblasted the exterior, new stucco, and a new stucco fence on the exterior, etc. It was a massive project, and of course there was some issues that came up, but I've never worked with anyone as responsive and reliable as Aviv. Felipe, the main foreman we worked with, was also astoundingly good-natured, fast, and expert as well.
We were looking to add a guest room to the back of the house and do some remodeling to our home. After meeting with many different companies and doing a lot of research we decided to go with Doobek. I am one that researches A LOT before choosing a company and Doobek definitely stood out to me. If you are anything like me, the top most important thing when it comes to a construction company is honestly and quality. These are two aspects that Doobek definitely had and they showed it to us from the start. If you are looking for the best construction company out there then you do not need to look any further. We are soooo excited for our new guest house and upgraded home!
Mike at Doobek Builders really treated us like family. They took care of everything from getting permits to finishing touches on the house. We just bought a house and it needed a lot of work done since it was built in the 70's. We decided to add a guest bedroom, completely redo our kitchen and remodel two of our bathrooms. This was a big project so we knew it was going to take time and patience. Honestly, the whole thing went by so smoothly and it's all thanks to Mike and his team. We can tell he actually cares about us and the project and even gave us design ideas. They would constantly stay in contact, make sure we are on the same page and always left the area clean. We love our new home and are so happy with how it turned out.
Doobek Builders did a room addition to our house, it was clear that additions are their specialty. This is our first time remodeling so we were new to the process, Aviv, our project manager took care of everything and it went smoothly. We are really satisfied with the results and are so happy we went with them. They were always on time, honest and open to ideas and questions we had. We knew we wanted to add another bedroom to our house but were not really sure about the specifics. They shared their ideas while working with ours, they truly know how to work with their customers which made this whole experience so much easier. We heard stories in the past about companies surprising customers with hidden fees which results in paying more for the project than originally planned. The price we agreed on was the same from beginning to end. If you are looking for a trustworthy and dedicated company then we recommend Doobek Builders 100%
We hired Doobek to do some major renovations to our house. We have done minor remodeling before so we had an idea of how this process should work. We called and scheduled an estimate, first, our project manager Aviv was on time, professional and very friendly. During the estimate he gave us ideas and showed us pictures of previous jobs they have done. This was something that really helped us put our vision together. It was nice because he was professional yet very personable, we shared good conversations and we knew we were in good hands. We decided that we are going to expand our kitchen and re-do it all. We also took some walls down in the living room in order to create an open floor plan. They truly made this whole process fun for us. It all went smoothly, we definitely will call Doobek again for our future projects and recommend them to friends and family!
I've been meaning to write a review for a little while now so I am happy I finally got to it. I decided to go with Doobek Builders back in November for multiple reasons. From our initial meeting I could tell that Doobek is a genuine company that really cares. Since I wasn't too familiar with the system, it was important for me to go with a good company. Doobek is exactly what I needed, timely, honest, informative and hard working. We did a few things to our house, we expanded the kitchen and added a family room with a bathroom. We love our new kitchen and our spacious family room. It truly made a difference in our life style, we now actually enjoy cooking in our new kitchen. The process went smoothly because we knew we were in good hands. Our project manager, Mike, would check on the job daily and made sure all of our questions were answered. Thank you Doobek for our new upgraded home!
Doobek Builders is the best construction company in LA!!! We recently added an upstairs master bedroom and expanded/remodeled our kitchen completely. Our project manager Joseph was fantastic from start to finish. He answered all of our questions, gave helpful suggestions, fixed issues with no questions asked along the way. He came in on budget and under the timeframe he originally quoted. Our foreman Fabian was amazing as well. His crew was top notch, hard working, and kept the construction site clean throughout the whole process. The quality of the work was pristine and the final product was exactly what we wanted. I can't say enough good things about Doobek, Joseph and Fabian. I would refer and have referred them to anyone who is looking for the best contractors in Los Angeles!
Talk about being completely satisfied, that I am. I found Aviv to be very personable and knowing his profession well. He and his workers undertook my Reno and went above and beyond to make my experience stress free. He was very professional in all aspects of my 3 1/2 month job. My two bathrooms were enlarged which came out spectacular. My master closet is wall to wall and the laundry now inside. The contract was straight forward and adhered to. I highly recommend Doobek Builders if you want a great job the way you want. They deserve more than a 10.
