Master of the decks, ruler of the airwaves and a legend on the White Isle for almost 30 years, Judge Jules heads to The Factory in Barnstaple. The Ibiza favourite and former BBC Radio 1 presenter told Rosanna Rothery just why the Judge won't budge.
What can we expect from your new material?
One thing I've learnt is to avoid getting too hung up about genres, because musical trends in dance music come and go with the seasons. My sole barometer of good and bad is how tunes work at my gigs.
While you could certainly point in the direction of the influences that my music falls under, which would be trance/EDM with a bit of house, I'd like to think that my unique style avoids the stigma of genres, which ultimately makes things more timeless.
What is signature Judge Jules, would you say?
I guess as a DJ it's a combination of factors, rather than there being one individual facet of me as a performer. My mixing is strong, my track selection fast and furious and I play lots of my own mash ups and versions of things. I'd love to say something a little bit more outlandish but that's about the most accurate assessment.
What's given you such staying power?
I don't think you can fool anybody, you can't fake it. I absolutely love what I do and pour everything into it my heart and soul. These days I might be a music lawyer during the week and just DJ at weekends but it's still a job that takes a massive amount of background work. For every two-hour performance, there are multiple hours of preparation and it's that hard work in the background and that genuine, impossible-to-fake enthusiasm during my performances that have given me longevity.

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -
It's in every home in the country, but too much of it has been known to cause serious health problems, even death. It is mold and experts say it is very common in South Carolina.
But what about if you are renting an apartment? In South Carolina, there are no laws to protect you or force your landlord to clean it up. We met one viewer who ended up in court after months of trying to get her apartment complex to remove the mold growing in her apartment.
Navy veteran Lakisha Miles was impressed when she moved in to a two-bedroom apartment in Austin Woods Apartments.
I came here and saw the crown molding, Miles said. I fell in love with the apartment. It's a beautiful apartment on the outer shell, but what's going on between the walls?
The questions started last summer when Miles' children started getting headaches.
This is where they spent a lot of their time. This was the main restroom they used, she said. That's when I got information. There was a flood next door, and it wasn't cleaned up properly.
Miles says numerous requests for clean up to the Austin Woods Apartment managers went unanswered, so she called in her own mold expert.
Report came back, there were seven types of mold growing in this downstairs bathroom, Miles said.
After months of not getting anywhere and an emergency room visit for a respiratory infection, Miles stopped paying her rent and called us.

WIS Investigates: State law does not protect tenants from mold
Expensive. More expensive. Really expensive. These words sum up the cost of dealing with sewage in Rowan.
Town leaders, experts, and citizens gathered in Rowan March 23 to talk about what to do regarding a sewage treatment system for the tiny town. Currently, buildings in Rowan have septic tanks. A few of those tanks are connected to a proper leach field. But the vast majority are connected to one of three or four tile lines that drain into local creeks and eventually the Iowa River. The state says this has to stop.
Human waste was found coming from the tile lines when tests were done about eight years ago, said David Miller of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. The federal Clean Water Act of 1972 makes it illegal to drain a septic system into a creek or river. Rowan has been violating federal law for over 40 years, and it has to stop. The DNR doesnt care what method you use, just that you do something.
Here is whats happened so far:
--January 2008: Rowan received a Notice of Violation from the DNR.
--August 2009: A preliminary plan to solve the problem was presented.
--March 2011: The city was offered a $1.13 million grant plus a $590,000 low-interest loan (40 years at 2.5% interest) from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Rural Development.
--March 2014: City leaders viewed an updated sewer plan.
--Also in March of 2014, Rowan was designated as a Disadvantaged Community which gave city leaders until March 2016 to come up with a general plan, and until September 2018 to submit a compliance plan.
However, the USDA grant and loan offer expires September 30, 2015. So if the town doesnt act by then, it will have to reapply. According to Preston Sandstrom of the USDA, You have to show some progress in the next six months or youll have to apply again. And the money may or may not be there this time. Funding is limited.
