Experienced Business Owner Opens TruBlue of Mason and Lebanon

    - February 12, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) February 11, 2015

Experienced business owner Arthur Asesyan and his wife Ann are looking forward to bringing a new and unique kind of company to the Warren County area through their new business, TruBlue Total House Care of Mason and Lebanon.

TruBlue of Mason and Lebanon specializes in providing complete house care, including maid services, lawn care, home improvements and emergency repairs. TruBlue works with home owners, business owners, real estate professionals, general contractors and property managers to maintain homes and rental properties, improve curb appeal, make final preparations to sell homes and more.

I own a local restaurant, but I was ready to get into something that would give me more time and that I could be involved in from the ground level. We looked into handyman services and maid services, but I knew I wanted a franchise and I knew I wanted something flexible enough to allow me to meet the needs of my clients. The concept of whole home management is something I think people will really love, Arthur said.

This locally-owned TruBlue serves Lebanon, Mason, South Lebanon, Middletown, Morrow, Monroe, Hamilton, Maineville and the surrounding areas. All TruBlue franchises are fully insured and bonded and all employees are background checked and certified.

Arthur has been in business since he was 19 and the couple currently owns a local restaurant. He said building a successful restaurant business requires a solid understanding of customer services and client satisfaction as well as business management, project management and more. Hes looking forward to bringing his experience to this budding franchise and making TruBlue of Mason and Lebanon a success.

We want people to know that we are reliable and convenient. In my experience as a business owner, I know how frustrating it can be to get contractors and service people to even call you back. That will NOT be an issue with TruBlue. We will be here for what you need when you need it, Arthur said.

Its extremely important to me and my team that every single customer is 100 percent satisfied. Well be on time, our work will be quality and our people will be professional. We are committed to excellent customer service and to building relationships with our clients, so were going to do everything we can to make that happen, he added.

    Interview: Nelson Regional EDA

    - February 12, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

Liam Butler interviews Melissa Hutcheson Development Manager Nelson Regional EDA

Melissa what are some of the economic opportunities presented by an ageing population?

The economic opportunities presented by an ageing population are many and varied. I think it is important to say at the beginning that people need to focus on positive outcomes and on using positive language when discussing this topic.

We know that the population of people 65+ has doubled since 1980 and will double again by 2036. By 2036 approximately 24 percent of New Zealanders will be 65+ and by 2061 that could increase to 30% with a significant increase in the number of people 85+.

    Key areas of impact include:

As the health and mobility of people 65+ continues to improve ageing in place will be a big theme as people will want to stay in their own homes for as long as possible. There will be a segment of people wanting to downsize their home size and this will increase demand for smaller housing options. Other ageing place/housing related opportunities include: age-friendly features for homes such as assistive technology, home modifications, mobility support, security features and low maintenance designs and products. Alongside these opportunities is the need for more gardeners, home handyman services, and cleaning and home help services.

An ageing workforce present a number of opportunities as well, including job redesign to keep people working longer, and in less physically demanding jobs. At the same time there are some sectors, such as aged care and agriculture, that have an over-representation of older workers, who will all retire around the same time. In many regions of New Zealand there is a need and an opportunity to retain older workers for longer to offset the reduced numbers of younger people. Employers and managers need to begin, if they havent already, having conversations with their older workers about how they can work together to keep people working for longer and transition older workers from high stress to lower stress work. Some options include: part-time or reduced hours of work, flexible work options, reduced responsibility. Employers seeking to hire older workers can focus on skills rather than age, and provide equal access to training and promotion. Employers will provide opportunities for older workers to mentor, teach and share knowledge with younger workers, and will continue to value and demonstrate respect for older workers.

Changing demographics will affect consumption patterns. The older demographic is the only growth market, and with more resources that older people in the past and business need to adapt to this opportunity. Savvy businesses will ensure that mature consumers are well served.

In New Zealand there is a general need for upskilling to deliver the increases in productivity needed to maintain economic growth, and one of the keys to this is education and training for all ages of workers. This presents an opportunity for education entrepreneurs to cater for adults and to offer concise learning packages that address needs.

Trustworthy investment instruments will also find a ready market in older people. There are numerous opportunities for businesses and products to help manage savings and to fund retirement activity and aged residential care.

    Dirty FBN gutter

    - February 12, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

I wish to draw the attention of the management of First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Bolade Oshodi branch to the killing odour emanating from the gutter around its fence which has left customers, especially those making use of the ATM machine vulnerable to disease.

I visited the bank on Wednesday morning in a bid to use the ATM but practically vomited for about 28 minutes I was in the queue as a result of the odour oozing out from the gutter which apparently forced me to retreat.