Aviv and his crew just finished up a complete tear down and rebuild of my master bathroom and I very satisfied with the outcome. The crew worked 6 days a week and completed the project in a swift manner with a quality result. Aviv was helpful to answer my questions throughout the project and immediately addressed all requests from me. I am happy with my experience working with Doobek Builders.
I got about four estimates before I met Mike A general contractor very professional and knows his business, felt very comfortable talking with him after a few minutes I sign the contract because it was the most reasonable price, and know after three weeks the job is done I have a new remodel bathroom and it's so beautiful I'm so happy I will recommend him to all my friends And thank you so much Janice J,
We contacted doobek builders to do a kitchen remodling, add 3 skylights and change the floor carpet into hardwood floor. It tooked a bit longer than planed, partially because of the material delay we got but we are so happy about the results. Joseph really took good care of our demands and was very responsive when they was a problem. The finitions are very well done and our home now very pretty. We recommand them.
My wife and I hired Doobek to complete a complete a master suite renovation / addition for our house. This involved the demolition / expansion of an existing bathroom, a new walk-in closet, and a 170 sf expansion of the house for the master bedroom. Our project manager, Joseph, and the leader of the construction crew, Felipe, were top notch and very easy to deal with. They were very professional and did an excellent job with the construction. The crew was at our house on time every day and often worked on Saturdays to meet deadlines for inspection. Any problems that came up were addressed immediately by the team and the entire project was completed on budget and ahead of schedule. We are incredibly happy with the way the project came out. We would highly recommend Doobek for any home renovation or addition projects.
Doobek made our dream kitchen come true! Being the foodie that I am, I spend most of my time in the kitchen. The remodeling that Mike did for us was exactly what we needed. His team did not just turn our vision into a reality but they also understood the needs of the room, which is not too big. They created space where there was none, and put color to where it was gloomy and dark. We're planning to renovate one of our bedrooms, and they'll definitely do the job for us again! Thanks!!!
Doobek did an awesome job with our house. We had a room addition, bathroom, closests, and a converted room to a nursery. We are very pleased with the work done. Our contractor Joseph did an excellent job. He was easy to get a hold of and made us feel very comfortable with the work being done. The crew was also great to work with. They were open with all our suggestions and provided good pointers to make our house perfect. We highly recommend Doobek to all our friends and family. We definitely look forward to working with them again.
Thank you Doobek for a great job. I wanted to do a room addition for my mother that moved in with us and I called Doobek to schedule a meeting to discuss the project. Mike was very nice on the phone and we set up a meeting with Joseph. He was very punctual, polite, and warm. Joseph was very professional in his explanation of the process of the project. We decided to hire Doobek to do the project for us and they did an awesome job. I will recommend them to all of my family and friends, especially working with Joseph as the project manager 🙂
I am currently having my entire house remodeled: kitchen, living room, den, back porch, bathroom, bedrooms, all the wiring in the house and the fuse switch box are being upgraded and replaced, my patio is being rebuilt and even areas of my foundation needed reinforcement. I am also having a new bathroom addition built. A daunting task, perhaps too much I thought. Not for Doobek. Project manager Joseph Z showed me all the confidence I needed to see to turn this project over to him. Amazingly, even though this project is still a work in progress as I write this review, I have had very little questions as Joseph has made it a point to explain everything to me. Because of Joseph I know what the construction guys are working on, how they are working on it and why they are doing what they are doing. Joseph arranged for the architect to design the plans, oversaw the blueprints getting approved by the city and got all the building permits needed. There has been just a ton of building inspectors coming to my house and they have signed off at each stage of construction. The construction crew has been a joy to be with. They are funny, playful, respectful and man o man do they hustle. I have dropped in to see them in the morning and later in the afternoon I am just in awe over how much work they have accomplished. They are highly professional and I can see that they take a lot of pride in their work. I cannot ask for more. Doobek is a good company, project manage Joseph is professional and intelligent and yet one of the friendliest guys you will meet, and I cannot speak high enough about the construction crew. Would I recommend these guys? Absolutely.
