Issue 17: Ruby Ryder Sheds The Light On Strap On Sex

    - February 24, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

Want to Bend Over Your Boyfriend?

According to Wikipedia, pegging is a sexual practice in which a woman penetrates a mans anus with a strap-on dildo. The word pegging was popularized when it became the winning entry in a contest in Dan Savages Savage Love sex advice column, held after an observation was made that there was no common name for the act.

Ruby Ryder, creator of the site Pegging Paradise http://www.peggingparadise.com , is becoming known as The Pegging Queen on the internet and throughout Southern California BDSM circles, where she has taught classes on the practice of pegging. I recently met Ruby at a local munch, and we immediately connected because of our mutual interests in erotica writing and female dominance. She graciously agreed to be interviewed for FEMDOM Magazine.

Tell me a little about your website, Pegging Paradise?

I created Pegging Paradise in May of 2010. I have an active blog where I post erotic shorts, lovely pegging photos, interesting sex-related articles that I discover elsewhere on the internet, personal stories and of course, all kinds of discussions about everything to do with pegging.

I also offer erotic pegging story memberships. My subscriptions provide members with a story a month for an entire year. The levels of membership are called the 6 inch, 9 inch and I Want It All (which gives access to all my story archives). I am working on recording all my stories as MP3s, and Im really enjoying that endeavor. The first two I have completed are the free sample stories; so you can listen to those on my website. In the future I will have regular podcasts as well.

So thats basically what I offer at Pegging Paradise. But its much more than that. I have worked hard to make it a place where newbie peggers can come and find answers to all their questions. I have an extensive section for people who are new to pegging, a great FAQ section, and articles about how to convince your partner to peg you. All these areas of my website are by far the most popular. There are a lot of people exploring the concept of strap-on sex right now. And a lot of people who have tried it and have questions, too.

What inspired you to create your website?

I wanted a website to offer my erotica to the public. Dan Savage was instrumental in the creation of the word pegging ten years ago, but the word was just beginning to gain popularity. I decided it was the perfect time to grab an available domain and go for it. Also, to give Dan Savage some credit, on one of his podcasts he was telling a caller to embrace her unusual kinks, that the internet was made for finding others who share the same kink. For me, it was the right words at the right time. Thats exactly that I did, and Pegging Paradise is a large part of embracing my kinks.

How did you feel about wanting to use a strap-on on a man?

The 69-room Ramada Hotel Portrush Northern Ireland and the 115-room Holiday Inn Express Stockport

The immediate addition of the 69-room Ramada Hotel Portrush Northern Ireland, together with next year's opening of the 115-room Holiday Inn Express Stockport, reinforces Interstate's position as the premier hotel management company in the UK.

Robert Crook, Interstate's managing director for the UK, said: "We're delighted to sign-up these two hotels, which complement our evolving UK portfolio, and look forward to working alongside the owners to realise the full potential of their hotel assets."

The Ramada Hotel Portrush, located in the heart of the popular seaside resort, offers a welcome, relaxing retreat, with plush beds, flat-screen televisions and Wi-Fi access as well as a number of flexible meeting venues, making it the perfect place to visit for business or pleasure. Its central location is ideal for exploring local attractions, including the historic Old Bushmills Distillery and the legendary basalt formations Giant's Causeway.

The Holiday Inn Express Stockport, meanwhile, is a new build hotel of 115 bedrooms scheduled to open in Spring 2016. Located just seven miles east of Manchester city centre, Stockport is presently buzzing with activity as a result of an ambitious regeneration scheme which aims to revitalise its residential property and retail markets in a similar fashion to what has been achieved in Manchester.

"Winning the management contracts for these two hotels against stiff competition represents a significant enhancement of our portfolio of full and select service branded hotels throughout the length and breadth of the UK," added Crook. "Our dedicated UK management platform, backed by Interstate's institutional-quality scale and long and strong brand relations, delivers exceptional service to guests and superior results to owners."

"We welcome Anne Donaghy, General Manager at Ramada Hotel Portrush, together with her team, to the Interstate family with immediate effect and look forward to working with the owners in preparation for next year's opening of Holiday Inn Express Stockport. Students and faculty reflect on potential construction concerns for Bamboo Terrace restaurant

    - February 24, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

Construction to expand Geronimos dining hall started earlier this month, but residents and faculty are in talks of whether or not it will cause problems.

The expansion, called the Bamboo Terrace restaurant, began earlier this month and is set to open for the new residents this coming August. The new area will carry on a pan-Asian menu, with food from various regions of China, and other parts of Asia. The renovation will take place in an area approximately 6,900 square feet.

So with such a huge addition, dorm residents wonder if it will cause problems or commotion.