The ugly experience had left me wondering what corporate social responsibility means to this branch. One will not be asking for too much if the gutter is covered to avoid dumping dangerous substances into it.

On the other hand, regular cleaning can be ideal. The banks esteemed customers deserve a better deal!

    Funnel webs on the march

    - February 12, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

    Feb. 12, 2015, 6 p.m.

He was on a mission to clean the gutters. Minutes later his wife was phoning triple-0.

How to catch a funnel web spider

It was a damp day last April, and Steve O'Neill described himself as "on a mission" to clean the gutters around his Balgowlah home.

"I had my hand reached up high, cleaning the leaves and I didn't have gloves on. I felt something bite one of fingers on my right hand," he said.

Immediately, Mr O'Neill pulled his hand from the gutter, and saw what looked like a spider fall to the ground. Alarmed and in immense pain, he ran inside and called his wife Natasha, who phoned triple-0.

"I was panicking, my heart rate was up and I was thinking 'God what is going to happen next if this is a nasty bite what is going to happen to me,'" said Mr O'Neill.

With a suspected funnel-web spider bite, he was taken to Manly hospital by ambulance and was placed under observation and blood tests were taken.

According to NSW Ambulance, 2015 has already seen a spike in spider bites.

Broncos changing to real grass at Mile High

    - February 12, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

DENVER - The Denver Broncos will be playing on real grass, instead of a synthetic-grass blend, next season at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Team officials said workers began removing the field surface on Monday and plan to have the new grass field in place in early April.

The surface has been a synthetic-grass blend put in place when the stadium opened in 2001. The new surface will be 100 percent Kentucky bluegrass sod. Officials said the sod will be grown by Graffs Turf Farms in Fort Morgan.

The first event on the new field will be the Denver Outlaws home opener against the Charlotte Hounds on May 3.

"After completing extensive upgrades to the stadium in recent years, our focus now is providing the safest and best possible playing surface at Sports Authority Field at Mile High," said Zach Myhra, Director of Facilities for Stadium Management Company.

Lower Nazareth to feds: Keep PennEast pipeline away from our homes, school

    - February 12, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

Lower Nazareth leaders have a softer message than most for the authorities behind the proposed PennEast pipeline: Just steer clear of our school and as many homes as possible.

The township's Board of Supervisors agreed Wednesday night to send a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission that won't state any direct support or opposition to the project.

But they do have some requests concerning the line, which would carry 1 billion cubic feet of natural gas a day from the Wilkes-Barre area through the Lehigh Valley to a distribution terminal outside Trenton, N.J.

Supervisors want the pipeline's route to be set as far away from Lower Nazareth Elementary School and residences as possible and be directed instead toward the township's undeveloped farmland.

"So as few residents as possible will be inconvenienced," board Chairman James Pennington said.

The letter also will request that Lower Nazareth not be considered as a possible location for the pipeline's compressor station and to have as few, if any, above-ground valves as possible.

In addition, Township Manager Timm Tenges said it's likely the letter will include a request for the township to receive some sort of financial benefit, as well as an option for residents and local businesses to tap into the line.

Supervisor Robert Kucsan said if residents have particular concerns with the path of the pipeline, they should contact officials to see if adjustments can be made. At least, that's what he did.

"If the pipeline would have gone in the way it was [initially drafted], they would probably knock down two of my gazebos and have to take out my pool," he said.

Kucsan said he discussed the issues with project representatives and received a revised route map that accommodated his request.

'Master' sued over failed black magic

    - February 12, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

    Jasmine Siu

    Thursday, February 12, 2015

Fung Mei-yee, 49, filed the writ - which included claims of black magic - seeking damages for fraudulent misrepresentation, interest, costs and other relief from Szeto, who is professionally known as Szeto Fat-ching.

The dispute between the two began with a Fung family feud in or about March 2004.

That was when an elder sister, Fung Mei-lin, and brother Fung Hon-keung fell out with Fung and the rest of the family over a family trust set up in the 1990s.

The feud led to protracted litigation, which drained Fung's financial resources and those of her father, Fung Kwong- fat.

At the same time, her mother, Wong Kit-wan, became chronically ill and immobile due to a back injury caused by a fall in 1995.

Things took an even worse turn in mid-2009 when Fung began suspecting that her sister and brother-in-law Cheung Wai-man had used black magic to put a curse on her, her parents and younger brother Terence Fung Kwok- keung.

Helpless and emotionally exhausted, she turned to Szeto after seeing him appear as a guest consultant on a television show that delved into "supernatural" activities.

She "beseeched" him to help her and began divulging her family background, the history of the litigation and trust fund, and her suspicions about her sister and brother-in-law during their first meeting on August 25, 2009, according to the writ.