Call me crazy. Three months ago I decided to remodel not one, but BOTH baths in my condo. Not simple remodels either. Take everything back to the studs, reassign functions like installing a 40" round jacuzzi spa tub in a room that previously had a standard walk-in shower. New everything! The inconveniences this would create would be challenging, so I needed to find a contractor who understood what I wanted. After reading Yelp reviews of Doobek, I decided to give them a call. I'm glad I did. From the first phone call to the final walk-through, Mike, Omer, Efraim and the entire Doobek team handled themselves with a level of professionalism and commitment to quality I've never seen. Our first meeting lasted several hours. I have a degree in Architecture and work for one of America's top home builders so I drew up some preliminary designs and shared my ideas with Omer Barel. At that first meeting, Omer provided me with a breakdown of how long the remodels would take to complete, when payment would be due at each phase, what would be required of me (selecting tile and paint, purchasing sinks and fixtures, etc.), AND what the total project would cost. Yes...what they quote you is what you pay! This was a surprise to me because, if you've ever remodeled, you KNOW that there are always hidden surprises once you start opening up walls. Omer assured me that there would be no hidden fees working with Doobek. Once the work began, the team did an amazing job working in our home. Two bathrooms in different areas of a condo COULD have turned into a dust nightmare. But every day, they put down AND pulled up plastic. Cleaned to where some days it looked like they hadn't been there. Once the projects were completed, the final cleaning made our home sparkle like new. One comment Omer made repeatedly during the project "I want you to be happy." He meant it. There were some challenging moments during the project (none due to Doobek) and Omer offered quick solutions and time-saving alternatives to ensure the project would still be completed to our satisfaction. OUR satisfaction! You'll have a difficult time finding that commitment anywhere else. Do yourself a favor. Read ALL the positive reviews others have left and trust Doobek with your home remodeling project(s). Like me, you'll be happy you did.
If you're looking for an honest, hard-working contractor that you can trust, look no further. Believe me, we've looked. My wife and I have had the privilege of working with Omer Barel, Project Manager for Doobek. From day one, Omer has conducted himself in a professional manner and has had our best interest in mind. He has been so patient and kind, answering every single one of our millions of questions and hypotheticals. After multiple encounters, phone calls and emails, Omer submitted us a very fair proposal for the remodel of our bathroom, kitchen, patio, landscape and other areas of the house. For the scope of work, you will not find a better offer. If you're thinking of remodeling, give Doobek a chance and ask for Omer. I promise he won't let you down.

Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are buildings dedicated to be a House of the Lord, and they are considered by church members to be the most sacred structures on earth. Upon completion, temples are usually open to the public for a short period of time (an "Open House"). During the Open House, the church conducts tours of the temple with missionaries and members from the local area serving as tour guides, and all rooms of the temple are open to the public. The temple is then dedicated as a "House of the Lord," after which only members in good standing are permitted entrance; temples are not churches but are places of worship. There are 154 operating temples (which includes 3 previously dedicated, but closed for renovation), 12 under construction, and 11 announced (not yet under construction).
In 1832, shortly after the formation of the church, Joseph Smith said that the Lord desired the saints build a temple;[1] and they completed the Kirtland Temple in 1836. Initially, the church constructed temples in areas where there were large concentrations of members: Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Hawaii (all in the USA), and Alberta (Canada). In the mid 20th century, because of the importance of temples in the theology, the church tried to balance density with the travel requirements attending the temple imposed upon members. Thus, temples were built in Europe (namely, Switzerland dedicated in 1955 and England dedicated in 1958); the Pacific Islands (namely, New Zealand dedicated in 1958); and Washington, D.C.(dedicated in 1974, the first American temple East of Utah since Nauvoo in 1846). All were dedicated at a time when membership in the region alone might not have justified the effort.
In the 1980s, Spencer W. Kimball directed the church to build smaller temples with similar designs[2] allowing temples to be built where there were fewer members. As a result, the first temples in South America (Brazil dedicated in 1978); Asia (Japan dedicated in 1980); and Central America (Mexico City dedicated in 1983) were built and the number of temples doubled from 15 to 36.
Church president Gordon B. Hinckley (19102008) also accelerated the construction of temples through the use of an even smaller standardized base design.[3] In 1998, when there were 51 temples, Hinckley set a goal to have 100 temples in place before the end of 2000.[4] Between the brief building period from 1998 to 2001, 38 of these standardized temples were constructed and dedicated, meeting Hinckley's goal by having 102 dedicated temples before 2000 closed. During Hinckley's service as president, the number of temples more than doubled from 47 to 124.[5]
Note: Numbering of temples announced or under construction is tentative (which is indicated by placing the numbers in italics) and based upon the groundbreaking date, or the date of announcement if no groundbreaking has taken place. Permanent numbering may change depending upon the date of dedication.
The following is a list of temples that had been announced and in some stage of development, but whose construction is no longer being pursued.

We will help you select the right type for your installation, based on the design of the project, the surroundings and landscaping.