I dont think it would cause commotion for the residents because Geronimos is pretty isolated from the dorms, said junior, marine biology major and housing resident Richard Yan. Most of the people eat at night when there is no construction.

Other housing residents, like sophomore CTVA major Robin Royal, expresses an concern the construction will indeed cause commotion, depending on how much space is used up versus how much space the expansion really is.

This also brings into question whether or not the expansion will cause problems for nearby traffic. Seeing as how the Satellite Student Union building is located at the northeastern-most point of campus, residents and daily commuters wonder whether construction will cause problems for traffic on the corner of Lassen Street and Zelzah Avenue.

John Johnson, assistant manager of Geronimos, disagrees with that notion, and suspects the construction will not pour out into the street corner, so commuters have nothing to fear.

Tim Killops, the associate director of Facilities and Projects, assures the project will not extend beyond the walls of the Satellite Student Union.

It definitely wont affect the dorm community, Killops said. Our project takes place entirely inside the Satellite Student Union. Any deliveries of building supplies will take place behind the parking lot of the SSU. Trucks would come in, make their deliveries and head back out, so there wont be any problem with traffic.

Housing residents should have nothing to worry about from the outside of the building. It may or may not be so for those eating inside. The construction is set to continue until the end of the summer.

    The Insider: Teeth-Mex

Get your teeth cleaned, then have a burrito. Construction workers are clearing a site for a new Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurant in the Southeast Plaza at the 800 block of Cypress Gardens Boulevard in Winter Haven. The Chipotle will share the 5,900-square-foot building with the Aspen Dental Clinic. Chipotle already has restaurants on South Florida Avenue in Lakeland, and there is another under construction at the former TGIFridays site just north of Lakeland Square mall. Chipotle pioneered the "fast-casual" restaurant style in 1993 in Denver and now has nearly 1,800 restaurants throughout the U.S.

New healthcare facility in Maple Creek nears completion

    - February 24, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

    Published on February 23, 2015

After a series of unexpected delays and service location changes, the community of Maple Creek is excited by the prospect of construction being completed at the Southwest Integrated Healthcare Facility.

Construction completion at the Southwest Integrated Healthcare Facility is anticipated by mid April, which would pave the way for a May opening of the $37 million healthcare facility.

The Cypress Regional Health Authority provided a construction update at their February 11 meeting, noting that work will be completed over the coming weeks.

"We are anticipating, if the schedule continues to go according to plan, and the general contractors are also attempting to pick up where they can as far as scheduling goes, we're hoping to have substantial completion in that area in mid April. Which would then allow us to get in there, do our more substantial cleans, move the remainder of the equipment and furnishings into those areas, and hopefully be ready for occupancy some time in early to mid May," explained Bryce Martin, Vice President of Communications and Stakeholder Relations.

A shortage of skilled tradespeople resulted in a delay from the originally scheduled summer 2014 opening, with a rescheduled mid-November 2014 possession date then stretched into early in 2015.

The construction completion plan will focus on wholly finishing work in one area before moving into other areas. Phase one consists of the Universal Care Unit area and a good portion of the Acute Care area in the Integrated Facility, while phase two is the remainder of the Acute Care area and the three Long Term Care houses.

"Phase one, we are now to a point they're just going through the final deficiency lists with the general contractor in phase one, and we're going to be to a point where we can gain substantial completion on that one for February 23."

By completing this initial portion of the facility, it will allow the health region to begin moving in equipment and furnishings into the rooms. It will also permit staff to start being orientated to their new surroundings in advance of the opening.

However, there is still painting and flooring being installed in the long term care area, so the entire facility remains a construction zone.

Getting to the Root of Lawn Growth: The Grounds Guys Offers Tips on Dethatching and Aeration of Lawns

    - February 24, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

WACO, Texas (PRWEB) February 23, 2015

Over time, little bits and pieces of grass die and gather just above the soil causing thatch to build up on lawns. In the same way, foot traffic on a lawn compacts the surface and hardens the upper inches of soil, limiting lawn growth. According to the experts at The Grounds Guys, dethatching and aeration can alleviate these issues and help a lawn flourish.

Thatch, a thick, interwoven mat of living and dead materials, accumulates on the surface of the soil when grass grows faster than it decomposes. It is beneficial to lawns in small amounts, however, if thatch builds up on a lawn, it can form a barrier that prevents moisture and air from reaching a lawns roots. This can hamper lawn growth and increase risk for pests and diseases.

Compacted soil a term describing ground where the soil is pressed tightly together occurs slowly over time after pressure from walking on the lawn. The roots and water both struggle to penetrate the compacted soil, often resulting in patches of dead, brown lawn. Aeration, the process of adding small holes to the soil that allow air, water and nutrients to reach a lawns roots, can help.