Additional detailed information about the types of patio materials and our construction techniques can be seen below the gallery simply press the Read More button.
Come see our outdoor display of a wide variety of patio materials, colors and styles. Our Outdoor Living Experts will be happy to explain the benefits of the different materials and construction techniques available, and show them to you. This is the best way to get the information that you need to start your outdoor living project.
Deck and Patio Company offers a Lifetime Warranty on our Premium installation option for those homeowner would rather build it once and build it right. The way we build it is simple. We use time test, engineer approved construction methods that allow our work to last a lifetime. The Deck and Patio Company can enhance the look of both the front and back of your residence through the use of brick, natural stone, pavers and other landscaping materials. Brickwork and stonework have adopted new trends over the last few years. In fact, The Deck and Patio has earned 7 national awards from the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute. These awards signify the superior design ability and competence of installation by Deck and Patios team of construction experts.
Our abilities to use the proper materials for the effect intended, comes from knowledge gained over the years. This experience also earned us certification with the ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute). We currently have 3 ICPI certified builders on staff. Using the proper color and shading of brick and stone to complement your residence are important considerations. We also take the texture and shape of the materials into account so they provide a natural look in their setting.
From walkways to patios built into their natural surroundings, we work with the site and natures intent. Our construction looks like it belongs there. Whether your taste calls for the a natural stone texture like Cambridge Ledgestone XL or the innovative shapes and styles of Techo-Blocs product line, The Deck and Patio can create a design to suit your taste palette.
Driveways are being replaced by paving stone construction giving a warm, inviting look. They provide a look of class and distinction to your home. They are durable and long lasting because they are made of high quality materials. We choose the best materials since the cost differences are so small.
We use paving stones like Techo-Bloc, Belgard and Cambridge to capture the natural look without the problems such as heat retention and deterioration during the freeze and thaw conditions. Techo-Bloc, Belgard and Cambridge come in matching components including pavers, walls, caps, steps and risers which allows for the ability of tying large areas into the color and design scheme.
All of our patios can be laid out in a variety of arrangements such as random which incorporates multiple paver sizes configured in a pattern. Elegant accents are created through the use of interesting borders and inlays. In addition to the durability of our installation, its beauty will be unsurpassed through the use of a blend of stone colors, which can help convey the attractive look you seek.
The use of capstone for pool coping and steps convey a natural look and the colors of Techo-Bloc and Cambridge, blend beautifully with our natural moss rock boulders and landscaping. In order to maintain that beauty, we apply stabilizer sand to the joints, which prevents weeds and grass seeds from sprouting up through the surface. If you are looking for something other than paving stones, we also offer a variety of natural stone such as bluestone patios, which are installed in a manner similar to pavers. We lay the bluestone over crushed stone with stabilized joints allowing for easy repairs without the replaced or patched up look because we do not use traditional mortar. Our building techniques and designs are so efficient and attractive that photographs of our installations were chosen for the pages of the Cambridge and Techo-Bloc distribution brochures.
In the swimming pool world there is a myth that you must wait 3 12 months for the soil to settle around a pool and then safely install a patio around that swimming pool. This will not happen! Our engineers have confirmed that soil takes 50 years for soil to completely self compact. Most contractor either ignore this reality or try to bridge this settling soil with poured concrete. Neither method works (see photo->). Our FAST TRACK POOL INSTALLATION allows our artisans to lay your patio immediately after their pool has been installed without the possibility of settling occurring. The Deck and Patio Company uses a time tested method approved by our engineers to compact the soil around the pool in layers (lifts) to eliminate the fluff in the soil and allow our patios to be built immediately rather wait months or years or risk patio failure at the pool.
We take lifetime installation very seriously, and the materials and methods do cost more. The result, however, is an installation that is trouble free and beautiful for a lifetime. Once the sub base has been properly compacted, our prep crew starts the most important part of our installationthe base preparation. We use PURE recycled concrete aggregate which cost much more but compacts and consolidates much more. Other low cost installers use low quality RCA (recycled construction aggregate) which consists of crushed dirt, asphalt, brick, tile, glass, concrete, and other unknown contaminants and use only 4- 5 inches of this low quality base. The high quality base used exclusively by the Deck and Patio Company gives the patio the strength and durability that allows a lifetime guarantee. Next step is the C-33 coarse angular sand bedding course that the pavers rest on. Additionally once our pavers are installed we install polymer sand in the joint of the pavers to reduce water infiltration, reduce or eliminate weed and grass from growing in the joints and help reduce the possibility of ants from tunneling through the sand. The last step is our robust concrete edge restraint, which is poured in place with a #3 rebar embedded to eliminate the possibility of edge creep or failure. These processes as a group allow us to insure you installation will last a lifetime
We only recommend paver brands that stand behind their products. We recommend:
Cambridge Pavers because of their Armor-Tec finish. Cambridge in know for high quality, great support from the company, lower cost, unique colorful stone textures, and interesting patterns
Techo Bloc because of their realistic matching natural stone colors. Techo Bloc is known to us as one of the first companies to make matching materials in all of their patios, walls, steps, and accessories. They have been trend setters and continue to push the envelope by introducing new emerging produces that meet new interests. Their current products are not only natural looking material, but modern, contemporary, traditional and rustic. Techo Bloc has pavers that have a wood texture to them and interesting ideas for mosaics, borders and inlays. Techo Bloc is also know for their many permeable paver options including inflo made to be a cost effective solution for parking lots and large paved areas.
Belgard is one of the larger paver manufacturers with plants across the country. They are known for unique paving and wall products. We like a several of their products including their natural looking stone pattern called Mega Arbel, and their wide range or permeable pavement.
Unilock is one of the first concrete pavers our company ever installed. This company has its roots in Canada and has been a major supplier for a long time. Unilock is known for its unique architectural pavers with interesting textures, and shape that are not like any other. There are many modern and contemporary applications that we use these pavers for.
Innovative products like Permeable Pavers offer the designed outdoor space you want, with the added benefit of water management.
Permeable interlocking concrete pavers (PICP) are installed with layers of varying-sized stone or aggregate underneath, that filter and direct storm water to underground aquifers. Permeable paving mimics the way natural land absorbs water. Which means any rain that falls on your patio, walkway or driveway seeps back into the ground or the nearest storm drain.
The surface of Permeable pavers can be made perfectly flat, with the underlying stone reservoir being contoured to direct water wherever it needs to go. In fact, with a few added design features, the system can be used for water harvesting, with water being usable for irrigation or washing your car.
Benefits to homeowners
Benefits to communities
Permeable Pavers and the RainXchange System can be used underneath permeable pavers as a means of capturing storm water. A liner membrane beneath the permeable pavers collects the water and directs it towards the storage basin. Water features can be incorporated directly on top of the permeable pavers providing a truly unique design element

Key check points when having flooring installed by Nebraska Furniture Mart's Professional Flooring Installers:
At the time of sale we will estimate the approximate size and cost of your installation. The total cost may vary due to adjustments in yardage and/or additional labor charges.
Our measurers will call the morning of the measure by 12 noon. Read more about our measure policy.
Before we order any products to install your floor, we must have your verbal approval on the exact sizes and costs associated with your job. If youve not been contacted within two days after your measure, please call our Flooring Service Department at 402-392-3490 or 1-800-359-1200, extension 23490. If price approval is delayed, your order will not be placed and your installation might not proceed as scheduled. Scheduled installation dates are based on carpet availability and subject to change.
Take-up, removal, stairs, metal trim, subfloor prep or furniture moving may require extra labor service charges. Please understand that installers will only perform work shown on the work order. Any extra work required during installation that has not been discussed with your sales associate and written on the work order, will require additional charges.
To make way for your new carpet and pad, you will need to remove your wall-to-wall carpet and pad. Please leave the tack strip down and remove remaining pad staples. Upon request, we will take up and dispose of the existing carpet and pad for a modest charge. Installers will only dispose of carpet they take up.
If Nebraska Furniture will be moving your furniture, please remove all breakable items first. Disconnect any wiring such as stereo and TV wires. In bedrooms, please strip beds and remove all items from the tops of dressers and bottoms of closets. In kitchen and utility rooms please disconnect the washer, dryer, refrigerator and all gas appliances. Nebraska Furniture Mart installers are not responsible for disconnecting or reconnecting these items. NFM Installers WILL NOT dismantle or move waterbeds, grandfather clocks, antiques or any items requiring calibration or any item that a two-man crew is incapable of moving.
Please be sure the power is on for the installers electrical tools, and the temperature in the house is 69 degrees, 24 hours prior to installation. Installers will call the morning of the installation between 7am and 10 am.
When inspecting your new carpet, it could appear slightly different in texture or color due to normal dye lot differences from the display sample in the store. Newly installed carpet, when exposed to normal vacuuming, will blossom and take on a closer appearance to our showroom samples.