Here are basic tips about dethatching and aeration from the experts at The Grounds Guys:

    Dethatching

    Aeration

The Grounds Guys dethatching and aeration services can help breathe new life into your lawn by providing better air and water absorption into the soil. For more information on dethatching and aeration, give their team of experts a call at 1-888-992-4251 or visit GroundsGuys.com.

Oak Hill approves land use change

    - February 24, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

    Published: Monday, February 23, 2015 at 3:16 p.m. Last Modified: Monday, February 23, 2015 at 11:23 p.m.

OAK HILL The City Commission on Monday night approved a landowners request to add manufacturing to the list of allowable uses on the 415 acres he and his partners own in the south end of town, possibly opening the door for a mystery company to set up shop and hire an initial 100 people.

Also approved was a request to increase the maximum height limit of buildings on the land from 35 feet to 100 feet.

The vacant property on the east side of U.S. 1 from Church Street on south was previously zoned to allow for up to 75 percent to be developed as homes and 25 percent as commercial retail or offices.

The approvals, by a 4 to 1 vote and then a unanimous vote, came after more than two hours of highly impassioned testimony from the public, which included those in opposition who asked why the identity of the potential user of the land, known by locals as the Unatin property, was shrouded in secrecy, as well as those who saw the request as an opportunity to create well-paying jobs and long-sought water/sewer lines through the city along U.S. 1.

Kent Sharples, president of the CEO Business Alliance, a group of Volusia County business leaders who have been working with the mystery company codenamed Project Panther, told the audience prior to the commissions vote that if the amendment request was approved, I promise you Ill bring the site selector to offer more details regarding the proposed project at a future meeting.

Sharples confirmed that the company was looking to initially create 100 jobs, which could eventually grow to 300. He added that it was unlikely the company, whom he declined to identify, would build a manufacturing facility 100 feet in height.

Beth Lemke, president of Planning Solutions Corp., which provides planning services to the city, said the amendment changes would restrict development of the Unatin property to no more than 145 acres, if it were to be used for manufacturing, with the rest set aside as conservation land. The environmental impacts of the development would remain the same as allowed under the citys existing comprehensive plan for the so-called activity center.

Prior to the meeting, which drew an overflow crowd of more than 100 people, three environmental groups Audubon Florida, 1000 Friends of Florida, and the National Parks Conservation Association sent letters to Oak Hill Mayor Douglas Gibson and members of the City Commission urging them to hold off on approving the requested amendment changes until adequate data and analysis about the proposed project could be conducted.

We have reason to believe that the proposed comprehensive plan amendment is an attempt to site ground support for launch facilities associated with the proposed spaceport outside the process required of the National Environmental Policy Act, wrote Charles Lee, director of advocacy for Audubon Florida, referring to the proposed Shiloh space complex in the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge just south of Oak Hill.

Fire destroys Lee County house, space heaters to blame

    - February 24, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

LEE COUNTY, Ia. (WGEM) - Only a shell of a house stands after firefighters spent an hour and half putting out a fire Monday that likely was sparked by space heaters.Firefighters say the renters were heating the home with four space heaters plugged into extension cords.

"Too many space heaters on stuff gets the wiring hot and it's not a real safe way to be heating your home," Denmark Fire Chief Neal Gathers said.

Gathers says his firefighters and the Weaver Fire Department were called to 1950 295th Ave., north of Fort Madison, at 3:40 a.m. Gathers said when crews arrived the two-story home was fully-engulfed on the north side of the home, with fire coming out of windows on both floors.

A mother and daughter were in the home when the fire started, and the family dog woke them up.The women made it out okay, but it was a close call and a reminder of how dangerous space heaters can be.

"It's not a good idea," Quincy electrician Steve Edgar said. "In fact most people are not aware that anything with a heating element, such as a space heater, usually take considerably more energy than what they think it does, so it's very easy to overload a circuit."

Edgar says the age of the house could have added to the problem because many older homes have outdated wiring. He advises that anyone using a space heater does not plug it into an extension cord.

"Extension cords are meant to be temporary at best, and when you have something that takes as much energy as a space heater it's not a good idea to leave them there permanently," Edgar said.

"I'd say we had the fire under control in about an hour and a half," Gathers said. "It took a little longer. The cold weather makes things a little tougher but everything went really smooth today. We didn't have any trucks freeze up, so we were lucky on that and nobody got hurt, so that was the most important thing."

Gathers said the mother and daughter went to a family member's home in West Burlington, Iowa. The house's owner says he does not plan to rebuild.