Nebraska Furniture Mart does not cut doors for carpet clearance. The installers will remove doors to install carpet and replace them, but will not replace doors if they require trimming.
In most installations, carpet seams are common, however no seam is totally invisible. Due to different textures, patterns and direction of light, some seams may be more visible than others, Please discuss with your installer any seams you may have questions about before he leaves your home.
After installation you will probably notice some leftover pieces of carpet. This is normal and due to the fact that most rooms are narrower or wider than the standard 12-foot wide carpet. Your installer will collect and bag scrap pieces and vacuum your new carpet. Larger pieces of carpet will be left for your use.
Many carpets now have backing that is highly abrasive to painted or varnished surfaces and to freshly applied wallpaper. We recommend that freshly painted, or newly wallpapered walls be allowed to completely dry at least four days prior to installation. Your installer will take added care to minimize these scratches but minor touch up may be needed after installation.
Nebraska Furniture Mart flooring orders marked Balance Before Delivery (BBD) that are not paid in full five days prior to installation will not be installed on the set date and will need to be rescheduled when payment is received.
If for any reason measuring cannot be done on the day scheduled please contact us immediately at 1-800-544-6028. Your measure agent will call you the morning of the measure, between 7am and 12pm depending on your measure timeframe to arrange a time to meet with you. Your presence at the measuring is important.
You will be contacted within three working days after your measurement. If you have not been contacted please call the flooring service at 1-800-544-6028. Prior to scheduling an installation we must have your price approval on the exact sizes and costs associated with your job. After price approval, you may set a date for installation. This is a Tentative Installation Date. Scheduled Installation Dates may be based on product availability.
Extra labor services may be required. These may include, but are not limited to: the take up and haul away of existing floor coverings, stair labor, spindles, trim labor, subfloor preparation or furniture moving. These special labor services require additional charges. Installers will only perform work shown on the work order. The work order is created by a sales associate after the measure has been completed and you have been contacted by a sales associate to discuss the measurements. Any extra work required not written on the work order will be subject to additional charges. Floor Tolerance is very important with certain products. The measure agent will look for this while measuring. If there is existing carpet on the floor; the exact Floor Tolerance cannot be determined. Likewise Water Damage may be hidden under layers of flooring. What cannot be seen cannot be accurately priced.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please call our Customer Service: 1-800-544-6028

Are all of the planks the same length?
wikiHow Contributor
All the planks from a manufacturer are one length, but you should cut them to fit your floor.
Do I have to have a lock on each end of the laminate, or can I use scraps from time to time with no locks to reduce waste?
wikiHow Contributor
When you get one row done and you need to saw a piece of the laminate off, you can use it as the beginning of the next row. Then the part without a lock is facing the wall anyway.
Can I install laminate on top of ceramic tiles?
wikiHow Contributor
Yes, but only if the tile is in good condition and level. If it is damaged or starting to come up, then you should remove it first or you will end up with a disaster and it will waste your money. There could also be a height issue with the doors.
Do I need to lay polythene under the underlay on a wooden ground floor before installing the laminate?
wikiHow Contributor
Follow the manufacturer's recommendation. Some require polyethylene in addition to padding, some allow it, and others will void the warranty if you use plastic on a wood sub floor.
Will there be short pieces at the end of a row?
wikiHow Contributor
When you cut the pieces, yes, there will be shorter pieces at the end. You may then use the other part of that cut piece as the beginning of the next row.
I have just discovered some bulges in my newly installed laminate floor. Is there any way to repair this?
wikiHow Contributor
The bulges probably mean that the floor is not flat, which means starting over again, I'm afraid. You must check and control the flatness. Also check for any damp areas -- this would swell the laminate (if wood). And don't forget to lay an underlay -- felt or a rubber-composite-type floor covering.
How should I treat the edge finishing at the front door?
wikiHow Contributor
Use a t-molding or other transition strip made for joining carpet, tile etc.
Do I have to glue the laminate onto a tile floor, or will be the underlayment be enough?
wikiHow Contributor
It is best to fit a laminate floor as a floating floor, with expansion gaps around the edges. If you glue the laminate down, you will run into problems as the humidity and temperature naturally changes.
What do I do when an ending wall has too big of a gap?
wikiHow Contributor
Ideally, use a table saw to rip the width down to fit, otherwise carefully use a jigsaw or circular saw - cutting from the underside, with masking tape along the cut line. Try a small cut first to see which way minimizes chipping.
